I literally ordered beef nachos with extra cheese. What did I get??? No cheese on nachos.

I never leave reviews, esp bad ones but I won't go back to this location. Ordered nachos with extra cheese. Basically got chips with a little lettuce, barely any beans and no cheese!

When I walked into Tijuana Flats I was greeted by the friendly staff who took my order right away. We sat outside and they brought our food to us pretty fast which was nice. We started with the Atom Bomb for an appetizer and when we received it, it was covered in oil. They were so greasy and just dripping with oil and when you got to the inside it was bland. I tasted my husband's Steak Flautas and both of us agreed the steak was fatty and barely any flavor. I ordered the Chicken Chimichanga and that was bland as well not even the toppings could help this chimichanga. The chicken also tasted old. This is the first time I've been to Tijuana Flats and had such horrible food, thank god for all the hot sauces they offer because that's the only way we were able to eat it. The service was fast and friendly but the food needs work.

Free extra beer!? Sure! I came to Tijuana Flats with my husband and ordered a draft beer. The beer I got had maybe 1.5 inches of foam on it (which I'll be honest is 100% fine with me), but the gentleman who served me the beer said he would bring me a little more out when he changed the keg to make up for it. He ended up bringing me another full beer for absolutely free. A great experience and will definitely be coming back to enjoy some of the daily specials and of course more beer! 10/10!

A friend recommended this place and I had huge concerns but we heard about the origin story and was trying to keep open minded. The different sauces are fun but the guacamole was NOT great (like a paste?? definitely not fresh). My friend had the burrito (should've stuck with that since that seemed fine), they charged us for extra rice which we didn't order but only discovered after eating the burrito and checking the receipt. Oh well. They do have some outdoor seating and were nice to come bring out the food after ordering at the counter.

I walked in around 5pm and knew that it would be the start of that family dinner time rush. However, I didn't expect a quick service restaurant to take 20 minutes. Okay, okay I can get over that. I had time, not that big of a deal. Pros: They played good music, there was plenty of room to wait and it was visibility clean. The quesadilla (kids meal) was huge and also delicious. Cheesy goodness oh yahhhhh! Cons: The issue? I got home and my entire order was wrong. I checked the receipt to see if maybe I ordered something wrong but it only had the generic item listed. There's no way I made a mistake on everything. Plain chimichanga and loaded burrito? Nope- they were switched. Chicken quesadilla- nope, got a cheese one. The guacamole was pretty flavorless (but not bad) and the serving is super small. Just a heads up. The toppings for the quesadilla were pretty icky looking and the chips were stale. Extremely underwhelming. I'm hoping to reach out to the manager/owner and give my feedback as well. I didn't want to call this evening because they were slammed. I've only been here once before so I'm hoping that this was just an off night. Eta: maybe I should've checked Yelp reviews before going in this last time/ YIKES! There seems the a trend for sure. That's such a bummer!!

First time at Tijuana Flats even though I've eaten it for takeout...location was good and we sat outside. Didn't have to wait too long since I ordered a salad and my husband the chicken burrito. Service was good but the food was nothing special...as mentioned I've eaten the food before but it's the first time out and the food was just ok...not much beef in my salad and not enough chicken in the burrito. We'll probably go to another location in the future to see if another location would be better.

To be completely honest after three separate visits I'm just not a big fan of Tijuana Flats. The food is mediocre at best and is just a more expensive Taco Bell in my opinion. I'm a fan of Flautas but each time I get them from this restaurant they're just bland and not as crispy as I'd prefer. The staff is very pleasant and very friendly to work with. I've never had a bad experience with customer service, and since the entrance is not automatic the staff has always held the door without prompting them. All in all if your a mediocre Tex-Mex fan then you'll enjoy Tijuana Flats...I give the food a solid three stars.

    A horribly made fish taco.
    Derek B.

