Tiger Sugar is a Taiwanese franchise chain, home to the original brown sugar bubble tea with fresh cream and "tiger stripe" design. This location just opened in Place Bell. It looks super modern and luxurious, dark counter tops, interactive screens and a slick design.
You can easily access it from the outside but parking can be tricky if it's crowded, as the on-street parking is very limited , otherwise I believe you can park indoors for free if you have a proof of purchase.
If you like bubble tea you'll very pleased with the selection here, there's many unique additions I haven't found everywhere, like espresso pearls, mochi, pudding or "tiger cheese" which is like a creamy mousse. There's a large screen with pictures of all the drinks so get a good idea of what to order if it's your first time.
We went on a sunday afternoon and the place was pretty empty, service was pleasant and fast - the employees took their time to explain the drinks and offered custormized service (ie, sugar/ice).
I got the chocolate oreo drink and the premium brown sugar bobba with pudding and jelly - they were extremely tasty. Only drawback is the high price - these are definitely the most expensive bubble teas I've ever ordered, for 2 drinks it came close to $22.
There's a regular or large size, but both seem to be on the small side. The cups are very narrow and you are not getting as much beverage compared ot other chains.
Great menu, great product, but because of the high price and small portion, taking away a star. Also keep in mind accessibility issues with parking when it's crowded - it'll be tough to find a spot. read more
