Turns out the eBay seller sold me the smaller glass so they couldn't install it BUT they repackaged my glass so it didn't even look like it had ever been opened and sent me on my way. Amazing service and kind staff and owners. I will give them any business I can and suggest them to all my friends for glass needs. Sadly because Volvo San Leandro closed and SF Volvo wouldn't answer their phone I had to go back with safelite because they had a direct connection with Volvo and I was sick of working on this.

The windshield was cracked for about one foot long without any sign of hitting. So I reached out to the technician and he said it wasn't under any warranty unless it was due to workmanship or water leaking. At first, it sounded like they were not behind their product. So I said the windshield was faulty and cracked inside the car. However, he still didn't understand my point but keeping telling me that it wasn't covered if it was impacted by something like a rock. So I felt like I needed to talk to the manager and address my concerns. In addition, I requested a different brand in case they needed to replace it. After the appointment was set, the windshield had a couple more cracks just like the one before. So without a doubt, the shop had no problem to replace it at no cost. They also apologized that was the first time they had this faulty windshield. At the end, I am still thankful to find them. I made an appointment online, gave my info, and was quoted a price. Got a 10am appt on a Saturday. I arrived early on a rainy Saturday morning. Germaine, my Tech, came to greet me and said he would get started as soon as possible. They got the windshield replacement with recalibration done in slightly over 2 hours. Great job. Why did I choose Safelite? Well, AAA recommended Safelite. But also because back in 2020, I used a small shop in Alameda that had great Yelp reviews. They took over a month to fix my windshield. They said they couldn't get the right parts. So this time, I tried a major chain for auto glass repair. It was the right choice. It's a big shop with several techs working. The waiting area is spacious, with water and coffee available. The restroom is neat and clean. Non-stop Family Feud reruns on the TV and Free WiFi. I had a great experience at this Safelite shop in North Oakland and I would use them again.
