Oh how I love Vietnamese food.....the flavours speak to me in a way no other cuisine can...well, actually I really like traditional mexican food too, but I digress.
Tia To is named after a herb traditionally used in Vietnamese cooking, particularly found in seafood dishes or used as a garnish on things like rice paper rolls, pork noodle soups and rice vermicelli. The restaurant focuses on traditional vietnamese fare, and offer specialty dishes that are not as well known, like pork belly sauteed with prawns and caramel fish sauce, and the deep fried red snapper with fresh tomato, vinegar and fish sauce.
The food here is really flavoursome - perfect for those with adventurous tastebuds, or those who like really authentic vietnamese dishes.
The service was not spectacularly friendly, but it was perfectly acceptable. Come for the food more than anything else. read more
