This is a fairly good place to get a car wash- They have several options available, such as…read moreexterior wash only, interior and exterior, etc. I've had both the cheapest (about $9, exterior only) and the most expensive (interior and exterior-vacuming, wiping down the inside, etc. which was about $20, with a coupon) and both were satisfactory for the price given. Employees have been polite and friendly and wait times haven't been too bad. The interior and exterior took about 30 minutes. They have a nice inside wait area and rocking chairs if you want to wait outside. My only complaints are it's a little difficult to get into the place because of the way it's situated and the fact that you're not really sure what to do when you pull in there (not very good signage). They always seem to be busy, though, when I am there. This also seems about the only (working) place to get a car wash in the area- everywhere else I've been to is either do-it-yourself or broken. :(

Miss Hannah is the exact kind of person that you should have working in the front. She was very kind, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was just "window shopping" to buy tires later, but she was so good and low pressure that I decided to buy them that day. Staff and service like this are the kind that make me loyal and convinced me to spend a little more than I would have getting similar tires from a wholesaler. It's all about service and peace of mind. She called later to let me know the tire was ready. As hectic and busy is it was, she must have some kind of superpower to multi task and still attend to the person in front of her. I'm new to town, so this first visit was pretty important and it was really great. Instead of a recommendation; I can say that I'm glad that I came here. I came back for install and alignment, and held off on my review until then. In addition to the nice staff up front, the guys doing the install and alignment were great! They kept me advised, gave me a few options along the way, and were super helpful. Matlock-Athens has exceeded my high expectations which were based on a few local friends recommending Matlock. The old Jeep like a primitive dune buggy with all of the personality and quirks without any pesky modern amenities or safety features. Held together mostly with bailing wire, bubble gum, and hope. I need a place like Matlock to be able to enjoy it in the summer and still be able to be able to keep it on the road! These old CJs are notoriously squirrelly and suffer from a common condition known as "death wobble." Not anymore, the alignment was reasonable and makes it a lot safer. I went with an unorthodox choice that isn't the classic tire. They ordered the Coopers for me and I'm satisfied. I recommend Matlock for the whole experience. Form, function, fit, & feel. They make a fierce cup of coffee, too, which I really appreciated at 8am.

And, women I know report the and treatment, which shouldn't be an exception, but these days it's something that I consider when I choose a business. I have had so many oil changes, and done dozens myself here into my 6th decade that I understand the occasional mishap and this is the kind of place, and corporation, that I know would (and has) been responsive to that sort of thing in a way that would still let me want to come again for service. As with so many places in Tennessee small towns, the local staff are what separate it and add those friendly hospitable touches. We're repeat customers and plan to continue.
