Our son has been studying under Master Kim and his team since the early summer. The instructors here have been committed to his growth and create an environment that not only challenges and structures, but encourages his curiosity about taekwondo. Tiger Kim is a Denver institution and for good reason - they cultivate a community, one that my son is proud to be a part of. read more

We are having a great time at Tiger Kim's. Both of our kiddos are learning here. Highly recommend!

We've been with Tiger Kim's Academy for 3 years and are very appreciative of their instruction for our two young kids. Our kids have developed a strong sense of discipline and respect through the practice of taekwondo, and I'm sure they'll carry the lessons as they grow and develop into adolescents and eventually adults. read more

Tiger Kim's Taekwondo Academy has given me the confidence and the discipline I needed to carry on in other aspects of my life. The instructors are all top notch and incredibly knowledgeable. Feels good to train at a school steeped in tradition. Wouldn't trade this experience for anything. read more

Tiger Kim's is awesome! I love that we get to learn not only Taekwondo but also Tang Soo Do, Hapkido, and other self defense techniques, focusing on both body and mind. The classes are mixed ages and mixed level, so from the start you can learn both from the expert instructors and from watching the most experienced students. I love seeing entire families learning together. Their flexible schedule also works well for someone like me, a parent with a busy work schedule and life. The instructors are amazing -- most have between a 4th and 7th degree black belt and it's obvious they really know their stuff and have a deep passion for the art. Each one has a very different personality and I appreciate the wide diversity of perspectives and teaching styles. However, they're consistent in technique & form and in wanting every student to succeed. They're tough and take it seriously, but are also caring and make it fun. I learn something from every class and am excited to keep progressing forward. It quickly starts to feel like a community. read more

Tiger Kim's is a stellar training facility. My daughter wanted to go by and just observe a class. She's 6. We got there and multiple kids of all ages gathered around her and said you should do it with us. We will help you get dressed and they did help. She had a most fabulous first class and is super excited everyday to go to the studio. She has different teachers everyday and the multi-generational classes are refreshing. The training and the discipline are exemplary. read more

This school is top-notch. I enrolled my son last fall and found the atmosphere so inviting and inspiring that I enrolled myself a few months later. The curriculum emphasizes tradition, respect, and discipline, but they treat students of all levels with kindness and help them build confidence. It's a very family-friendly, supportive environment where each person has the opportunity to grow. The instructors are super, especially Gene and Master Kim. Highly recommended! read more

They lied about a contract and scammed me out of a decent chunk of money, threatened me with lawyers.

it was my first time buying gear, and they were extremely helpful and nice. definitely would recommend

I went there to buy a graphite bostaff. The owner allowed me to test the bo staff out on the mat. I dropped the bo staff and it broke. I was willing to pay for the damage but the owner told me not to worry about it and he will try to get it replaced by the manufacturer. Thank you. If I live local I would try out this place. read more

The amazing team at Tiger Kim's Academy are the best of the best. For those who may not be aware, Tiger Kim's Academy is recognized as one of the top #10 Korean martial arts training academies in all of North American and also Pan American region. By the way, I clicked on the links of a few bean heads who made negative comments. I noticed that every one of them either own a competing karate school or go to one. read more

Tiger Kim is a liar and crook. Do not sign up with him. I was promised to be able to use gym equipment. And never allowed to use. His teachers taught me nothing. Took tiger kim to court and won. Got out of contract. read more

We signed our son up for the 2 week trial. While we wont be enrolling him permanently (it's a 25 minute drive, just too far) these guys get my vote. Great instructors who are patient but don't let your kid get away with BSing around. The rates are kinda high, but fair. The schedule is actually pretty dang good. read more

The staff and instructors are very patient and knowledgeable, the environment is comfortable, the attached martial art store has everything you can think of. Warning ... I had a Very Bad experience. Never ever sign a contract with Master Kim. He will tell you that you can cancel or put membership on hold but the reality is Master Kim won't let you out of the contract even with a Dr. note that I supplied ... he wouldn't accept it even though it's stated in the contract. My son wasn't committed to taking the classes and Master Kim told me to force him to go anyway. The classes are suppose to teach respect and discipline .... he should lead by example. I had to Buy out the contract/pay him off. We could have gone to court but I just wanted to move on with this BAD experience. read more

