He was near the bottom of his class and his teacher suggested that he consider leaving the honors program as he was near the bottom of the class. After rotating through 3-4 tutors who I could tell weren't doing the trick and costing me a fortune, I found Brandon. From the first session I knew he was different as he took his time to figure out exactly where my little cousin was at and proceeded to create lesson plans tailored to his needs. By the end of the semester, he was near the top of the class and started loving going to school. I can't thank Brandon enough for helping my little cousin find his passion for school and teaching him HOW to learn.

Because of that, I am extremely selective about who I invite into her educational experience. A+ Tutoring has truly become part of my team, and I could not be more grateful. From the very beginning, they have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional support and customer service. What has impressed me most is how thoughtfully they match each child with a tutor. They genuinely take the time to understand your child's learning style, personality, needs, and goals rather than simply assigning a tutor. And if something ever needs to be adjusted, they address it immediately. In my experience, they don't just solve the issue, they somehow manage to outdo themselves in the process. Mandy and Janelle, their incredible tutor matchmakers, are exceptional. They are attentive, responsive, intuitive, and truly invested in finding the right fit for your child. I have felt incredibly supported throughout the process. And then there is our tutor, Sonya Karl, who is EXTRAORDINARY. Sonya is deeply child-centered, incredibly intelligent, emotionally intelligent, patient, warm, and genuinely gifted at connecting with children. She has such a beautiful heart, and it is evident in the way she teaches. The most meaningful measure for me is this: my daughter is not only excelling academically, she genuinely looks forward to her tutoring sessions with Sonya. That says everything. Finding the right people to support your child's education is such an important decision, especially when you are homeschooling and creating an educational experience around your child rather than asking your child to fit into a system. A+ Tutoring understands that. I feel incredibly fortunate to have found them, and even more fortunate that they connected us with Sonya. They have earned my trust, my gratitude, and my highest recommendation.

We began searching for a tutor that would be the "right fit" for our daughter, Vyla, some time ago…read more During the 2020-2021 year (4th grade), our daughter was lucky enough to be in-school learning, as COVID prevented many from not being in-school. However, Vyla had been struggling since the beginning of her 3rd grade year, when COVID first hit. Her studies took a nosedive and we had been playing catch-up since. Although being in school was incredibly valuable, she continued to fall behind. As Vyla entered the 5th grade, we were determined to get her caught up as quickly as possible. We considered a few other services, which all looked great, but there was something very warm and positive about Marsha when we discussed Vyla and our determination to get her back to grade level. Marsha reviewed Vyla's background, listened to all of our concerns, reviewed an academic evaluation we had Vyla complete, and discussed an education plan moving forward .When Vyla began the 5th grade, we then reevaluated what Vyla should be doing, based on what was going on in her class. Marsha focused on Vyla's gaps, and with each session, Vyla became more confident, and more focused! When we started, Vyla was hesitate, as Marsha was "new" and she was not sure if she would work well due to having to complete her schoolwork; she was worried about being over-worked. But with each new session, Marsha showed Vyla that studies could be fun! Marsha challenged her with quiz's, facts, flash cards, and Vyla could feel the improvement in her studies. As the school year has progressed, Marsha was quick to utilize the areas Vyla was working on in school, as well as testing her on her spelling, math, and reading. Marsha is kind, patient, and very accommodating. She is willing to work with your schedule, and is flexible provided you keep in communication with her. She wants to work with children, and you can tell she cares - she cares about their wellbeing, education and self-esteem, which is very refreshing. We are very happy we found Marsha, and intend to keep working with her for the rest of the school year, and hopefully next year as well! We completely recommend and appreciate Marsha, who is truly a friendly, experienced and professional tutor. Thank you!

From the very first session, it was clear this wasn't just tutoring--it was personalized, thoughtful guidance tailored to our child's learning style and pace. Our child went from struggling with math and reading to actually looking forward to sessions and gaining confidence week after week. Homework time is no longer a battle, and the improvement in school has been noticeable--not just in grades, but in attitude and independence. The communication with parents is also fantastic.
