Love this!!!! This is a great TexMex restaurant. One of the best locations I have been to. The employees were sooo friendly to everyone. They do want your business. I don't live near here, but do plan on going back. They have Taco Tuesday specials which is a really good deal. You get tacos, chips, salsa, and a drink for $7.99. There's so many salsas at the bar. You should try them all. They may even have a bottle of your favorite to take home. This location has an app and rewards so be sure to use that when ordering. You may even get an extra discount. It's been 10 years since my review and I have no complaints. Picked up to go but ended up dining in. The taco Tuesday deal is very good, can't beat it in today's economy. I occasionally crave a Tijuana flats taco specifically! I used to work at this location in high school and bring back a lot of nostalgia. The food is just as good as I remember. The queso dip sauce is my favorite of all the quesos at other Mexican restaurants. What I like about Tijuana is that it's casual dine in, the entrees are all of reasonable portions. The tacos come in one, two or threes and you can do any combination of protein, and taco shells, and the entrees come with chips that can be upgraded with beans and rice for an up charge. The toppings offered are Jalapeños, Onions, Lettuce, Tomato, and Sour Cream. They also have a "Powerlite" option that provides a lower calorie sour cream and shredded cheese toppings. And if you are a hot sauce fanatic ( or just a sauce fanatic in general) then you'll love the hot sauce bar that has a range of non-hot, medium, and very spicy sauce options to bring to your table or to go. I did get GAUC on the side which was okay, only downfall was that it was brown when I opened the lid. Tasty texmex eats. Loved Tijuana Flats way back when but haven't been for over a year. Why, because my last two experiences at a Tijuana Flats were not great. Not at this location but another nearby location. However recently I decided to give them another try at a different location, this one. It was like night and day between these two locations. This location is bright & clean. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food fresh. I ordered a chicken burrito and chicken quesadilla both with all the fixins to-go. Both were fresh, well prepared & packaged and delicious. They're located in a plaza with sufficient parking available. Oh my, great experience with delicious quick service Tex-Mex. I arrived just before the lunch rush and my order was taken quickly by a very nice gentleman. I liked that he verbally told me all the options I could have added to my blackened chicken salad. For a very small upcharge, I added a side of guacamole and a salsa along with my avocado ranch dressing. I mixed in a few shots of different hot sauces and I was in heaven. The other two girls who were back and forth behind the counter were quick to take orders, and when they were not ringing in orders, they were on the floor asking for drink refills or bussing tables. Everyone was very polite and seemed to like where they worked. They made me want to clear my own tray but I was told that it was best to just leave it behind and they would do it for me. Today I went to the Lauderhill location for curbside pickup lunch. Overall, I'm just ok with the experience. I ordered my food via the app and it was very easy. They even sent me notifications that the order was received and the order is ready. I could also text them with my name and order number when I'm parked at the designation curbside pick up parking spot. Everything was going great. Total transparency with the process. Until I parked.... I texted them per instructions and waited... and waited. I saw employees inside doing other things but no one acknowledged me. Mind you. I was parked directly in front of the establishment. I ended up calling the place to talk to someone and tell her I was outside and am waiting. The employee was really nice and promptly brought my food out. Not sure what happened. If no one was monitoring the system that notifies employees I was here, or no one looked up to see a car pull up. Something was missed in execution. Anyhow, as far as the food goes, I was pleasantly impressed. I ordered the steak queso crunch burrito and that burrito was a BEAST! So huge. I only ate half of mine. It came with nacho chips too which were very yummy and plentiful as well as a side of queso for the chips. I requested salsa too at no charge. I think I would have liked it more if I ate my meal at the restaurant though Bc the crunch inside the burrito wasn't "as" crunchy by the time I got it home to eat. But it was still very yum. Just a mental note to try it again when I finally dine in next time. I'm looking forward to trying other items on their menu next time. Wowww! I was blown away by the new Queso Crunch burrito. My meal came with a giant bag of chips, salsa, and the burrito. It was more food than I could even finish and the price was amazing. I ended up sharing half the burrito with my mom and we were both extremely full by the end. My burrito had the perfect amount of crunch, queso, rice, and perfectly cooked chicken. The customer service was amazing and everyone was kind. The restaurant was clean and social distancing and masks were enforced. