This particular location of Tijuana Flats not far off of 528 in Lake Nona. I have to say that as far as fast food goes, Tijuana Flats is a pretty good choice. The staff herevwere friendly and professional and the overall ambiaance and vibe was pleasant enough. Probably my favorite part of Tijuana Flats is their hot sauce bar. I love spicy food and this hot sauce bar definitely appeals to me. Lake Nona has grown so much in the last decade or so and it is finally getting more restaurants. When I walked into Tijuana Flats I was greeted by the friendly staff who took my order right away. We sat outside and they brought our food to us pretty fast which was nice. We started with the Atom Bomb for an appetizer and when we received it, it was covered in oil. They were so greasy and just dripping with oil and when you got to the inside it was bland. I tasted my husband's Steak Flautas and both of us agreed the steak was fatty and barely any flavor. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga and that was bland as well not even the toppings could help this chimichanga. The chicken also tasted old. This is the first time I've been to Tijuana Flats and had such horrible food, thank god for all the hot sauces they offer because that's the only way we were able to eat it. Free extra beer!? Sure! I came to Tijuana Flats with my husband and ordered a draft beer. The beer I got had maybe 1.5 inches of foam on it (which I'll be honest is 100% fine with me), but the gentleman who served me the beer said he would bring me a little more out when he changed the keg to make up for it. He ended up bringing me another full beer for absolutely free. A great experience and will definitely be coming back to enjoy some of the daily specials and of course more beer! 10/10! read more

A friend recommended this place and I had huge concerns but we heard about the origin story and was trying to keep open minded. The different sauces are fun but the guacamole was NOT great (like a paste?? definitely not fresh). My friend had the burrito (should've stuck with that since that seemed fine), they charged us for extra rice which we didn't order but only discovered after eating the burrito and checking the receipt. I walked in around 5pm and knew that it would be the start of that family dinner time rush. However, I didn't expect a quick service restaurant to take 20 minutes. Okay, okay I can get over that. I had time, not that big of a deal. Pros: They played good music, there was plenty of room to wait and it was visibility clean. The quesadilla (kids meal) was huge and also delicious. Cheesy goodness oh yahhhhh! Cons: The issue? I got home and my entire order was wrong. I checked the receipt to see if maybe I ordered something wrong but it only had the generic item listed. There's no way I made a mistake on everything. Plain chimichanga and loaded burrito? Nope- they were switched. Chicken quesadilla- nope, got a cheese one. The guacamole was pretty flavorless (but not bad) and the serving is super small. Just a heads up. The toppings for the quesadilla were pretty icky looking and the chips were stale. Extremely underwhelming. I'm hoping to reach out to the manager/owner and give my feedback as well. I didn't want to call this evening because they were slammed. We used to love this location's food, but it's gone downhill significantly in the past few years. We ordered delivery through a delivery service multiple times during isolation. At first it seemed like our orders just got messed up (missing an ingredient or something here and there). Unfortunately, things got worse and the past two times there has been hair in food (two separate occasions, about a month apart). When I called and spoke with the manager, he refunded us, but it seemed as if it was no big deal. Hair in food....twice....just beyond gross. The worst part is that the food (both times) was for my son. So, this mama bear definitely won't be returning to this location, nor recommending it to others. read more

Great location! Haven't been to a Tijuana Flats in a while and since this location is closest vs the Avalon location we decided to come here. Service was super quick, staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious! They also had a steady flow of patrons so I was more impressed because it was steady traffic. My beef burrito was delicious and my partner's chimichanga was great! We also got the cookie dough flautas and they were everything we had hoped for. Can't wait to come back! First time at Tijuana Flats even though I've eaten it for takeout...location was good and we sat outside. Didn't have to wait too long since I ordered a salad and my husband the chicken burrito. Service was good but the food was nothing special...as mentioned I've eaten the food before but it's the first time out and the food was just ok...not much beef in my salad and not enough chicken in the burrito. I've never had a bad experience with customer service, and since the entrance is not automatic the staff has always held the door without prompting them. I am a weekly regular for Tijuana Tuesdaze where you get two tacos, chips, and a soft drink for $5.40+tax. Each taco is easily customized to your preferences and if you wanted to split the meal with a friend, they will put each taco in its own tray, each with chips. This location is always pretty busy on Tuesdays for lunch, which makes for a great, lively atmosphere. You just have to snag your table at the right time or order online ahead of time. The staff are super helpful and on top of things refilling your chips and dip, and drinks really quickly and are happy to do so! I love when the manager comes around and checks on each table to see how we are doing and get us refills. If dining in, try giving your name and where you're sitting. That will give the server an idea of where to find you. The food is served kind of lukewarm to begin with. I have started coming here more often, and now that I'm doing that, I'm finding that things are not going as well as they have in the past. When you come here often, you see more flaws than if you'd only come here once in a while. Over the course of months, I have experienced: Smaller portions between visits, staff that has ignored me when I'm at the counter ready to order, workers that don't know how to run a transaction, food that has been chewy when it should have been crunchy, cheese that didn't taste right, food that was supposed to be taken off *still on the item*, price discrepancies between visits, and an attitude problem from one of the girls working there. (One of the tall ones.) It's a hard thing to keep me away when I find food that (most of the time) tastes *that* good. We all put up with agitations to get to something we really, like in life. I've expressed my frustration to management there, so I'm not just complaining to yelp readers, but there's just no escaping it. Very happy with my experience at this location. I've never been to a Tijuana flats not experienced their famous taco tuesday. The young woman at the counter couldn't be more pleasant to deal with my questions and very thorough with her answers. She tried to hook me up with the best flavors while getting the most out of my dollar. She fetched me my drinks and our food very quickly. She was nice enough to show me their hot sauce bar which is AMAZING and hilarious. The store itself was really nice and beautifully decorated with art and historical cartoons. It was clean, actively monitored, and the music set a perfect tone. As for the food, we got two taco tuesday deals for 5.99 each. Each came with two tacos, chips, and a drink. We got chicken and beef tacos but I really wish I tried the crispy fish tacos. The tacos weren't the best I've had but I would definitely have to say that it's worth the taco Tuesday deal.