Absolutely horrible fish tacos. The fish was soggy and not fried all the way. The taco was assembled with tortillas that were never cooked before making the taco. Tortillas fell completely apart, and ended up being a mushy fish taco salad. 4 words that should never go together. Too expensive for the quality it is. I cant even phone in an order. Waste of time and money.

I enjoyed Tijuana's spicy chicken tinga chimichanga! It had a nice kick and crunch. It was accompanied with lettuce and all of the fixings along with fresh tortilla chips. It was yummy to my tummy!

I've been to this place for the last 7+ years. It has not disappoint once. The staff is always friendly the management is great. Parking can be a little challenging at times depends LN the time of the day. Guacamole is perfect. They do have a hot sauce bar. The service is quick and the staff is friendly. The tea is always fresh. Alcoholic drink are for sale.

A bit pricey, but guacamole with chips, there's a very good amount of guacamole. I like their quesadillas too. All in all a good restaurant.

I ended up ordering the Wildberry Mule and requested it to be less sweet. The bartender recommended the boom boom sauce on any of the entrées, so I chose the Boom Boom Chicken Enchilada. It was the perfect amount of food, and I really enjoyed it. The boom boom sauce was pretty spicy, but really good. I had my thoughts on the frozen raspberry margarita that I had the time before that was so delicious but unfortunately they did not have that flavor this time. I got the strawberry and lime frozen margaritas swirled together with a sugar rim. The margarita was pretty good. I'd give it 3 out of 5 stars. For an entree, I ordered the chicken flautas. This comes with rice and refried beans. When served, the entree came with 6 flautas which to me seemed like a decent portion. I was very disappointed though because there was barely any meat inside each one and I swear there was no cheese. Which cheese makes the dish. They were extremely dry and I only ate like 2. The rice and beans made up for the dish. I appreciate the salsa and chips that get brought out to each table.

Unfortunately, as much as I love the food there and the ambience, especially on Cinco de Mayo, I was starving! I remembered around the corner there was a restaurant that had been recommended in the past, but I never got the chance to check out. Being that I was in the area, I figured let's give this spot a try. Lo and behold, El Pueblo was only six minutes down the road! There was a 20 minute wait, but I was greeted kindly by the staff, and when I walked in you could tell this place was super authentic. The decor was super vibrant and music was bumping. They do not have alcohol, but they have coronas and a margarita type glass premixed for purchase. That held us over for the time being. The chips and salsa were phenomenal. The salsa had some type of sweet pepper flavor to it and you could tell it was homemade. My friend got three tacos with rice and beans and I got the flautas you were able to choose your own meat, which was really cool no extra charge. Sometimes back up plans can end up being the best finds. Definitely will be back!!!!

However, since we've had my son, we're not in the area as much so we don't come as often, but we were at icon Park today and this seemed like the perfect place to take the rest of my family. It was an absolute hit! Grandma yelled at me for holding out on her! Why haven't you brought me here before? She had the agave chipotle queso chicken enchiladas. It was our servers recommendation and they were absolutely delicious. I had the birria appetizer and it was excellent. It was an appetizer, but it was so large. We couldn't eat it all and it could definitely be a meal if you wanted it to be. The absolute best thing is the kids menu. My son loves chips and queso so much. Queso dip is one of the sides you can get with the kids meal. How amazing is that? We go to some Mexican restaurants and I spend more on queso for this child than I do on a meal for him or even myself. He had the cheese quesadilla with queso and rice as sides. After lunch, I asked him if we could come back here and he said oh yes! My son ate most of his meal, but grandma and I both ended up taking to go boxes. I feel like the prices are pretty reasonable, especially the kids meal and for the portions they give you even for the adult meals. Our server was absolutely wonderful. She brought out fresh chips and salsa almost immediately, and as soon as our chips started to run low, she immediately replaced them. As soon as we ordered, I asked if she could bring my son's queso first and she gladly obliged. It was a very hot day and she kept our drinks full. We will definitely be back.
