I needed a person ASAP for my hair and found Nikki on IG. She had a lot of followers and beautiful pictures...little did I know I would be wasting $470 on unblended hair, over-toned, greenish golden hair. First thing that was off was that she always promotes "$300 for a Balayage" on her IG. So when I DMed her about my hair, she said her promotion is "$330 for medium length hair" and for my hair history an additional +$40 is needed for "lowlights" and +$40 for a hair trim. TOTAL IS $410. No biggie. I've gotten balayages multiple times in the past and they're always around $450-$500. Second thing I noticed was that all my balayages take at least 4.5-5 hours to do. She took only 3 hours to do my hair AND trim... THE WAY she also WASHES my hair was extremely ridiculous. Water was splashing all over my face, into my ears, and all over my phone. I had never gone to a place that basically misted my entire face and phone. I felt very uncomfortable, but trusted the process. After she finished my hair, I was in love! My hair looked amazing (SINCE IT WAS CURLED I WASNT ABLE TO SEE THE HARSH LINE/UN-BLENDED HAIR/UNEVEN "v" layered cut). She took many videos and photos after...I didn't mind, I thought she was very cute and creative. As she recommended, I didn't wash my hair until a few days later, and once I did, I noticed my hair looking very green/dead/unblended. I did my usual hair style (half-do) and I noticed right away that my hair underneath was NOT BLENDED OUT AT ALL. Not only did I noticed it, ALL MY COWORKERS told me to contact her right away because it is not ok for me to pay $470 (after tips) for a hair like this. I dm'ed Nikki and sent her photos of my hair...and I was stunned at how she tried to gaslight me. She said, "You got a balayage, a balayage always has an inch of black hair. If you wanted me to start at the roots, that's baby lights." I KNOW WHAT A BALAYAGE IS, I HAVE GOTTEN IT FOR YEARS. My problem is that there is no blend to it at all. She then says "trust me. Give it a few months and it will look good and blended." NO. my hair shouldn't have to wait months to LOOK GOOD. It should look good right away. She said if I were to come back in, she would have to start the black inch lower...I'm not sure what she's not understanding or how she calls herself a specialist when she can't even blend my hair properly. READ ALL THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS HERE ON YELP AND SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY. I regret spending $470 on my hair and I dislike how she's not taking accountability for my hair. My friends, who are hair stylists themselves, said she over-toned my hair and did not give me a proper blend. If she can't even see what is wrong in the photos, there is no point in me going back to her to "fix" what she thinks is ok. She also said my hair is "greenish" because of my previous brown hair...honey, the top half of my hair ARE VIRGIN BLACK HAIR, so that doesn't even make sense to why the top part is greenish golden. Don't let Daniel Tran do your hair!!! Run!! I went in for the $250 promo and I had long 85% natural hair. The bottom was blinde but needed to be toned. I showed him my pictures and he said he can do that...it was horrible! Not even close to what I wanted. Then he sent me home with wet hair because his next client was there. Wouldn't recommend anyone going here. I gave a 50$ deposit and took a drive from Culver City to garden grove just to arrive and have one of the hair stylist which I didn't get her name tell me she cannot do the hair color I requested for a week prior to my appointment. Instead she recommended another hair color style that I didn't request for and when I denied the offer, she went ahead and said she could do the hair style I wanted but I wasn't going to be happy with the results so I denied the service. I even showed her 10 different pictures just to try to work something out but she kept insisting on the color she wanted to do so I instead asked for a full refund back which was my 50$ she denied my refund and wouldn't even allow any room for some kind of proper customer service. Also as soon as you walk in they try to rush you on saying they have to start the bleach soon since they have another client coming in soon. Very disappointed in the way this business handled this situation. I lost $50, time and resources. Again horrible experience. read more

