Have not been here in a long time and decided tonight was the time to go back. The place was not busy at all which was kinda odd being a Saturday night. Was greeted when first walked in and ordering was easy, although she almost ruined my night when she did not know about the banging chicken and said they no longer had it. She quickly found it and all was good They have changed the toppings in the tacos and I think it made it better. They have added onions and sliced peppers and tomatoes and a ranch sauce. They were so good. Always add a small side of queso for extra dipping and a few bees sauce. Overall it was a good experience tonight and I'll not wait as long till my next visit. Tara was super friendly and even educated me on the Poblano Pepper and Onions with a splash of the garlic lime sauce as an addition to the Chimichanga... Celebrated a coworkers birthday and catered Tijuana Flats to-go. Order was supposed to be ready for pick up by 12:30pm, but ended up waiting until 1:05pm for the order to be completed. But I recently received a text that my loyalty points were getting near expiration so I decided to place an order for dinner and wanting to use the point I had earned. I was going to get an appetizer. BUT when trying to place the order I couldn't use my loyalty point with any combination of order I tried to put together. So I ordered nothing and after making it so hard to use my LOYALTY POINT (loyalty being the primary word) I have decided to stop ordering from here ever again. We dined in for taco Tuesday deal. Not gonna lie this is probably the freshest Tijuana I have ever had The street corn fries were fantastic. I love street corn , so if that's your thing I'd give it a try. It's not a huge portion but just enough that we shared. Churro fries with the chocolate dip sauce were cool . they had a deal on them for $3 and added them on. I'd get them again but maybe wait til you're done eating to order as ours got cold while we ate , but still enjoyed it. read more

I placed my order while sitting in the parking lot with my baby in the car. After waiting 15 minutes, I went inside to pick it up, only to find that no one was working the takeout counter. I waited another 15 minutes before realizing my food had been sitting on the shelves the whole time. When I got back to the car, I saw they didn't include the bowl I ordered. I went back in and asked for a manager and a refund. The manager came out, gave me a half-hearted apology, and offered to remake the correct order. After waiting a few more minutes, I thought about the whole experience and decided I'd rather just get my money back. The manager rolled her eyes, tossed the food she had just remade in the trash, and gave me a refund. I ended up going to Chipotle instead, where the service was quick and organized--everything this location wasn't. Here's a little advice from a hospitality major with experience in food and beverage: Hire career-driven, experienced managers--not just someone young to fill a role. And teach them the importance of taking ownership when mistakes are made. If you're going to throw the food away anyway, compensate the guest. Add value to the apology. Love Tijuana Flats! Today we went to this location that we haven't been to in awhile. Their hot sauce bar was very enticing (super cool mural and setup) and I am a fan of their new little to go sauce containers with a flip top. So cute! My go to is always a salad and it never lets me down. Gotta get it with avocado ranch dressing! Service was fast and the workers there checking on us were super helpful. Their queso is the BEST. Dude! This place rocks! I was able to order a vegan taco by ordering a hard shell, black bean no cheese, no sour cream. It came with a pile of chips and I added a small salsa cup. All this food plus a white claw was only $10 what! It's an awesome deal and oh so tasty!!! I'll be living here from now on. This Tijuana flats is in a prime location right next to the Planet Fitness on Lake Mary Blvd. On the weekends, it is usually a decision between Tijuana flats, Chipotle, or Moe's for the after workout lunch. This restaurant has never let me down so far. And today was no different. I got the chicken burrito with black beans and all the additional vegetables they can fit in there with a side of guacamole ($10.71). As usual the burrito was spot-on! The only thing that I would recommend is that they keep their chips warm. Even though the chips are fresh, there is nothing better than a perfectly seasoned batch of warm chips. The restaurant was clean and all the staff were super friendly. I love the decorative interior and photographs. It makes the ambiance quite entertaining. I will be back for some more Mexican goodness in the near future. read more

We went to the Lake Mary location tonight. We waited 50 minutes for our food to arrive asking 3 times, only to be assured it was coming. "It was next" When our food arrived the order was wrong. The burrito bowl contained lettuce and chicken. That's it. It's absolutely absurd. I've been a regular since attending UCF with the founders. Tonight coupled with 2 previous bad experiences in the last two months have me understanding why TF is in bankruptcy. You've destroyed a brand. read more

I'm a big fan of Tijuana Flats, specifically of both their beef flautas and their cookie dough flautas. I think the customer service at this location is pretty good. The girl who took my order the other day was really nice and I got my food pretty quickly especially considering I went right in the middle of a busy lunch rush. Also a bonus of Tijuana Flats is that they have a nice large variety of hot sauces to try at their hot sauce bar which is great if you're into that. There have been a couple I was a big fan of but they don't seem to have them anymore. I think this is a nice place to grab a quick and fresh Tex mex style meal. read more