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and am so honored to have been able to try it first through Yelp! Thank you Yelp for giving us this opportunity. I have to give it up to Tijuana Flats tonight because they definitely came through in a clutch. I was in a hurry running errands and had to call in my food order while driving. Of course I had the call on hands free Bluetooth but I was hesitant because I couldn't pay over the phone and operate machinery at the same time. The young lady who took my order was very kind, efficient, and I didn't have to pay until pick up. I was promised a 10-15 minute wait but I have them about 10 minutes more just in case. My food was definitely ready at the promised time so everything worked out perfectly with my tight schedule. I ordered the bangin chicken burrito, blackened taco salad, and atom bombs. My salad was very fresh and I was happy that the taco shell for the salad was crunchy. In the past I've gotten salads that had a taco shell that was unfortunately stale. The atom bombs are a newer addition to the menu and perfect with every entree. The sweetness of the cream cheese, spice of the jalapeño, and crunch of the wrap is the perfect combination. I've ordered WAY too many times from the Lauderhill location, and more often than not, something is missing! I was once taken care of by both the area supervisor, Dave, and the general manager, Ryan, (which was appreciated) but I believe I've officially placed my last order here. Why give the option to choose a hot sauce if you're going to forget it EVERY SINGLE TIME?! I've ordered juice for my toddler's kids meal and driven home to find out it's been forgotten. This is a great fast, casual place to eat. I went there for the first time on Friday evening. For $7, I got a vegetarian burrito bowl with a side of tortilla chips. It was a large portion, and quite tasty. I was able to pick what I wanted to put inside it. The service people were really friendly and helpful. A few of my colleagues come here a lot and they really enjoy the place and recommended it. The only drawback, was there are no booths, at least in this location. I always find booths more cozy. After several years of absence of returned ton the restaurant. I ordered a Bowl with Chicken and a ice tea. The service was fine. I got my food within 15 minutes and I received what I ordered. The picture of dish showed the food being served in an actual bowl; yet, I got the dish on a paper plate. The picture looked more appealing then what I received at the table. When we moved down to Florida, my husband and I were really excited to dine at Tijuana Flats. It's a laid back and quirky place with all the different types of hot sauces you could choose from. The first one I've been to was in Boca Raton. Now that I live around here, this would be the one I frequent. All the locations have the same decorations, it's very vibrant and funky. The food is always fresh and I always choose the power lite option which gives you healthier choices such as low fat sour cream and cheese. I always order the power lite bangin' chicken burrito on wheat wrap. So good! I love spicy so I always get a variety of hot sauces. They also have beer. The staff were friendly, they would come by our table to ask how we're doing. For the most part, we would order takeout. It's not authentic Mexican, but it's still pretty good. read more

Before they use to accommodate anything within their means, as long as it wasn't insane. I placed my order on Uber eats but it excluded a few options you get in store, so I gave them a call. So I didn't get anything for free, I ordered a salsa on the app. I'm my call I requested they change that to avocado ranch instead. (I use this for my burrito as a dipping sauce). This was met with, "ok sure, I guess..". They forgot this and not only charged me for a salsa but didn't even give me it. I said thanks, then I asked them to change my banging burrito sauce from their banging sauce, to Jason's mom (a sweet sauce they have). The person on the phone got a manager who said, "I'm sorry I can't accommodate that". My issue with this is if I go in, they do it. But because I'm not face to face they seem to care less for customer service and treat you like a second class customer. Instead they put it on the side. Here's the thing, all that I needed to change the sauce on the back end is to go to the back and grab a clean pan. From that point the process is the same as a normal banging chicken. Put chicken in clean pan instead, and toss in sauce, pour contents of pan on burrito. They use 2 oz of sauce to do this. Pouring it on the chicken right after it gets out of the fryer, changes the flavor and makes it taste great. Using it as a side you don't get this affect. Rather than take a moment to grab a clean pan, and use only 2oz of sauces, they gave me 3 2 oz cups, wasting more money than if they had just taken a moment. This is way to much for the burrito so 2/3 go in the trash. The only thing that came correct was the quesadilla, but without the avocado ranch I'm not sure I can even say that. Needless to say, lunch was disappointing. I'll stick with chipotle bowls instead and make my burritos at home. read more

I order takeout from this location at least twice a week. I moved to the Midwest for 3 years and then came back and this was the first place I went because I had missed it alot. I did notice their taco shells are not as big as they used to be. However, the taste and ingredients are still amazing. Jason's Mom's sauce is something I could eat on EVERYTHING. Not the old Tijuana Flats I remember. The menu has changed and small details have been eliminated. We used to order a chicken chimichanga wet with queso. The size options no longer are available, no lettuce/ tomatoes etc. served on the chimichanga. We had to send it back because the kitchen forgot the queso on both chimichangas. Very little meat in the chimis. The vibe isn't lively and fun anymore. This place used to be packed at lunchtime...Not sure what happened, but the restaurant being empty at lunchtime explains it all. read more
