The price of medium braids is decent- however, quality of medium braids did not match the price I paid. The finished product: parts weren't even, and some of the "medium" squares were large, while others were medium. Additionally, the braids started unraveling two days post appointment (they were dipped in hot water to seal the ends, but not a very good job). I'd only return if I had no other options or if they would redo the style free of charge.

I went to Tig for take down service of the hairstyle in the picture. This is the second time I've come here for take down service and been satisfied. As an African American woman who loves her protective styling, I loathe the take down process. Each time I've come here I've called the day of and been able to obtain same day services. I didn't have to schedule a month out like some places. I wasn't overcharged for length or size of braids. I wasn't overcharged for a wash and blow dry. I admit I was skeptical going to anyone [non-black] but I'm so glad I took a chance and you should too. They were gentle with my hair and used heat protection. Oh my take down included a shampoo, condition, blow dry, and flat iron. I opted to forego the flat iron because I wear it in its natural fluffiness. I thought they were kind and communicated what I wanted the entire time. I was in and out within 2.5 hours I think. Each time I've gone, it's only been max 4 people and that includes the stylists, which is nice. Some places are fast but packed and the customer service takes a back seat. The salon is clean and quiet without the hassle of vendors in and out. This was my first visit and Ms. Felicia did a fantastic job with my locs. The entire process from start to finish only took an hour and that included a nice shampoo, twist, and dryer! She actually listened to my concerns and was able to provide some useful information on how to better care for my locs and scalp to enhance the style. What a dream come true! She also recommended two products that are helping my scalp and locs. After trying everything under the sun, it was refreshing to finally find someone that could offer products that were a good match for my type locs/hair type and scalp condition. Being a cancer patient, it has been most difficult to find someone who is skilled and knowledgeable to do hair/scalp care. No doubt, Ms. Felicia has the skills and knowledge for hair and scalp care. I also mentioned that I needed a trim in addition to the box braids and I was quoted about $170 for everything which was a good deal to me. I also liked how I did not have to bring my own hair and that hair is provided. They are located within the Salon Plaza office. I had to ring a doorbell to be let in.
