Great place for my kids. They love going to class. The instructors do a great job building confidence, setting goals and keeping it fun.

I have been practicing Karate for the last 20 years. It is a great exercise and discipline, one…read morethat shapes not only body, but mind and soul too. When I moved to Denver 2 years ago, the first thing I did was to find a dojo where I could continue my training. I first visited a dojo that was very traditional. Nothing wrong with it, but I wanted somewhere were I could practice the competitive and athletic side of karate. Okinawa Dojo was the second dojo I visited. From the beginning, I was surprised with the level of the classes, as well as the knowledge and understanding of Karate by both Sensei Vitaly and Sensei Alex. Their kindness and passion for teaching inspires all of us to try hard and give our best in every training. Here, I have not only founda place to train and learn, but friends as well. I encourage everyone who wants to learn "the way of the empty hand" to come to Okinawa Dojo, I'm sure you won't be disappointed!

When we enrolled staff went over everything with us including cost, schedules, expectations, payment and answered any questions I had before we enrolled. Any questions that I have had, any of the staff has always been able to answer my questions or find someone that can. My son has learned so much, made great friends, had great mentors in his Sensei's and had a lot of fun in not only the classes, but the camps, Halloween party, competitions, etc. This karate community has been amazing for our son and family. Highly recommend!

Spirit Warrior stays true to traditional martial arts and teaches discipline through hard work and perseverance. I was new to Colorado before joining, and the atmosphere here helped me gain new friends and mentors; it's a big family. From a parents perspective, my son (Age 8) is more respectful and hard working. Before, he just wanted to play video games and sit in his room. Now he has gained the confidence to do things outside that he was once afraid of. I am complimented continuously as well on his manners while speaking to adults. From an adult students perspective, I have seen growth in my own life. It's helped me become more grateful and courteous for things in life and in my career. I'm more focused on tasks and patient with issues that arise. I highly recommend Spirit Warrior and encourage ALL to try it out.

Spirit Warrior Martial Arts Academy is exceptionally unique in this world of cookie cutter; buy…read moreyour belt, fast food style, martial arts franchises. The emphasis at Spirit Warrior is on strengthening ones mind, body and spirit. No one aspect is more important then the other. Both my kids (age 8 & 9) have grown tremendously over the course of a little more than a year since they've been students. They are expected to understand and adhere to the 5 tenets of Taekwondo (Courtesy, Integrity, Perseverance, Self-control, and Indomitable Spirit) at all times, not just inside the dojang. I'm grateful and incredibly proud to say that through Spirit Warrior Martial Arts School we have seen our kids develop a healthy sense of self worth, respect for others, increased focus, and perseverance. With that said, Spirit Warrior Martial Arts is not simply for kids, as I myself (42) have been a student for a year as well. Sabumnim Chuck Niemi teaches every class so you know you are getting the very best level of instruction and attention. You will not find your adult class or your children's class outsourced to an inexperienced instructor. Expectations are very high at Spirit Warrior and it is very clear that Sabumnim Niemi not only expects that of his students but of himself as well. Simply put, everything is earned at Spirit Warrior Martial Arts. You will not find 10 year old black belts at the school. What you will find though is a true sense of family, hard work, high expectations, courtesy, respect, support, caring, and big smiles from a true sense of accomplishment. Finally, I would highlight three general areas to look for in a true martial arts school, all of which Spirit Warrior Martial Arts Academy has, and none of the others we researched (exhaustively) had. 1.) The instruction and knowledge comes first over fees, charges, and revenue generating activities such as martial arts themed birthday parties. (You won't find those here). 2.) The training is based upon the real world, not on how cool you can look, but on whether it is effective to protect you and your loved ones. The emphasis at Spirit Warrior is to never have to fight, to always seek a peaceful way, but if that is absolutely impossible, to be able to respond in order to protect oneself and those you care for. 3.) Purposeful, quality instruction that builds upon itself. There are no shortcuts at Spirit Warrior simply to collect your next advancement fee. If nothing else...give it a try! You won't be disappointed!
