Super nice and down to earth guy, probably in his 40s but still be able to keep up with all the trendy styles. The shop is recently remodeled so it's clean and bright, and the price is absolutely reasonable. Come in the morning or make appointment to avoid the crowd. read more

Came here because of the 5 stars reviews and I have to say, David (Diep) lived up to the rating. It's so hard to find a stylist who can cut now a days and also understand how to cut different hair. I have very thin hair so by layering it too much would make it even more thin. Instead David gave me two level layer and cut off all my damaged hair. I am however going to take 1 star away because of the blade he used to layer my hair it made part of my hair more damaged. As for my husband, he kept my his existing style and gave it more life. Can't beat his pricing as well. Will be coming back again for sure. Wish we lived closer, cause then I will be here every 4 weeks heheh! read more

I came here a couple of weeks ago looking to get a hair cut. This was my first time here and David suggested a treatment to get rid of the frizz on my hair. He gave me a really good deal for the treatment and hair cut. My hair is super straight now and I don't have to straighten it anymore. I was very satisfied with the customer service David and his wife are very friendly and attentive. Will definitely be returning here. read more

My girlfriend came here for a haircut. David greeted us and I was able to wait in the lounge area. The salon was not too crowded for a Saturday morning around opening time. My girlfriend liked her haircut and with the check-in discount, it was 24 dollars without the tip, I believe. She cut off about 9 inches of her hair it looks great to me! Will hopefully come back for her next cut. read more

I only get my hair cut by chu Diep (David). He's very skilled in his profession, and super nice. He always takes his time whenever he cuts my hair, which I really appreciate. Price is very reasonable, it comes with shampooing of hair, which is a plus. My husband goes here for his hair cut as well. We both trust and recom him. read more

Been going to this place for over 5 years now. Best haircut place I know in OC at a low price. Both the women hair stylists do a great job at cutting. Would recommend this place to everyone! 10/10 read more

Okay, Honestly this place get a lot of crap, from what I understand because they mess up your hair. And while I can completely understand that and being pissed about it, you should note that the management takes your criticism into account and takes care of less-than-desirable employees. That being said, I personally enjoy this place, not for the ambiance of vietnamese music/television playing (I mean come on, the demographic for this place is catered to the locals) but for the consistency and quality of my cuts given the price. Now mind you, and here's my two cents, ONLY GET YOUR HAIRCUT FROM DAVID. (Diep if you want to use his Vietnamese name). He's the owner of the salon and he consistency understands (speaks english) and does exactly what I tell him, and offers his own advice if my demands are too farfetched. This place is good, the problem is that his employees are almost fresh out of cosmetology school, so the chances of any of them, being any good are kinda low. But him and his wife are good at what they do, which is cutting hair and if you want your nails done (I've never done it, but friends have) his wife is pretty good at it. read more

This place is great and the value & quality of service is exceptional. I use to go to supercuts but my friend (very cute female) brought me here. I use to get a men's haircut for ~$25 (shampoo wash & tip included) at supercuts. What I like about this place is that the shampoo is included in the haircut price. $8 for men's haircut. I thinks its only $20 something for females. Anyways, the shampoo and conditioner wash was good she did this scalp massage thing that was way better than what i was getting before. David was my stylist and what i liked about him was he took his time and was very meticulous. I showed him a picture, he studies it for a moment and asked how I would like my own version of it. He's so focused when he cuts your hair that you don't even want to bother him (Time also meant nothing to him as long as you were happy and he created another masterpiece). Like poetry in motion. Then they shampooed my hair again after and styled it! 2 shampoos, meticulous new hair cut for ~$8 + tip. For the price I was paying before, i can keep looking FRESH more often~ David does have a wait (usually women) so be sure to call and book ahead. Remember ~ They are Closed on Tuesdays read more

I love this place! I always get my hair cut by the owner and 99% of the time I come out looking 10 times hotter. The process is like showing a picture, getting the haircut, washing hair, drying hair, and gelling it up. Although this salon may not be as fancy as other salons, the owner treats you like family. For the price, it's a steal and it's important to TIP. Since the owner does such a great job every time, I usually tip 40-50%. Also, the owner takes the time to make sure you look stunning so come here and look fabulous! read more

I rarely let anyone cut my hair, let alone go to back to a hair salon twice; thus should say how well I like chu David cutting my hair. Before I have always experienced a hair cut where I end up hating and wishing my hair would grow a lot faster, but not here. He takes his time and makes sure you like it. I like the way he cuts my bangs which is a two thumbs up for me :) Even my son, boyfriend, and two brothers go here for their hair cuts. My son likes chu David lol I also got a manicure with chu David's wife and I must say she cut my cuticles the best. She did a better job than anyone else I ever had a manicure with. I'm in a need of a manicure so I'm definitely going back to her. $10 for a manicure without tip. And it was $15 for my haircut with tip and my hair is pretty long. read more

