I was reaching out for someone with a complex case. They don't have an active ticket, but needed a traffic defense lawyer to help them and was willing to pay a retainer to get their legal advice on obtaining their license back after a multi state mixup. The person who answered was great, however the attorney who emailed back was extremely short. "Hi, the case appears closed. You need to contact the court directly." When asking which court to contact; considering this is two states and two courts, explaining they have contacted the courts directly, and the DMV all giving different information, there was no response back. I did email with questions twice after the initial response with no communication back. It would have come off better for the attorney to state point blank he could not help, didn't want to help etc. I even asked if this is something he didn't take care of (even though there is a whole tab for license suspension on the website) If he could refer me to someone who could help. No response. In looking for law advice many prefer someone to the point. I ended up calling another firm local to me, this attorney with 20+ years experience told me point blank "this is going to be an absolute headache and it's already a mess, not a case I would like to take due to the headaches to come, but this person needs legal help, that is my job, and what I am good at" 2000.00$ retainer later and within just a few weeks, the case is almost wrapped up and license will be reinstated. I had a very disappointing experience with this service. Their follow-up was very poor, and they rarely answered the phone when I called. Even their email responses were inconsistent and often unhelpful, with staff sometimes not even knowing who they were talking to. It was a horrible experience overall. Got a questionable red light ticket in Florida after being detoured due to recent hurricane. Would have been like $150 to pay off, decided to fight it with this guy. Paid the "attorney" fee and got the case dismissed but was charged a $250 court fee that got sent to collections for over $350. So basically the cost charged by the attorney plus fees was well over $400 for a red light ticket. The service cost me multiple times the amount of paying the ticket upfront. Points are not charged for red light tickets in my home state and paying the ticket on time would have been a superior decision. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! Hired Ticket Fit Oct 31 2022 to help fight a speeding ticket. After I paid the $99 fee I received an email confirming receipt of payment and advising not to contact for updates for the next 2 months. I was also advised to dismiss mail regarding my tickets as this was "normal" during the process and after the initial first 2 months. (See attatchment) I should've followed up on this far more despite the specific request not to. On April 2nd I opened a piece of mail informing me that my ticket WAS IN COLLECTIONS! I immediately checked the status of my License on the DMV SITE only to find it has been SUSPENDED since Jan 3rd 2023.(See attachment) Almost 2 months exactly from the date I hired them. I have been driving around on a suspended license for 3 months!!!! When I called to address this I was asked to reply to an email they're sending with my drivers license number and other basic info, which I did immediately to which I received a response offering their services to reinstate my license for $149. Seriously??? Naturally they will not return my calls or respond to emails so to say they royally f*cked this up and created a far larger problem than I had initially would be an extreme understatement. Being the cowards they clearly are, they refuse to even acknowledge their giant mistake, much less do anything about it. Its truly shocking that people like this can conduct business. Hired Frank for illegal U turn. He was very response at first and told me because I have only reviewed one ticket in my lifetime(over 2 yrs ago), chances are pretty good that my ticket would be dismissed. He did nothing for me. He didn't even present my case. All he does is look for errors in the tickets and if cop shows up, he just enters a no contender plea. I wanted to him to present my case and talk about my case and my intent and why I took that u turn. He did none of that. My ticket was $180 and I ended up paying $195 with course costs plus his fees. The adjudication was witheld(no points, no insurance increase). But this can be done by yourself. So do yourself a favor and go to court yourself and save $$. These attorneys are useless. They just get your money and talk you into it and then change as soon as they get the money. Please please please educate yourself and fight your tickets yourself. I am very disappointed with ticketfit. I paid them to take care of a ticket I got for supposedly running a red light. He was supposed to file a motion to keep my license from getting suspended by the 8th and he did not, so my license got suspended and I missed work and lost quite a bit of $$ as a result of it....I called ticketfit about it and George said I have to email the attorney, Frank about it, but he was in court so I had to wait