The manager has figured out the secret of hiring smiling faces & hiring people with passion & zeal. The many employees without exception stood out for their great attitudes & work ethic. They were friendly, outgoing, very helpful, & always serving. They came around often offering drink refills, holding doors open, & being really nice. I was so impressed. Meanwhile the tacos I received were just average. Nothing special about them. They have a hot sauce bar which was fun to experiment with. Meh it was okay. The girl behind the counter was not helpful. I asked what was in the burrito because I had never been there she points to a sign on the register & said "this". Inside my head "okay sunshine" it read olives, jalapeños, lettuce, tom, beans & onion. Asked for a veggie burrito no beans & extra lettuce. She rudely asked what sized I said I'm not sure a normal size? Never had a size option on a burrito so I was thrown off. I called in an order for pickup on a Friday evening and was extremely dissatisfied with the service at the Countryside location. When I placed the order on the phone I was told it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. I arrived at Tijuana Flats about 10 minutes later and told it wasn't ready yet. I waited a total of 45 minutes for my order. When I looked in the bags, there were no utensils or napkins, and part of the order was incorrect as the sour cream and guacamole were missing. It was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed with orders and customers during this time, but there needs to be a better system in place so mistakes like this won't happen again. read more

Tijuana flats is tried to rip me up again. I was there on Tuesday the 4th, used my debit card and it double charged me. I bought it to their attention right away and they act like they did not give a damn. If you ever go into this place always use cash. If the food is less than you expected report them to the local health department. Yes I am pissed that I have to dispute this and it ties up my bank account. This place is fantastic. My wife and I were in Florida last week visiting her grandma and going to the beach. And we decided to have a little bit of Mexican foods or we all went to Tijuana Flats. It is like a fast food establishment almost because you go through have a drive-thru and you can go up to the counter and order but they bring it to you certain not really a waiter or waitress but I do bring you your food and they will occasionally fill up your drinks if they see it but a lot of the times you walk up to the cash register and ask them for another refill which can get a little annoying but that's okay. Because the food absolutely makes up for it. I got a giant burrito and it had rice and beans and cheese and sour cream and all that good fattening stuff in it. It comes with a little thing of chips on the side scoop up the stuff that falls out which is a plus. My daughter got two tacos she ate one took one home I ate it later that night and my wife got these little fried chimichanga things which were fantastic as well I think overall for the four of us to eat and drinks it was around $32 which is not that bad really at all. I wish we had one in Louisville because I would love to go to it. I would highly recommend and we will be back the next time we are in Florida. read more

Conviniently located across the street from countryside mall, Tijuanas is an awesome place to chill, eat and drink when at countryside. First, their food is pretty fresh. It doesn't have a generic pre-prepped taste. I am a huge fan of their chicken tacos, their chicken or steak chimichangas! The verde sauce is stellar! Second,I absolutely love their hot bar. They keep the salsas exciting by changing them up ever couple of months. It's fun trying them while you wait for your food! Dare your friends to try the x_x faced ones. Lol. Cons: I hate to admit that Tijuanas has had some pretty off days. I frequent here about 2 or 3 times a month on weekends or taco tuesdays. I will excuse them though because this place is often packed whenever my service is ho hum. Considering how popular this spot is, the food remained pretty consistent. Overall, If your first experience at Tijuanas is not the best, please don't write it off. This is really a cool spot to eat at as an alternative to chipotle or the lame mall food. Bland tasteless guacamole, salsa tastes likes it out of a jar from Walmart, and the Queso is so-so, even our fountain drinks weren't on the right soda-mixture-weak! Ordered dinner and selected curbside order - also put in car details so they would know, waited for about 5 mins and no one came out. As I pulled into my spot the person in the car beside me got out, went in and selected her order and left (you can tell it was curbside too). So I call inside and ask how I let them know I'm here. There is no notification. When they came out and brought my order she went on to say I didn't select curbside. I didn't argue, just happy to get my food. And then only about 75% of my order was accurate. I will not go to this location again. More than once I have had issues. read more

