After moving away many years ago I often get a craving for Tijuana Flats. Ordered takeout from this location and our order was on time, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. This visit we ordered the taco special and flautas. The only unfortunate part - the flautas no longer come with veggies on the side which is a bit of a disappointment considering the meal is mostly fried. Otherwise, the taco had a huge portion and the chips were great as usual. Yum! read more

Pleasantly suprised by our first visit here! We got a chip/dip trio (had queso, guac, and salsa) to start, and all three we're really yummy. If ya sign up for the app, you get this for free to start! Cool way to get us in the door! In addition to the salsa with the chip trio, they have a sauce/salsa bar which hads numerous different flavors to try. Little teeny tiny cups to sample/spice up your entrees. So many I couldn't count them all. Needed an abacus but didn't bring it with us. Dang. For main course we got the three taco combo and they were SO filling. My fiancee and I split this entree as we already had the app, and we were STUFFED on the way out the door. How a human can ingest the entire amount by themselves and walk away we'll never know. We left fat and happy....mucho bueno!! We'll be back!! read more

This was our 1st taste of Tijuana Flats and we are so HAPPY that we stopped in! This was a great surprise on a long day of shopping! We ordered the 2 taco deal and we got the free chip trio app for signing up on the QR code that is displayed on the table. I had the chicken taco in a soft shell. (1 is more than enough for 1 person...I was overly full when we left) The chicken was finely shaved (which I prefer) with pico, cheese, and lettuce. You have AMPLE choices of sauce (as seen in my pics)!! The chip tri app came with cheese, salsa, and green sauce. Very tasty and fresh! Service was kind and helpful...counter attendant answered all of our questions and even suggested things to save us money! The waitress was on top of it with checking to see if we needed anything else! (and it was busy) My 1st impression was it was a little unkept (se we ate outside). It could have been that they were very busy and families with young children were there. The deco was very luminescent with black lighting in halls to show the colorful airbrush talent. Is it just me, or has Tijuana Flats increased its prices? Wife and I had 2 tacos each, and 2 drinks. Our total: $24.14. Wife had a Mexican Coke, which was an upcharge. Our food came out in a reasonable time. The person who brought it may have been the Manager. Everyone was very cordial. As it always does, an employee came out to make sure we had everything we needed. Must be corporate policy. The beef taste seems to be different than I remember. But it was good. Wife enjoyed her chicken soft tacos. We will return. read more

today I went to Tijuana flats for lunch since it's taco Tuesday I ordered two steak tacos everything on them with a sweet tea and ordered churro bites. My tacos were very poorly made it looked like they Took what ever was left in the sour cream (out) and put it on the tacos there was like three little spots on each taco very little lettuce mostly tomato maybe they're running low on toppings and they didn't have time to fill them, I'm not really sure but I was very disappointed I will give them another try and hope my next time around is better than this experience Update today is 5/19 I figured it's a slower day maybe things will be made better I even let girl know that last time toppings where not on there and she said she would let kitchen know, we'll just opened my box and this is my order. I like the Tijuana Flats chain, and this is a new location close to home for me! TF is a chain of Mexican Restaurants. You order at a counter and pay, and then they bring the food to your table. They also refill drinks for you. There is a self-service hot sauce bar with lots of choices of varying "hotness." I always get the tacos, which are very tasty. Make it a meal and you get beans (black or refried), rice and a drink --- not bad. The queso and chips are also very good. If you like this kind of food -- you'll like TF. This particular location is kind of small compared to others, but is otherwise pretty much like every other one. read more

TLDR: Great option for catering events! I ordered catering from this Tijuana flats for my sister's birthday fiesta & it worked out beautifully. I ordered the taco bar option for 16 people for around $180 total! When we arrived to pick up the order it was given to us in an insulated bag and the very helpful employee explained to my husband how to set up the sternos provided with our order. They also included serving ware, plastic silverware, plates & a bottle of hot sauce!! A huge bang for our buck while also being delicious! I wish I would have had time to snap a picture but it was a busy night! Our order included chicken & beef. Both hard & soft taco shells, guacamole, sour cream, salsa, queso, shredded cheese, chopped onions & tomatoes!! Plenty for our guests to enjoy and personalize their meals! We went to your restaurant on Tampa Road yesterday. We ordered the taco Tuesday special which came with a drink. The guy taking our order put in for only one lunch and charged us for the second drink. When I caught the error he said return the drink and he dumped it out and then didn't return my money till I the said you owe me 3.00 sir. The food was not the same quality and I wasn't at all happy with the way he handled his mistake. He could have said keep the drink and sorry I didn't get your order correct. This location has been going downhill for years. They consistently mess up takeout orders and recently, I ordered a large queso and it tasted so off, we couldn't even eat it. It tasted so burnt and old and had a light pale yellow color that is not consistent with Tijuanas normal yellow queso color. I normally only order Tijuana for their queso and recently, it is the worst queso I have ever tasted. Not sure who is making it or if they are not cleaning their equipment but it is definitely off. Staff doesn't care about fulfilling or getting takeout orders right or on time (have consistently not included items in my orders and once had to wait 45 minutes for takeout order that quoted 15 minute timeframe). It's a shame because I typically love Tijuana but this location is doing its best to make it terrible :/ read more

