About 10 minutes pass and we have already got the kids in the beds and one of them had also discovered half the floor was soaking wet from the A/C unit. She comes to the room and lets us know there is no rollaways and they do not carry them. Absolutely the opposite of what the reservation lady told me. She said she was told she could offer us a different room with a pull out sofa bed in it and we agreed. She asked if we messed up the beds... of course we did! Then told us if we did switch rooms now she would have to charge us for two rooms for the night because they couldn't resell the room. I asked her if she would sell the room knowing it's soaking wet on the floor for half of the room? She said if someone was desperate enough we would let them know. WHAT?!? And it's pretty close to midnight by that time. To top it off there were mosquitoes in the room. It's disgusting this company treats people like this. Will never stay at a Howard Johnson again.

It doesn't have up to date cookie cutter decor. It was very clean and comfortable. It was very reasonably priced and the owner was nice. Given the severe storm conditions and pounding rain I can also tell you that it doesn't leak. It was nice to support a locally owned business.
