He also provided pricing upfront, which I found very reasonable. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles! Since moving here this past September, I've been searching for a reliable dry cleaning and alterations spot -- and I think I may have found it. Morgan took care of my dry cleaning ($6 per garment prepaid -- love that!), and Michael helped me with my alterations. He was incredibly helpful in walking me through what was needed, what could realistically be done, and even left the pins in a few garments so I could go home, think it over, and move around in them before giving the green light. I really appreciated that thoughtful approach since I'm still on the fence about altering a couple items I didn't spend much on to begin with. Turnaround times are also great -- dry cleaning by tomorrow and alterations by next week. I'll post updates once I pick everything up! So far so good!!!

Their seamstress Natasha was also able to take a little length off of my husband's slacks with a rush fee and she did a great job. They were ready to pick up 6 days later and looked good as new! I'm not sure how much other places charge, but $14.70 seemed like an absolutely fair price to me! I can tell they stay busy because of how much clothes they had hanging up that just needed to be picked up. They also have a seamstress on site, though from reviews I've read it "seems" they may not be there everyday :P I can tell this is an Eagle staple and I'm glad to have small businesses available like this to support!

She had a leather jacket cleaned which took four months to get done. This is after she was told 2-3 weeks. During the wait, she would call numerous times with them saying they would get back to her but never doing so, on other calls saying they didn't know the status or where it was at. On her last call to them, the manager Chelsea openly laughed at her concerns and offered nothing for the trouble. After requesting that it shouldn't be paid for since it took four months, Chelsea said it wasn't really their problem since it's done by a third party. The manager showed no remorse and was even insulting when inquiring about the status of the item and it taking so long with little to no communication or explanation.

Due to changes in the type of clothing people purchase today, much of which does not require dry cleaning, demand for this service has decreased. Still, it's important to be able to identify a good dry cleaning service for when you need it. I recently visited a competitor who quoted me $66 to clean a short wool coat, and a pillow case. It had been a while since I had the need to get anything dry cleaned, but that seemed steep to me. I went to Baird's, who quoted a price close to half that amount. Needless to say, I chose Baird's. They did an excellent job! In addition, the customer service was excellent and my items were ready on time. I will definitely be using Baird's for all my future dry cleaning needs.

All they needed to do was sew alone that white line -that's all and then return it to me! But the female owner, put her hand up in the air while making a face, as if she was flicking away a fly to me??. She said, "no no -you do -no no!" WHAT the heck?!? She does not know me or who I know! If any of my employees treated anyone like that- they would have been fired!!!!!! It took me about 20 minutes to find the parking space to go downstairs underneath the building down the hallway near a knife shop to even find their hole in the wall. I took it to the the Martinez Cleaners near State Street and they were so sweet and said they would do it no problem. They love the idea that my grandson will have my giraffe T-shirt when he comes to visit as a night shirt To have this couple treat me that way and tell me to go away... Was very insulting! I have friends that do own businesses from Thailand, China and Japan and have only been treated me and others, sweet and kind and with respect as I give them. It was as though I was in the middle of a Seinfeld episode with a soup Nazi saying "no soup for you, go away, go away" - I stood there, totally in shock and I said paused and said in my heart- I will never go back and I will tell other people-stay away, they're not nice! !!" so I will take my money somewhere else where it's appreciated!. When I moved to Boise I tried a couple of different local chains in downtown that had high reviews. Choice was based on location honestly. Those cleaners were nice enough, but failed to starch my shirts (I gave each shop three tries). I even asked for heavy starch and the shirts still came back like I just pulled them out of the dryer. Green Leaf is a little out of my way, but worth it! My shirts are clean and starched. The store is immaculate by the way. Very nice location. I'll continue to use them.

I am really sad...my first grandaughter was born last week and I wanted to do something special. I…read moreworked tirelessly learning how to crochet and make her a baby blanket. Because I have cats, I wanted to make sure it was cat dander free. I took it to 12th Avenue Cleaners upon recommendation from a friend. I was told it would be ready by Tuesday, but when I went to pick it up, I was told it wouldn't be done until the next day, Wednesday. I showed up, picked up my blanket, went home and was immediately sick to my stomach! The pictures tell the story. I'm trying not to be upset, but I am let down that they didn't let me know that it was damaged. He just put it in a bag and sent me on my way. Lesson learned. Just like I check my food to be sure I got what I paid for at a drive through, I need to do the same when I go to the dry cleaner to voice my concerns about the finished product. I am sick that I am going tobe embarassed giving it to my daughter for my first grand baby, but I want her to know that I had good, loving intentions.