I was so anxious to try this casual fast food I ordered a burrito and the trio of salsa, guacamole & queso with chips. Everything except the quac was sooo salty, extreme salty. I took the food back thinking it was a mistake but management said that they do always make their food that salty. I went all afternoon without eating. This is a dumb move, so finally after my trip to Kohl's was done, I stopped in at Tijuana Flats fo fill my neglected tummy. This is a new store, the windows really provide for a very bright, airy feeling to what are usually dark venues. The bright "comic book" style art on the walls always makes me smile. This store's, in particular was crisp and fresh, even the ceiling, which was not yet tiled in painted tiles, had ones that were neatly done. The Manager, himself waited on me, he was polite and funny and made sure i got just what I wanted, including the Diet coke, topped with cherry coke for sweetness. *grin* He came out to check on me a few times to make sure that everything was ok, and that I really enjoyed things. And I did. His competency was excellent. He was really personable and told me about how the training of the stores were done, how quickly the stores are growing and how they manage to keep quality even across the board. read more

We have come here several times in the past with no issues. Staff have been friendly and know what they are doing. This time we placed 2 orders for steak flautas in the restaurant for carry out. The person at the register seemed pretty new, we had to tell her it was for carry out 3 times. We waited, they gave us the food and we left. We get home and no freaking chips. I paid $9 something for each order and they can't bother to remember chips come with every entree. Tried calling and was on hold forever until it hung up on me. Not cool. We live 20 min away and now we have to waste our gas so they can maybe make it right. read more

This restaurant has the worst service of any restaurant that I've ever been to. We've been several times and they are always slow but whatever it happens sometimes. However, knowing they are slow we placed an online order so we didn't have to wait so long. Well, think again! We waited 30 minutes for our online order. Meanwhile several people walked in, got their food and almost finished while we were still waiting. We spoke to a manager and 2 other employees who asked our name and then never came back. The staff, manager included didn't seem to care that they had an unhappy customer. When we did finally get our food we didn't even get an "I'm sorry for that wait." We will never give this location our business. It's obvious the horrible staff is a reflection of horrible management. read more

I usually go to the TF on Tampa road but since this one opened up I've tried here a few times for the convenience. What a mistake. The interior is like most locations except a little smaller than most. The staff is very friendly and charming. The food on the other hand... Stingy on the meat fillings. I usually get flautas and I'll usually take a bite or two and there no filling left but a hefty excess of fried tortilla left. Disappointing. Way too much oil as well. I can still the the oil shine on the surfaced. Don't even get me started when I use my hands. I feel like I need to use a napkin to squeeze or absorb the oil out of the food. I finally tried this restaurant after driving by it often since I moved to the area. I've been to Tijuana and I have to say I like this places food better. Good food at a decent price and it has more than 10 of hot sauce options. The girl that served us was very helpful and cute. While we waited for our food I saw her being very attentive to the customers in the restaurant. She came around several times asking if they had every thing they needed. I'm defiantly going to be coming back here to check out their many different menu items. read more

Stopped in for a late dinner at this location a few nights ago. Wasn't too packed around 7/7:30, but still had a decent number of tables filled. There also seemed to be a lot of to-go orders with people waiting around to pick them up. We decided to eat in & I got a chimichanga with refried beans while my boyfriend got two chicken burritos. We both got a side of chips & he got a side of queso, which I ate most of, oops! The servers here also checked in regularly to see if they could get us refills and would hold open the doors for people coming/going too, so it was nice to see them go above and beyond. Only downside was the styrofoam plate my chimichanga came on; it partially broke in the waitress's hand as she tried to place it in front of me, and then didn't hold up as I tried to cut through my chimichanga with the plastic cutlery. My boyfriend's burrito was served on a metal tray covered in paper, & I feel like that would've been better for a meal like mine rather than a handheld meal like his. read more

Ordered from here a month ago, called the order in for curbside gave details about the car and everything. When I arrived no one came for 15 minutes. When she finally came and asked my name she came back with a receipt only. And then felt the need to tell me "for future reference we would prefer you to order online to save back and forth especially on a busy night". They had three tables who were eating and myself and one other car at curbside. None of the employees wear name tags so she was a taller woman with pink hair. Also got only about 60% of the order right. Placed an order online today and once I arrived at the time of pick up still waited 30 minutes. No one in the restaurant had been given their food either. One worker, shorter girl blonde hair, glasses with tattoos on her thighs, after a women didn't hear her name called the first time. Gave her her food and as she walked away and passed me said "maybe next time f***in answer when we say your name. No one at this place is happy working and rude to customers. Only one truly putting in effort was the manager. She was running food, apologizing left and right. My opinion is clean house.