My family and I have been attending Tiger Kim's for a little over a year now. The instructors do a fantastic job of blending fun in with the practice of martial arts, there is always a black belt or two around to help as you're learning new forms, and the fact that it's Denver's only school connected to the Kukkiwon (the world Taekwondo headquarters in Korea) is pretty cool. Beyond that, there's a great vibe amongst the students ... friendship and some healthy competition. read more

Tiger Kim's provides mixed martial arts training, including taekwondo sanctioned by the WTF (World Taekwondo Federation). If you're serious about finding a school that provides the best training, discipline, technique and variety, with practice in applying the skills you've learned, this is the place. I enjoyed training here at first, but I soon found out this was a Mcdojo. I tried to get out of the contract but could not. BE WARNED Tiger Kim is just after the the money. Hopefully in January I can take up something useful like Judo or Jujitsu. read more

We ended up in court with this business. They never gave in. All in all it cost us more than $3000 for one lesson - and a contract that could not be canceled. Be cautious to sign a contract if you are not 100 percent sure. read more

We had a birthday party for our five year old twins here and it was awesome! Tiger Kim led a tae kwon do class for the kids, and he had a bounce house and lots of other things for the kids to play with too. He took care of party favors, cupcakes, pizza, and drinks, so if you want an easy, all-inclusive party for your kids for a reasonable price, this is it. Highly recommend! read more

I love Tiger Kim's Academy, our son has been going to this school since February 2017. he was signed up for the 2 week unlimited class trail and he loved it. He's is now a Yellow belt and moving up very fast. very welcoming, make you feel like family. read more

On a friend's recommendation, we recently signed our two boys (ages 7 and 4) up for taekwondo classes at Tiger Kim's - like us, she was desperate for a youth activity that would not only give her kids a physical outlet but also introduce them to a new culture that would teach them about respect and discipline. After less than two weeks, we are already seeing a difference in both of them. What's more, they love it and continually ask to go to class - something that does NOT necessarily happen with soccer or swimming or tennis or theater camp or whatever. Having no experience with martial arts myself, my biggest hesitation going in was that it would be "weird" - a hyper-serious, cult-like sport full of obsessive adults with little patience for squirrely kids. Could not have been more wrong. Tiger Kim's promotes a fun, supportive atmosphere in which everyone teaches and looks out for those less experienced. The instructors and other students are friendly and welcoming, as is the office staff. read more

Tiger Kim's is fantastic. Top-notch Masters and Instructors with a fun, positive, supportive and challenging environment. I highly recommend it. read more

Very poor customer service, you buy something there as a present, and when it is not the right item they are not willing to take the return for a refund, exchange or even a store credit, even if it is done the very next day.. Very rude and unhelpful staff so buyer beware !!!!! be sure it is the right item as you wont get any customer service there!. read more

Please do not go here! Do not sign a contract. They are a rip off company and are only in it for the money, and you don't find this out until you start class. They put undue pressure on you to sign a long-term contract, and there is no way out. Please read the other reviews. I wish I did, as now I'm stuck for a long time. Robert read more

When one thinks of martial arts, you think of Integrity, Honesty, Perseverance and humility. Unfortunately by the same token Tiger Kim's lacks all the above qualities. But you will find dishonest business practices that are used to convey that contracts are a memberships, that are available at a cheaper rate. When you inquire into specifics of of the "contract Membership clauses" reluctance pays they way to manipulation, through posturing and how much integrity is part of Tiger Kim's Academy. When they tell you you can stop your membership or tell you that they will work with you on ending your dues you are screwed. They will take your money with ease, charge $60.00 for kids to test for a belt, automatically take out money out of your account, leave you with pennies, and hold you to pay for two year deal. Even though financial situation has changed, kids are afraid and don't want to go, you will be sent to collections so Tiger Mac DOJO can collect on the principle of the dollar. read more
