Came here for a bite to eat after visiting VUE Cinemas just next door and I really have to say that I'm definitely impressed by Tiffins and would love to come here again in the future.
Atmosphere:
Tiffins has a beautiful classy look to the place with a full bar and makes for a really great "date night" or special occasion location. Came here during dinner time and it was buzzing with people as well which made for a really great atmosphere. The look of the full-stocked bar also added a touch of class and character. The only downside I would say is that the actual buffet section of the restaurant felt a bit cramped. Would've really liked it to be a bit more spaced out because sometimes it can get a busy too busy with a massive queue of people waiting ages to get at the food.
Customer Service:
Perfect. The servers were very attentive with things like clearing plates and in general making sure that you are enjoying your meal. When we walked in, we were seated immediately and had our drink orders taken. I've experienced quite a few buffets in South Wales with highly un-attentive staff so I'm very glad that Tiffins is the exact opposite of that!
Food:
Delicious! A lot better than I expected for "buffet food". They had loads of different curries as well as desserts! My recommendations:
~ Sounds silly, but I loved their chips! Thick and soft on the inside. Yum!
~ The cream puffs from the dessert section were heaven.
~ The Vegetable Samosas were soft, chewy, and delicious.
I would also pretty much recommend all of their curries. They are all made well so it really just depends on personal taste from there. One thing I quite like about Tiffins is that everything is clearly labeled with the spice level as well so if you're someone who can't really handle spicy foods, it doesn't need to feel like you're in a minefield or anything like that.
Room For Improvement:
~ The logistics of this would be difficult, but as I mentioned I really don't like how cramped the buffet section is. On busy nights it can get a bit hectic. No reason for it to be this way seeing as how there's plenty of space in the restaurant.
~ Most of their curries are mainly chicken curries. Essentially, very few variation in the meats. There was only like 1 lamb curry and 1 beef curry that I could see. A bit unfortunate because I'm a huge fan of beef! Like I said though, the chicken curries were all very good I just wish that there could've been a tad bit more variation in protein.
Overall, I'd be very happy to go back to Tiffins. I had a great time and for all you can eat, the food was surprisingly great quality. read more
