The ladies at Tiger Tailoring were amazing. I brought in a denim romper around 9am that had a broken zipper. I was planning on wearing this to the game. I asked if there was any way i could get the zipper replaced same day so i could still wear it. They said they could do that and it'd be ready by 3pm. They called around 11:30 stating it was ready and i could come get it early. The zipper withstood walking ~5 miles and jumping around at tailgates and the game. Best part it was only $20 which is an amazing price for a last minute zipper replacement. read more

Tiger Tailoring is where I come to get any alterations done when I am in Baton Rouge. I have gotten a lot done here and I think it is slightly on the more expensive side of average. They have always done a great job when I go and I've never had to go back and get anything fixed after they did their alterations. I will add that every time I pick anything up, even if I brought it in very wrinkly, it is always nicely steamed. One time I brought in a gown with a little stain, just to get it hemmed, and I left with it hemmed perfectly and the stain gone!! read more

I've been to see Van on at least 8-10 occasions for clothing alterations and would recommend without reservation. Things I've had altered include: formal and casual dresses (long & short), skirts on varying lengths and materials, shorts (including leather x 2), at least 15 pairs of pants (denim and other fabrics), and blouses. She's also altered my children's uniform skirts. All the work has been good quality and as expected after fittings. Quick turnaround time also. I find Tiger to be pretty on par with other comparable tailors in terms of price. More intricate work costs more, no major surprises though. Also love that I can bring dry cleaning here too. 10/10 read more

I have used Tiger Tailoring maybe a dozen times in the past year. Their rates are very reasonable, they work fast and the staff is quite friendly and efficient. Usually they can have your alterations done in two days if requested, nice atmosphere as well and you can get very close to the place via the LSU bus lines. read more

Would not recommend. $81.00 for 3 coats tailored. Employee that performed services quoted price for much cheaper than lady authorizing bill. Needless to say I didn't pay the $81.00. Motive perceived was they were trying to make much money as possible regardless of services rendered. Very disappointed in service. read more

Maybe I caught Tiger Tailoring on an off day, but I did not have the same experience as the other reviewers. While they were fast, it was at the expense of quality. I took a bridesmaid dress into their shop to be altered. All that need to be done was a simple hemline, strap shortening, and a little taken in at the bust. When I picked up the dress, they didn't have me try it on again (and it was my fault for not insisting.) So the morning of the wedding, I realized that the side seam on the bust was completely bunched and puckering, which caused the dress to fit horribly around my bust. In addition, the straps were WAY too long and I had to repeatedly pull them up! This was after TWO different conversations during the fitting that the seamstress hadn't tightened the straps enough. She waved me off and assured me she would "remember" to fix them later. I'm so frustrated that I paid almost $60 for alterations that did very little to actually enhance the appearance of this dress and caused some wardrobe malfunctions on an already hectic day. Butchered my $350 gown from Endymion ball. The top overlay was longer than the bottom satin layer. Strings not cut. I had to trim the dress with kitchen shears to avoid destroying it while walking. Terrible. read more
