Chi Thy was very helpful throughout the whole process. I came in and they took my in for a walk-in right away since it was empty. She thoroughly asked me if what she was doing looked okay for me and asked me for my reference pic so she can deliver what I wanted. She also tried her best to fix my bangs but because my hair was split a certain way for so long, it was harder than she thought; she gave me tips on how to maintain my hair and the bangs. I saw a tiktok video on her haircut and decided to try her out. Just like someone else stated on how she cut way to much off same issue happened to me. I asked for two inches and she got off 6!!!! I kept telling her not to cut more and she did NOT listen. Also, she fried my hair off. I had to ask her 5x to apply heat protectant and she didn't do so even though she had some on her counter. She didn't NOT understand curtain bangs or layers. When i explained to her what I wanted she did not understand and kept talking crap in her language. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. ive been here twice for a korean-inspired soft layered haircut and c curl perm. my hair is curlier at first but after a few washes it falls out (to a more c curl) which i realllyyyy like because it just means the perm lasts longer. even after 6 months of hair growth and washes etc the perm and hairstyle is still perfect (with proper care of course) the shop is spacious and comfortable. both the owners worked on my hair and they were awesome! read more

i saw such good ratings about this place on social media so i decided to give this place a try, and it did not disappoint. thy did such a good job because she listened to everything i wanted for my hair. i have really long, thick asian hair and i wanted layers and face frame pieces for my bangs; she was able to do all of that for me. i emphasized that i wanted my length still but just a little trimming on the dead ends and she did in fact keep my length still. the whole time, she was making sure i was okay with the length that she was cutting it because she knew i didn't want my hair short. i'd recommend coming here for your haircut if you're in the area and make sure to ask for thy! 10/10 would come back again when i need a cut again! read more

I love coming here because she pays a lot of attention to detail and always wants to make sure you're happy with the final product. I went to a few salons before this one, and they always tried to rush my hair to get to the next customer and didn't really care to add the finishing touches that make my hair less choppy. But the barbers here have pride in their work and go to great lengths to make your hair look good. Just be aware that there is a language barrier, and she might not understand everything you tell her. Be ready to use Google Translate if you only know English. read more

She's very attentive to detail and asked me things before she did it, for example, she asked if she could cut some of my hair to get rid of the dead ends and to allow my hair to grow out healthier. i told her i only wanted an inch off and that's exactly what she did. i believe her husband dried my hair and styled it while she was working on another clients hair, but even after she was done she came back to me to help style my hair a bit more. I went here to get a trim and go from a middle part to a side part. I got the guy. He spoke no English. I showed him a picture of how I wanted it to look. He cut off three inches when I asked and showed one inch only to be cut off. He cut my hair so that I had a big chunk of hair on top of my head that was supposed to go to the side for the side part. He wasn't told what side to put the part. I ended up either a haircut that was meant for a guy not a 50 something woman. I was not happy at all. She was attentive to detail and did an amazing job. My brother was beyond satisfied. He even asked to switch from our usual haircut place to here. After seeing the amazing work on my brother, I decided to get a trim. I am pretty picky about length and style, and Kim did not fall short of what I wanted. I came across this place on Yelp and badly needed a haircut. My hair was down to my waist and really dry at the ends. I called on Thursday and scheduled an appt for Sat 3/19/22 although they accept walk ins I wanted to make sure I'd be seen. I got there at 10:50am and Ellen was the hairstylist who cut my hair. She had really gentle hands most ppl pull on my long thick hair when brushing it but she was super nice and gentle. I asked for long layers but cut off all the dead hair so she ended up cutting off about 3 inches off from the longest layer and curled it a bit. I didn't ask for my hair washed since it was washed the night before. Overall it was the fastest haircut ever and I liked it. Best prices I've ever seen in OC. I told her that I want to go back to brown and let her work her magic. She dyed it and even styles it the way I wanted without extra charge. However, when it was my turn, both David and (I believe) his wife were very friendly and spoke to me in English. I got my hair washed, blow dried, cut and lightly styled all for only $25 plus tip. Came here because of the 5 stars reviews and I have to say, David (Diep) lived up to the rating. It's so hard to find a stylist who can cut now a days and also understand how to cut different hair. I have very thin hair so by layering it too much would make it even more thin. Instead David gave me two level layer and cut off all my damaged hair. I am however going to take 1 star away because of the blade he used to layer my hair it made part of my hair more damaged. As for my husband, he kept my his existing style and gave it more life. Can't beat his pricing as well. Will be coming back again for sure. Wish we lived closer, cause then I will be here every 4 weeks heheh! read more
