Great service and a delicious meal. We were visiting from out of town and showed up 30 minutes before closing - hungry. They were very gracious and welcomed us in. Took our big order for 5 and had us served within 30 minutes. They insisted we stay seated and eat even though it was past closing. While we ate, they worked away on our delicious shakes and brought those out just as we finished our food so we could take dessert with us. Overall great experience. Made custom vegetarian burrito bowls for my daughters and really went up and beyond. Thank you! I didn't mention: restaurant was very clean; restrooms were spotless; felt very inviting. The vibe is super friendly and welcoming, and the service makes you feel right at home. The food is next-level. The mole was incredible--deep, rich, and just the right amount of spice and sweetness. We saw this spot and thought we would try it out. I ordered the daily special Posole which was delicious, my husband had the Birria and my son had a cheese quesadilla. We were all pleased. Service was beyond pleasant. He went above and beyond to explain things and make sure we knew about the taco bar, etc. We all ordered plain tap water and were pleasantly surprised it came in a huge chilled glass and was super cold and delicious. I can't speak to the rest of the menu because they're so good and I keep coming back for the same thing. The restaurant is also clean with nice tables and a good atmosphere. I was really craving soup. The only thing I added once home was sliced radishes & shredded cabbage. The container of hot sauce was included, I added just a tad & boy did that send it over the top! Load it up at the self-serve condiment bar with onions (white and red), cilantro, red (hot) and green (mild) sauce, lettuce, and thinly-sliced radishes. The service is friendly, cheerful, and personal. This is a small mom-and-pop cafe-style restaurant. Barefoot friendly. Despite what many people believe, there is no law or regulation requiring customers to wear shoes. I do not wear shoes. No mention was made of my bare feet. Not overly sweet, which I appreciate. The birria taco (red crispy) is a nice size & very tender/flavorful. The shrimp taco had a ton of shrimp in it, but it was a bit soggy for me, but still good. My favorite item that I ordered was the rolled crispy chicken taquitos. Perfection. They came drizzled with crema, on a bed of finely shredded lettuce & sliced tomato on top. They're served with a chicken broth/consume' for dipping which takes the dish to a whole other level of flavor. I will definitely be back for those! There's a salsa/veggie topping bar with house-pickled onion, cilantro, shredded cabbage, etc. you can grab some stewed beans from the crock pot, too!
