I'm not sure what all of the good reviews are about, but my family and I did not like anything short of some seasoned green beans mixed with asparagus. We've got a decent palate and follow a substantial vegetarian diet. We do include vegan foods when possible but do not go out of our way to remain strict. Between the four of us, we tried a bit of everything so it wasn't just one or two things that were less than pleasant. We were traveling and needed a quick bite. As someone looking for vegan eats this place is amazing! The prices aren't bad too depending on your portion sizes (mine was 13 and my husbands was 17 although I am sure he could have eaten 20's worth). The food is delicious, fresh, varied, and wonderfully presented and from a variety of cultures. I did have a breakfast and lunch there, I thought lunch was better (explained why in 3rd pic). Great option for Vegetarians. You have a buffet spread and you pay by weight of the food on your plate. Food here seemed fresh and was delicous. I went here with my family of 5 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal including drinks and desserts. It's located in the main terminal of Lucerne train station on the top floor. Great buffet options consisting of mostly vegetarian and vegan. All items are labelled if you have food allergies or restrictions. Food was tasty! You walk in, grab a plate and self serve at the buffet. Then stand in line at the cafe to pay and order any drinks. They will give u a tray and weigh your food. Couldn't figure out where to go for dinner that was opened and reasonably priced, so we ended up going here which was right at the train station near our hotel. Who knew you could find great food in a train station?! The food was all vegetarian and buffet style charged by weight. I loved that I could try samples of almost everything. Some of the things I tried... Mussaka, falafel, quinoa patty, persimmon, squash, avocado tofu salad, roast beets, lentils, roast potatoes, jalapeno popper, green beans, free rolls, baba ganoush... Wow, a lot, but really just little sample sizes of each which ended up being a really great and healthy dinner! I also ordered the local beer. Once I learned that I was traveling to Lucerne, I quickly looked to Yelp to find vegetarian options in the area. I was really excited to learn about Tibits and put it at the top of our "places to eat" list. My husband and I arrived for an early dinner on a weeknight and it wasn't crowded, but it was far from empty. Without hesitation, I grabbed a plate and started filling it with reckless abandon. Seaweed with rice noodles! Vegetable pakora! Tofu! Broccoli! Before I knew it, my plate was almost overflowing. My husband stared in horror as I tried to balance one more piece of pakora atop my plentiful bounty. (I was successful, in case you were wondering.) The food was delicious and the environment was slightly quirky and fun. I made the most of it by choosing one of the tables with the cute, oversized chairs. My only complaint was the cost of the food! Everything in the area seemed to be equally pricey, but I was surprised at how expensive it was. However, unlike most European restaurants, they offer glasses and free water, so that was nice! Between the quality of food and variety of choices, I would highly recommend this place for a quick sit-down or takeaway meal. read more

Fabulous place to eat in Luzern, esp for vegetarians. As many have noted, it's not cheap, but I think it qualifies as relatively economical for Switzerland! My partner and I each got a full plate of food and paid 18chf each. Really easy to find, just on the top level of the Luzern train station. You can also get some premade items like sandwiches just for takeaway and the prices are a bit cheaper, though I think the takeaway for the buffet is the same price as eating in. read more

Awesome place!! Top floor of Luzern main train station, all vegetarian, with everything vegan clearly labeled (yay!) basically it's self serve, so you take a plate or takeaway container (don't be scared by the lack of lids and cutlery, they give them to you when you pay) they have hot food like curries and potatoes and ratatouille, salads, falafel, guac (), humus and a range of desserts, but you have to pay for everything by weight, and it's expensive, mainly because it's Switzerland rather than an expensive restaurant.. So don't get overexcited and stack too much on and then become broke when you have to pay... Food was all really delicious and I wish it wasn't so expensive so I could eat more... But that's Switzerland for ya! I got my food in a takeaway container so I could eat some now and take the rest home for dinner, but when I sat down at a table to eat from my container, a waiter told me I wasn't allowed to sit and eat with a container, it had to be a plate... Weird? Who cares if it's plate or container, I paid for the food so pls let me eat it! No big deal though, he got me a plate and then I spooned half the food from the takeaway onto the plate and ate in peace lol. read more

4.30 CHF for 100 grams for food, 3.70 for dessert. Watch out as it's very easy to load your plate and owe 20.00 or more but it's all delicious vegetarian food. Dishes which should be spicy are spicy but not too much so. Jalapeño poppers are luscious creamy but not too hot. Pile your plate then go to the cashier at the bar, put your plate on the scale, then pay. The cashier said we could each take one roll for free, no butter or olive oil. Very pleasant interior with big windows looking out onto the inside of the train station and the bus plaza outside, many small tables, attractive decor. We paid 41.00 CHF which is inexpensive for Switzerland. read more

Delectable cafeteria-style vegetarian fare -- legitimately one of the greatest meals I had in Europe. I only wish seating were less aggressive a hunt. We couldn't sit our group of four together during peak hours. Tables were scarce, and staff was unwilling to care. Still, five stars for the good grub. read more

I found this over-priced. I was confused about how to order but may can't blame it on the place. I never any buffet where billing is by weight. So I think this is cultural difference. Another problem - the queue for billing was long. So either you need to take large portion in first go, which will cost more and result in more wastage OR you can queue up again and again. I found this is more annoying than "billing by weight". 3-stars I am giving is for vegetarian part only. It's good to see a place for vegetarians right in the Luzern Station. :-) read more

Somewhere between 3-4 stars since their options seems a bit less than Hiltl. The food is good but not as good as Hiltl but a good option to have if you are vegan or vegetarian. It offers the same delicious vegetarian feast for the eyes and the palate as one finds at Tibits in Zurich, Basel, Bern and Winterthur.