Normally I wouldn't review a consistent chain restaurant, but my trip earlier this week was great because of my "cashier" Sarah. TF was very busy with holiday shoppers, and i had lots of special requests for my to go order. Sarah was fast and super friendly! And she was still super nice after I had to modify some previously rung in orders. Sarah also helped me pick out some hot sauce bottles for a gift. After super stressful shopping, I was really put back into a good mood thanks to Sarah. So thanks! After I got home our food was good too. We've enjoyed each of the Tijuana Flats locations we've tried, but this one is our favorite. It is always bright and clean, and the staff is personable and very attentive to the restaurant and their customers. It's no wonder this location is normally pretty busy with returning customers like us. The menu is full of choices, but we normally enjoy the weekly "Taco Tuesady" specials and order Hard Tacos with Beef or Soft Tacos with Chicken. Fresh, flavorful and very filling. We also get The Trio, which are very tasty and warm Taco Chips served with cups of fresh Salsa, Queso and Guacamole. Always a treat! The staff adds to the pleasure by clearing your plates as uou are finished (not rushed) and keeping your drinks filled and loaded with shaved ice on a hot day. Ya gotta love this place!! read more

This has been my third time coming to this location and I am so disappointed with their portion size. Each of my orders have been to go and the portion size is significantly smaller than if you were to eat there. I have been to the Belcher location many many times for to go and this has not happened. I had a great experience at this location. I usually go to the location on Belcher, and the quality of food was just as excellent at this location as it is at the Belcher location. I have to say though, this location is SUPER tiny and they don't offer nearly as many hot sauces due to the size of the building. Also, when I went to get some of the hot sauces that I like, 3 out of 5 were empty. I think it can be chalked up to it being a brand new location and the organization is still being worked out. You've got to give every new company a bit of time to work through the beginning stages of establishment. For that reason I gave it 4 stars, if it were a larger building, and a little more organized (which I'm sure it will be soon) I'd give it 5 stars. But even with the building being small, it's still nice to have it there. read more

Great food! Good customer service in general. A few weeks ago, when it was busy, we experienced one employee who was not displaying good customer service. There were a few mistakes with our food and drinks, but they go above and beyond to correct mistakes. I received a free taco, since I was given one of the wrong tacos. I love love love Tijuana Flats. Their tacos are so good. I always get chicken ones with extra jalapeños. I also absolutely adore the cookie dough flautas! We devoured those pretty quickly. The chicken nachos are another go-to for me. And the noritto bowls. Everything is so delicious and I always have leftovers because the portion sizes are so big! Only 4 stars because the staff was SUPER annoying. The girl in charge was ordering around what seemed to be a newish staff telling her to check on the hot sauce table. So she did. When she went back behind the counter the staff then told her she needs to 'fill them, all of them, not just look at them.' Wow, what a NOT great person to work with. I don't care if you are a manager or have only been there longer than another employee, you don't treat them like a garbage. She did handle it well but I am sure she felt like she couldn't say anything to her. Then, this person who seemed to think she was the manager, was sweeping. She saw a customer coming toward the door and literally dropped the broom in the middle of the floor and RAN through the restaurant to the door. What!? You leave a broom in the middle of the floor for me too trip over so that you can throw open a door in a customers face?! You then go on to loudly tell other staff what to do. All of that should be 'behind the scenes' and not for customers to hear. Your ungraceful demeanor ruined our meals here. I had the chimi which was ok. Ordered it wet and there was not enough queso on top to even cover it. When you pay $1 for 'wet' it needs to be wet and not semi wet. Ugh! The chips and salsa are free with a meal. Chips were good, salsa was not. I love mexican food. At this point I don't expect exceptional service in places like this but when I see staff treating others with disrespect it is a huge turn off. The manager/owner needs to make an appearance and straighten this staff out. And while they are at it work on the salsa receipt. :( read more

I love how they will literally run to the door to open it for you when you walk in or leave. Plus they always make sure that your drinks are filled and your food was prepared well. I've eaten at this Tijuana Flats location multiple times and have always had a good experience here. The service is always excellent and the staff does a good job of keeping the restaurant clean. My favorite thing on their menu is the flautas, and the last time I ate here I had their nachos which were good as well. The nachos I ordered could have done with more flavor. They should really salt their chips more. That aside, the food here is always good quality and enjoyable. read more

Definitely a good new addition to our neck of the woods. I don't know why it took me so long to visit since this location opened a few months ago, but I'm glad we stopped in recently. The dining room was clean and well kept, and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Our food was delivered promptly. The taco salads are insanely huge (gotta love the tortilla bowl too), and my husband was happy with his carnitas burrito. I'm sure we'll be back very soon! read more