for him to get back to me. He has not. I had several outstanding red light camera tickets from 2015 that I recently received (and misssed) a summons for. My license and registration was suspended and I wasn't able to renew. After calling several other ticket clinics I was told that it would take several weeks to be able to sort out my legal issues so I would be able to drive legally. I'm surprised reading Frank's replies here in Yelp by how nice and straight to the point he is. In my experience, he was exactly the opposite: short and vague answers, lack of updates, and if I wanted clarifications he would reply in an agressive way (e.g., "I explained this to you many times", "unless you have a law degree"). And bear in mind that I work ~70 hours per week, don't have time to ask him multiple questions every day - I just wanted a proper, straight to the point, and complete reply. After these interactions, I decided to change my attorney because I had completely lost trust in him. Really bad service, do not recommend. In addition, even with the fact that he was out of the case and didn't even go to court, he does not want to give any of my money back (even after he promissed to return to me about a prorated refund - another vague promise). read more

Disappointing. I hand it to him that he handles everything directly and responds fairly quickly when handling the case as well as when problems arise. In May I receive an email from Frank saying everything is 'Dismissed' and I have no fees to pay. To my surprise, 8 months later I receive a letter from the Florida DMV saying that my license has been suspended for late payment of Court Fees and now I owe that plus the late fees. At least Frank responded and explained the situation, even if 8 months later. He offered to pay for the late fees ($16). Still, I am disappointed in this service, and have to change my five star review to a Three Star review... At least he answered, others would've disappeared. Very clear about what his fee is and kept me updated on the court date etc. and I ended up paying $99 total and getting both tickets dismissed--granted the tickets were kind of absurd--one for having the metal dealership plate cover a portion of the writing in "The Sunshine State", which the cop told me I could get dismissed, and the other for going 10 mph over the speed limit (I was going 35 mph). FHP had been cordial when we were pulled over, but the tickets were painful. Frank's rate was actually less than the fine, and the total dismissal meant that I didn't owe anything else. My ticket was dismissed on the first court date. My friend's ticket took a few more appearances, but it went away as well. I hired Frank Menendez based on the reviews here, however I wish I had not hired him. He was very responsive at first, but as soon as I paid the fee, getting ahold of him was extremely difficult. I wanted information on how he was going to proceed and after multiple calls, texts, and emails I finally received a response. (my ticket was regarding speeding and required me to go to court) I wasn't feeling too good about continuing with him but I had already paid about $300 for his service and couldn't afford to lose that money. After the first court hearing, I heard back about a week later being informed that a second hearing was scheduled. So far so good... About a week after the second hearing, having not heard from him I decided to call the court myself. On the phone with the clerk I was told that I had a fine to pay (which I was not made aware of through my lawyer) but also that Frank DID NOT SHOW. When I confronted him about it he told me he filed paperwork that allowed him to represent me without having to be physically there, however when asked to show me proof of this ( as it is my right to see all paperwork submitted in my name) he failed to respond. About 2 weeks after the case closed ( I already knew the outcome) and emailing once more, he finally got back to me like nothing was wrong. Here is his final email "I have good news, I finally got in hold of the court a few minutes ago to clear everything up since they had entered the wrong disposition... I apologize for the confusion and I also asked for addition time to pay the court fees but your record remains clean." To be clear, there were no confusion about the disposition of the case, as I knew over 1 week prior to his email what I owed. No additional time was given either as the deadline did not change compared to when I checked directly with the court. To summarize I paid almost $300 for no representation, as far as I know he did not submit the paperwork since he can't show it to me and the court didn't tell me about such thing. I could have lost my license for not paying the fee if I had not been checking on it ( I doubt I would've heard from Frank if I had not been emailing him). On the bright side I did not get points on my license but I will never hire him again and will file a complaint with the board for failure to communicate. read more

Case dismissed! Thank you so, so much, Frank! This dismissal literally saved me. I got a red light ticket last October. I go to a lot of meetings and get a lot of parking tickets.
