I perhaps expected a little more punch to the flavors here, but all of the punch came in one of the pre-meal bread dips. Simply waving the bread over the little dish set my tongue on fire, never mind actually meaningfully dipping it. And I like my food spicy. So beware the green stuff, in a GOOD way! Actually, both the bread and the dips here were superior to most others in Portugal.
They were out of the crab curry that I wanted, and our waitress recommended fish stew. The 'stew' was more just a couple steaks on a plate with a thin sauce on top. The sauce was great, tomatoey and clean, though I wish it had stuck to the meat better. The fish was just a good satisfying non-fancy steak.
Sadly, the guava juice was canned, not fresh, though she mixed it with fresh orange juice, I believe. read more
