Parking: plenty of places to park for $10 and if you are familiar with Norman (my son is a OU graduate) you can find free parking in the area! Kids: lots of college kids out as well as small kids tagging along with parents as they had a carnival with rides, games and the standard carnival food! Music Stage: The stage was positioned perfectly at each end of Main Street and the vendors were all in between the stages on the sidewalk and set ups in the street. I can't say I knew any of the bands but if you got a good beat I can dance to anything (which I did)! Boy did I see a lot of beer vendors (which is good) but I was disappointed to not see any local winery's representing. Maybe next year! Food: Restaurant and bars were open along Main Street and there was plenty of cotton candy, peanuts and corn dogs from vendors! Crowd: the crowd for a Friday night was just right. Not to small or too big. It's a great free event for families, singles, couples and solo outings. Great job Norman

The area is large but not so large you feel like your in nosebleed seats. At our concert there was convenient food items of nachos, pretzels, etc along with bars and outside smoking area. Parking is convenient and close to the casino. The actual concert was amazing with great lighting and sound system! I highly recommend this spot to enjoy one of your favorite concerts! We sure did!

The Med Fair is a Norman tradition. I was very excited to go this year after a 20 year hiatus since…read moreI moved out-of-state. I am back and I wanted some nostalgia. While, it is a big event, it really wasn't the same at all. It used to be at OU Duck Pond and it's now at Reaves Park. I'm pretty sure it had to move away from the duck pond because of parking issues, but parking was not much better at Reaves. Unless you go very early in the morning while everything is being setup, expect to park in a galaxy far far away. At least it's free parking. The entrance is awkward. You will see the jousters on the outskirts (this is not a design flaw imo because you can't forget where they are) then you wind around a million porta potties and it's like your switchbacking until you finally cross into a clearing filled with booths. It's not quite big enough for the amount of pedestrian traffic there is but I was relieved that the fair hadn't been reduced to an extremely long sidewalk sale. My favorite part is watching the blacksmiths and other artisans who make stuff right of you. I love seeing the Medieval characters that people dream up and prance around in. I love the Human Chess Board and the Mermaids are still there, even though there is no water for them to lay around in. Food vendors are pricy, make sure you know exactly what you want or eat before you go. There is no price for parking or entry so any money you spend is going directly to food trucks or the individuals selling their goods.

I had driven by Opolis many times, but had avoided the bar scene because I wasn't keen on running into people I'd gone to HS with. Luckily, the night I went there was no one from my HS class, in fact there weren't that many people at all and the music was fire! Normanites need to do better and support businesses and local music scenes like this. The cover charge was minimal at $8 and the drinks were good.

This is a good place for entertainment at University of Oklahoma - good people, good times and great experiences. I was a bit early and got introduced to these owners and it was the begining of the wonderful experience. - I had the delicious house Pineapple punch with rum which was excellent and just one glass put a "buzz in my turban" - I got to see the menu and noticed a yummy array of food but did not eat as I had already eaten my dinner! Will be there tomorrow to eat! - The ambience of the place reflects on the warmth and friendly nature of the ownership! The bar was well stocked and well kept, the premises were very clean and there was a sense of pride in what was being done. The outside patio was very charming! - The service was impeccable and as I mentioned in the earlier paragraphs there could not be a friendlier place! Thank you Addi, Lane, Eli, Sarah, Ethan and Julius for looking after me so well. You people are going to go places. To summarize, I had an excellent experience on the above these three categories and I will be going to the dance party on the 3rd!! I strongly recommend this venue for anybody's entertainment needs and a place to get together with friends! As far as entertainment- there was an out of state "modern country western band," Tommy Goodroad and his band, and it was their first gig in Oklahoma. It was excellent stuff played by a very talented band with the artists playing a whole spectrum of originals and cover music. Hope to see you all at the Opolis sometime soon. Have a great weekend!!