I don't think I've ever given a one star review but our takeout order just wasn't good at all. We ordered chicken fajita tacos on a Tuesday -- this was possibly our mistake as they weren't included in the taco Tuesday offer and I assume not many people were ordering them as a result. We live about 10 minutes from the restaurant. When we got home the tacos were cold -- not lukewarm but cold. The tacos also seemed short on filling. Even the chips seemed stale. The service was fine but the food simply missed the mark. At $25 for three portions (no drinks) it also seemed expensive for what it was. read more

Had an issue with the customer service. Clerk said that we need to pay for the items but we ordered and got charged through DoorDash. The order they had was under my name and the DooDash rep was there to pick it up, but the clerk refused to work with us to fix the issue. Food is good, but the timeliness of the service is not great. I placed a pickup order which wasn't ready at the time I had schedule, and the staff seemed to be in no rush to get it to me. The restaurant had 2 other clients also without food, and waiting. Meanwhile, I could see the staff goofing off and snacking in the kitchen area. The manager checked in on me and the other clients and reminded her staff of the orders and the cleanliness of the restaurant but the staff clearly has no interest in providing good service. Tijuana Flats is a pretty solid concept. Inexpensive and consistent food. The food is not exceptional or super creative but is a good value for the money. The inside is funky, with creative/witty marketing and lots of pictures on the walls. Tijuana Flats is a chain and I would say it is very consistent. I used to only get the tacos but then branched out. I found the nachos and chimichanga to be my favs. When ordering the chimichanga, make it wet by adding the queso. It's the icing on the cake and is totally worth the extra dollar. The chain started in Winter Park and has become successful with locations in multiple states. Pretty cool to visit a chain with local roots. read more

I told them that I hadn't been in a while so I had no idea about the menu and what to order. I went for an upgrade over the basic burrito. I suggested that I could unwrap the burrito and add some hot sauce. She told me they could add chipotle sauce. She never mentioned it was going to be an up charge of over $2. If I wanted a wet burrito I would have asked for it. They poured it over it. The crappy knives made it impossible to cut. I wanted to be able to pick it up to eat. The burrito ended up being terrible with little ingredients and mainly only chicken. This was definitely an over priced bite to eat considering 2 drinks with 2 burritos cost well over $30 read more

Most disappointing order ever from a Tijuana Flats. My chimichanga was small as heck and barely had any meat in it. Little cheese and 90% tortilla (more like a flour dough) and nothing. The chips that came with it, most of them soggy and barely crispy. My wife got a megajuna chimichanga and even that barely had anything in it. Never had a problem with this place before until now. I placed an order on the phone Monday the 21st and while doing so, I asked the guy if kids eat free, he told me yes so I proceeded to order. I ordered a veg burrito he asked if I wanted queso I said yes, he asked inside the buritto I said yes. Then I ordered a chimichanga for myself with steak with lettuce and tomato with sour cream. and a soft taco for my daughter. WELL.. I get home and find out that I ended up getting charged for my daughter's meal, my son's burrito was burned and my chimichanga was so underdone it looked like a burrito that was soggy with oil and the steak was overdone. I called and talked to Courney she said I could order again on the house. She was really nice and friendly and she apologized for the mess updated I did go back two days later. There was a diffetent manager there. I didn't get his name though .WELL!!! AGAIN!!! I get home, my chimichanga was so underdone it looked like a soggy oily burrito my tomato was missing oh and the survey taco i ordered said lettuce and jalapenos on the tag and the taco came out with lettuce and tomato. I took it back the same day like 20 minutes later and they bring out a chimi that looked the same way!!!! He was not appologetic. As a matter of fact he told me that I need to check it before I leave to help keep food cost down. WTF! Come the hell on do the not know how to cook a freakin chimichanga!!?? I love that their sauces are hot and flavorful and there is always a good variety to choose from no matter which location you visit. Service is always friendly. It is often busy. If you are looking for fast food, try ordering your food online ahead of time. You may still find yourself waiting for your food when you are ready to pick it up. It is worth more than sitting in a drive thru for something mediocre. read more

First time at this location, I ordered a salad with chicken and toppings like onions and black olives, I also got a drink. Lines were kind of long for two people taking orders but then I got my food quick.The salad I ordered was delicious and was really good with ranch dressing. Good service and clean places with good music and nice atmosphere to eat. The only thing I do not like is that it is a bit over priced. Lots to choose from in thr the menu, so look slowly.