Came to Bebe salon and booked with the owner Kelly seeing that she had so many people recommend her from reviews and her results from online social media posts. I grew out my hair from previous blonde and wanted to go darker with a brown balayage. Results werent as expected as my bottom blonde parts were a darker grey purple cool tone while my roots/top section of my hair was a warmer brown tone. I told Kelly this wasnt what i was expecting and she said to give it a week and the purple grey toner would wash out and if not, to text her and she was re-tone for free and fix my bottoms to be warmer. Overall, i had a good experience with Kelly from my salon experience to leaving at this point. After a week, i reached out to Kelly where she stopped responding after i tried scheduling the re-toning session. After no response to two of my text message, and almost 1.5 week later, i reached out again for a partial refund in which she finally responded back. I did not want to have to do this, but I am pretty shocked that she would say me asking for my hair to be fixed as "drama." I've been to Bebe plenty of times, and this was the first time I've ever received this type of service. I think Kelly is a very nice lady, she threw in a free haircut and offered to fix the problem, but there's some issues if a lot of people are having the same problem. I came here because of her promo, but now I probably have to restart my whole process of lightening my hair -- which I've been dyeing blonde for the past 6 years. I have NEVER experienced so much breakage and discoloration so I did try to use purple shampoo and now my hair is fifty shades of horrible. I'm pretty sad and the 2 hours of work that she did, which is not normal for balayage did not even do much to my hair, which she says in the text "didn't get any result" like huh? UPDATE!! Daniel ended up messaging me after seeing my review. I thought he was going to offer a refund but instead left me on seen when i responded. Then when i asked for a refund he said i dont care about his business and tried to guilt trip me. Which is SO IRONIC because at our appointment he was going on and on about how rich he was and how he doesnt even need to do hair he does it for fun AND that if his customers are unhappy he will refund no problem. Then why the F cant he refund me!?!?!? Green and blue hair when i asked for blonde on top of horrible application is DEFINITELY worth a refund. Well, this is the last time I go through with a suggestion from social media. Kelly did my hair yesterday and prior to my appointment, I told her I wanted to do a balayage and informed her I had box dye color on. When I got there - she went right to it without letting me process or giving me any explanation as to what and why she's doing what she's doing. She gave me baby lights and this is what I left with. I have harsh lines all over my hair and overall, did not leave with anywhere near I wanted. This process took just about 2 hours which is way less than what I've gone through before (usually a balayage or highlights this much lasts about 6 hours) and no wonder. If she wasn't confident about being able to do anything with my hair, she should have said so. Lesson learned - if you're spending $300, you're better off somewhere else. Now I have to spend more money to get this fixed but alas, that's on me. Only pro about this place is I guess, Kelly. Regardless, she was a kind lady. read more

stumbled across an instagram ad for bebe salon about a deal they were having, $280 for any coloring+toning+trimming. i decided to go for it since it seemed like a good deal. i messaged them and was promptly set up for an appointment a week later. i was also asked to do a $20 deposit via zelle/venmo. i trusted i was in good hands as they have plenty of great reviews and pictures in their instagram page. when i got there, kelly got straight to business starting with bleaching my hair. then she asked for my inspo pics which i showed her and she said she would 'try' to get that color. if i had been made aware that they can't guarantee the color i wanted, i would've chosen to go to a different salon instead of wasting $300 on something i was not going to like wholeheartedly. it honestly didn't look bad but i wanted a cooler tone rather than warm. anyways, the whole process only took around 2.5 hours and the end result was not even close to what i had wanted, which was an ashy cool tone. instead i got a brassy looking kind of brown. at home, i also noticed that the bleach/coloring wasn't consistent, there's a good chunk of hair at the bottom that looks more bleached than the rest possibly because she started from the bottom and didn't allow sufficient time for the top half to bleach enough. kelly was very nice, efficient and passionate about her work though, she also gave me a lot advice on how to take care of my hair hence my 3-star review. but my recommendation would be to make sure you do your research and look at their previous work for a color that they're more likely to make happen. read more