I came here due to me trying to DIY my hair but failed horribly. They welcomed me and I got it fixed, they redyed it, touched up my roots for only $80! ($10 for tip). They're very nice, the process took about 3-4 hours but I understood since it does take patience. Thank you! read more

Thy Salon - blue hair done by them! so in love - Hair Salons Near Me - Westminster, California

The place was pretty empty on a Sunday afternoon. I needed a haircut bad and was nearby. I decided on this place because of the high rating, even if it was only with 7 reviews. I was really close by. Diep was the hairstylist that did my haircut today. I asked for a trim. I got at least 3 inches off. I already have thin hair but he keeps thinning it out even more.. he thinned it out by snipping long and short chunks. It made me really really nervous seeing the chunks. Fuming right now that I had to pay $30 for it! That's for the price for a long hair cut. $25 with a yelp discount. Never again even for $15! read more

It was my first time trying a salon that I hadn't already heard about from someone else and my hair is everything to me so choosing a random hair salon based on Yelp reviews was me definitely living on the edge haha. I was hesitant and unsure of how my hair would turn out, of course. But I was more than impressed! It took HOURS but we were able to achieve the EXACT look I was going for AND at a reasonable cost compared to other high end salons. Not only did he get my hair to look exactly the way I wanted but also gave me a free haircut because apparently the last trim I got wasn't evenly aligned the way I wanted. So he fixed it for me at no charge. I was beyond happy with the way hair turned out!!! read more

I am a customer from High Hair Salon. David is the owner of this hair salon with his wife.He is very careful doing my hair. With my new hair color it has made me feel confident with my new hair color and not dislike it. The price is not expensive from other experiences of mine. I got my hair washed, remove color, put a new hair color(blonde), heat machine, wash my hair again, and cut for only $90. Most other places I've been can go over then a $100. I discovered this hair salon from my friend. He has been cutting hair over 10 years, in France, and Vietnam. I recommend coming to this place. Call David before coming so you don't have to wait.(ps Tuesdays they are off) read more

Great experience with great people. Helped me avoid a hair disaster and the coloring is great. My hair was still soft afterwards unlike many places I've been to. UPDATE: This is my go to hair salon now. No matter where else I might go, I always end up back here. Today I got bangs for the first time and showed her a picture. She took one glance and knew exactly what to do. The result is great. I was scared to try anything too extreme so she did minimum for bangs and said if I wanted to cut it even more, then come in next time, but allow myself to adjust to bangs first. I love how they take care of their customers and their hair! read more

I'm very happy with how my hair turned out! Not only was I excited to go to short hair but I was also reassured by the stylist that after the cut my hair would be very healthy. Within the last year I dyed and highlighted my hair, and it was beginning to look really matted whenever i would get out of the shower. After the cut my hair looked very healthy, and with a few more tips from my stylist I'm hoping to keep it that way for a long time. read more

Me and my mom always go here for haircut. Call make appointment before you come. Ask for David.

One of the best hair salon in OC, Mr. Diep ( i called him master Diep) really pays attention to detail. Friendly and affordable prices.

I was reluctant to cut my hair after almost a year of not getting a hair cut and I wasn't familiar with any places in the area for a haircut so I just chose this. There were only two hairdressers working. I got my haircut shorter than expected but I was really happy with how it turned out and it looks completely healthy compared to my previous long hair. read more

while my kid was in the tutoring place next door, david cut and dyed my hair. Did a fantastic job, went the extra mile to clean around the edges to make sure my face and neck had no dye, and the price was reasonable.. $60 for both.. and the scalp massage was amazing.. im gonna go and get a shampoo just for the scalp massage.. im not kidding, massage was the best thing ever.. read more

come here for color and haircut every 3 months. So pleased with result. I like the enviroment here feel like at home

As always, David does a great job on my hair and takes very good care of it. He always listens to what you want and does exactly like that. I am David's customer for 2 years and never regret my choice. If you are a chill person and don't mind if this salon is not as fancy as others, you should go here to meet David and feel like he treats you like his family. He also sells some professional hair products that you cannot find elsewhere. The wait time is not so bad if you walk in and I don't think reservation is mainly required. You can also have your nails done with his wife, but not with spa chair, the nail station is very Vietnamese traditional. Besides, the price is very reasonable for college students compared to its excellent service. I am highly recommended this place for you and your family members. The only part is I wish he had the thermal perm machine like Korean place since a lot of Asian people like it. I told him to get one for his salon but we'll see :) read more

I spotted someone at Downtown Disney who had the perfect a line bob. She had no idea what the name of the salon was or the exact location, and could only say it was by the car wash in Westminister. Being out of towners, we had no clue where this was, but I loved her hair. So my husband and I drove all around Westminister in the middle of the night and took a risk that this was the place. It has now been over 3 years and whenever we are in town from San Francisco David cuts my hair, my husband and childrens hair. He always gets it right. read more
