    Refried Beans Flautas
    Lauren D.

After moving away many years ago I often get a craving for Tijuana Flats. Ordered takeout from this location and our order was on time, the staff was friendly, and the food was good. This visit we ordered the taco special and flautas. The only unfortunate part - the flautas no longer come with veggies on the side which is a bit of a disappointment considering the meal is mostly fried. Otherwise, the taco had a huge portion and the chips were great as usual. Yum!

Food was delicious as always, staff was kind to us and our puppy, clean and friendly environment. Forgot to take a photo before we dug in.

This was our 1st taste of Tijuana Flats and we are so HAPPY that we stopped in! This was a great surprise on a long day of shopping! We ordered the 2 taco deal and we got the free chip trio app for signing up on the QR code that is displayed on the table. I had the chicken taco in a soft shell. (1 is more than enough for 1 person...I was overly full when we left) The chicken was finely shaved (which I prefer) with pico, cheese, and lettuce. You have AMPLE choices of sauce (as seen in my pics)!! The chip tri app came with cheese, salsa, and green sauce. Very tasty and fresh! Service was kind and helpful...counter attendant answered all of our questions and even suggested things to save us money! The waitress was on top of it with checking to see if we needed anything else! (and it was busy) My 1st impression was it was a little unkept (se we ate outside). It could have been that they were very busy and families with young children were there. The deco was very luminescent with black lighting in halls to show the colorful airbrush talent. The bathroom walls told me the Saucy is Sexy! lol They must know me :) See you soon!

Food came out good but I ordered a large queso and never even received it , I ordered takeout and got home and when I opened my food there was no queso.

This should be a megajuana beef & refried bean chimichanga, w/ everything....

Ok our food was actually great last night. We had 3 large orders & it was all good. Until I was eating queso & got a plastic piece of trash in my queso!!

today I went to Tijuana flats for lunch since it's taco Tuesday I ordered two steak tacos everything on them with a sweet tea and ordered churro bites. My tacos were very poorly made it looked like they Took what ever was left in the sour cream (out) and put it on the tacos there was like three little spots on each taco very little lettuce mostly tomato maybe they're running low on toppings and they didn't have time to fill them, I'm not really sure but I was very disappointed I will give them another try and hope my next time around is better than this experience Update today is 5/19 I figured it's a slower day maybe things will be made better I even let girl know that last time toppings where not on there and she said she would let kitchen know, we'll just opened my box and this is my order. Not sure what part she heard!

It did take a bit longer than expected to place my order, but once I did, the food made up for it. I started with chips and fresh guacamole, which were excellent and full of flavor, paired perfectly with a cold Corona on draft. For my entree , I ordered the Roja & Verde street style enchiladas with machaca chicken. One enchilada was topped with New Mexico Hatch green chile and the other with black Chimayo red chile sauce. Both sauces were flavorful and distinct, and the dish was served with Mexican rice, borracho beans, guacamole, Mexican crema, and pico de gallo, making for a well rounded and satisfying plate. One thing to note is that parking can be a bit of a challenge. Street parking is metered, and hotel parking runs $20 or more. Overall, a great beachside cantina with tasty food and a welcoming vibe. With a bit quicker service and easier parking, it would be an even better experience.

Casa Tina: I Came for Tacos, Left Questioning My Life Choices (in a good way)…read more Let me just say this--Casa Tina is not a restaurant... it's a spiritual journey with chips and salsa as your guide. We sat down and within seconds, chips and salsa hit the table like they were on a mission. Not just any salsa--this stuff tasted like someone's abuela personally supervised the tomatoes. I blacked out for a bit and came to... basket empty. Respect. We ordered like we had zero self-control: Queso Fundido - melted cheese with chorizo?? I would like to formally apologize to my arteries. Worth it. Casa Ceviche - fresh, bright, and made me feel like I suddenly understood the ocean Yucca Fries - crispy, golden, and honestly... why are regular fries even trying anymore? Then the mains came out and everything got serious. I had enchiladas (don't ask which ones, I was emotionally overwhelmed), and they were covered in a sauce so good I considered asking for a side of it to take home and bathe in. Someone else got the Mole Poblano, and I'm pretty sure I watched them have a full spiritual awakening mid-bite. Like... eyes closed, head tilted, rethinking life decisions. Another hero at the table ordered Tacos de Birria, dipped them in consommé like a seasoned professional, and I immediately knew I've been eating tacos wrong my entire life. Also--whoever invented the option to mix and match everything on this menu clearly woke up and chose chaos (the best kind). You want beef, chicken, jackfruit, shrimp, AND portobello? Go off. Live your truth. The vibe? Colorful, chill, and feels like a place where you accidentally stay for 3 hours because you ordered "just one more thing" 7 times. Service? Incredible. The staff somehow knew exactly when we needed more chips, more drinks, and more emotional support. Dessert? Yeah... we didn't need it. We got it anyway. Fried Ice Cream - illegal levels of delicious Churros - I would fight someone over these and I'm not proud of it AI Review Summary (but honest): Food: Ridiculously good, borderline life-changing Portions: Generous enough to ruin your plans for the rest of the day Service: Psychic-level awareness Atmosphere: Fun, vibrant, zero rush Overall: You don't just eat here--you commit Final Verdict: Casa Tina didn't just feed me... it humbled me. I came in thinking I was hungry. I left knowing I was unprepared.

Our foursome arrived and waited a few minutes and grabbed the only open table. The place is wonderful and nicely decorated. Even the tables have Mexican art on theme. It was crowded with most Mexican families, which was a great sign. We were brought drinks and looked over the menu. Tortilla chips were brought and Salsa. I asked for Hot Salsa and it had a nice heat to it. I ordered Queso Blanco for the chips. I had read some negative reviews of the Queso but it was great. Took a bit, they were full of patrons, so we needed a refill of chips in the meantime. While waiting I took some pictures of the dining rooms, a lot of interesting items around. Our oldest daughter ordered a pound the Bistec Steak, with some flour tortillas. Our youngest daughter ordered the Steak Fajitas. My wife got her usual Burrito. I prefer the Chilis Relleno that are breaded and fried, most just cover with sauce, and theirs were breaded so my choice. Our meals came after a bit. The Fajitas were very good and came with a large jalapeno that was nicely fiery. The Burrito was good, just wish I could convince her to try other things. My Chilis Relleno were very good, but too much sauce over theme took away the crispness of the fried batter. Tasted good though. The pound of Bistec Steak was the big hit. It was delicious, we all tried a bite. Next time I think we will get a couple pounds for the table, which should feed four people easily - as long as my 16 year old grandson in not along. Great food, good service, amazing atmosphere. Recommended.

We had tacos, enchiladas, and burritos with various fillings. The rice and beans were bland and not presented well. I think some lettuce and sour cream could be added. My fruit margarita was nothing to write home about, and since we chose Mexican for that, it was a disappointment. The flight, however, proved oddly, entertaining. It comes in a hollowed out wooded airplane and is carried out with great presentation by the entire staff, all of whom are costumed up. Music rocks the house and guests are treated to some exotic dancing as each server performs. Many have great moves! But I was left to wonder how they felt about that part of the job. My friend said there was liquor in her flight drinks. We had dessert, and like the rest of the food, it was decent but nothing outstanding. Service was attentive. The place is airy and bright. There is a bar and seating there. A 3.5.
