Nearly every morning, I stop at Crew, pay two dollars to sweep out my car, and then use my Ultimate subscription to run it through the wash. I also drive for Uber, and earlier today a passenger spilled milk all over my rear floor mat. I pulled into the Crew Car Wash on Crawfordsville Rd and asked an employee if he could spray off the mat. After looking at it, he told me, "We don't offer that service." I explained the situation and said I'd been a loyal customer for years, but had never asked for anything like this before. His response was, "That doesn't matter. Go to a location with self-serve bays and do it yourself." I understand they can't accommodate every unusual request, but in this situation, it was clear I genuinely needed help. I've lived downtown for 15 years and usually visit the Meridian Street location. The difference there is night and day: when I showed them the same mat, the first employee greeted me kindly and immediately offered to help. He directed me to pull around, and another employee quickly sprayed it off. It looked great afterward, and they treated me with respect the entire time. I've worked in customer service for 20 years, and this is exactly how you take care of customers. When someone faces an unusual circumstance, you step up and help -- especially when all that was needed was a quick spray with the hose already in hand. While my experience at the Crawfordsville location made me feel like just another number, the team at the Meridian location reminded me what good customer service looks like.

Got right in on a Thursday evening at 5. There was no line. They did a decent job cleaning my car…read more It def needed it. Still the cheapest. $15 for the inside. The most expensive wash is only $37 (inside and outside)

I grew up in this neighborhood so I have seen this place BOOMING with cars lined all the way down 16th St. It won't be like that any longer I can almost guarantee. I paid for both interior and exterior cleaning. I had moved a pair of boots on to the floor thinking they could just lift them and vacuum but NOPE they put them in the backseat thus leaving dried mud and debris on the seat. The cup holders and console were hardly touched and the vents were still covered in dust. I took a look around and wasn't happy so I asked one of the workers if he could bring another towel over. When he saw what they had left behind he said "I would tell the manager, he was just getting on them about being lazy... I can't say anything because he'll chew my head off because he says I try to do too much". I thought that was odd but as I was standing in the lobby, I had seen a grumpy little man with a pony tail talking to people like they were dogs, frazzled because they had just locked a customer's keys in their car. low an behold this was the "manager". When he came over I explained what I was unhappy with and he immediately started making excuses. Saying they weren't a detail shop, they do "light dusting" and he personally cleaned the cup holders and it was just "caked on dirt" - it was loose crumbs. They didn't even bother to sweep besides the seats. He didn't bother to look inside. I disagreed and told him I paid $34 for an INSIDE and OUTSIDE clean. He was combative and rude the whole time and decided that instead of just doing a better job, he had time to stand there and get into a screaming match with me in front of everyone there including my 14 year old brother who was in the car. I explained I didn't buy the basic package so I though that would mean a more detailed service (there's no description on the menu other that what they do to the outside) he claimed that "just because you spend more money that doesn't mean you get better service." Which LOL - anyways, during the altercation at one point he walked away and said something under his breath, ti which I asked him what he said - he came back for round two! Again yelling about how detail jobs are $250 and they're not a detail shop, I had unrealistic expectations. At one point he said "you are ignorant" to which I called him out again. His excuse was I was talking over him, and he tried to back peddle. I never called him out of his name, but I told him he's bad for business and he treats his employees and customers like trash. He needs to do better. After walking away a second time he called me a "f**kin dumba**" under his breath. Save your money and go to crew or somewhere else. This is a half finished service with a side of excuses as to why it's acceptable. Don't complain unless you want to get in a screaming match with a temperamental dude with a fragile ego who will eventually ruin his own business because he doesn't know how to run a respectable one. In the amount of time he spent arguing his piss poor performance he could have rectified what I was unhappy with. Instead he decided his time was better spent screaming at a woman with a child in her car.

I was originally told by a staff member that the company would take care of the damages. He took my information down and said that someone from corporate would call me. I went up to the carwash 3-4 more times to find out when someone would call me and I was given an excuse every time. A month later, I received a phone call on a Saturday afternoon stating they were a manager and that the technician said they would not be paying for the damages because there is a sign up stating they don't pay for any damages done to the vehicle. When asked for the corporate number, I was told there isn't one. When I asked for the owners name, I was told they are very private. The a guy in the background stated I could go through my insurance. He then got on the phone and stated he was a manager and that they wouldn't be paying for damages. He then threw out that my car was SIX years old, and that it's been through snow and rain. He also stated he has an old car. When I told that my car isn't old, he then asked if I just got it off the car lot. I told him 2 years ago, I did. I then asked what he meant by that because my car isn't old or tore up and that it's irrelevant to what I'm calling for. He then moved on to tell me to look on Crew's reviews because I told him to look at the reviews with the damages done to the cars because of Royal's Car Wash. He said that stuff happens all the time, and that he has a million dollar machine. I told him damages never occurred at Crew and that he's giving me BS answers regarding my claim. He states I can go through my insurance and when I asked for the owner's info, he says he can't give it out and he says I can use his name, which he gives me. At this point, I was very frustrated as a customer and I got quiet. He says he has work to do and can't stay on the phone. Then hangs up on me. If you choose to go here, good luck!
