Looking for a salon that does sns dip and after seeing good reviews came and my nails are perfect. I was seen quickly for a Saturday, only waited about 5 minutes. I had gotten a gel manicure and less than a week later it was cracked and coming off my nail. Then all my nails cracked within the next couple of days. When I went to get it fixed, the manager and man doing my nails made me feel very uncomfortable. I selected my new color which he completely ignored and put a different color on without asking me. He shaped my nails into ovals (I did not want) and the manicure looks very poorly done. I will not be going back. read more

I usually go to the same lady to get my nails done but she is out of town for 5 weeks so i read the reviews on here and i thought id give it a shot. and it was AWFUL. the place was pretty clean but i wear my nails in the coffin shape and i could tell the man that did my nails didn't want to do them. This is my first visit here and I love it! Got the deluxe pedicure with gel manicure. The foot massage was the best part! (With the "wax wash" close in second.) I asked to have the colors match for both my hands and toes and the nail technician grabbed a close lavender ;but after applying it, he noticed it was much darker. I'm in pedicure heaven. This is a family from California, however the hospitality is nothing shy of southern. They take their time and are not the type of shop that tries to push additional services on u. We were greeted as soon as we entered by every person we came into contact with and then sat right into our chairs for our timed pedicure. To top it off the color selection and the feeling are fantabulous!!! I recommend this location and give 5 stars, LORD ONLY IF THEIR WAS A 6th star!!! read more

Poor quality of work, very disappointed!!! Looking for a place for me and my hubby to get quality time and a little pampering. I read the reviews and thought maybe this might the place. NO NO NO. The reviewers experiences were vastly different from mine! This was my day (yes because I was there over 4 hrs for a mani/pedi) I choose the combo 6 which includes a full pedicure with a regular manicure at $55. When I came in I saw a man seating slumped over in the waiting area asleep. I thought he was a customers husband. WRONG-he was a nail tech! the other nail tech were busy with clients this was approximately around 12:30 on Saturday. I was promptly seated after I choose my color and guess who was my tech. Yes Mr. Sleepy! As I got into the water, it was barely luke warm and I asked for him to heat it up. He did not respond. I asked again and noticed he smile and made gestures with his hand. So I thought maybe he was hard of hearing or something. Nope because just a few minutes later he spoke to the other nail tech in his native language. So hearing was not an issue-it was the fact he spoke NO English. There were a few female nail tech that would translate as needed. As he was performing the service I noticed that he was LOST in how to do a pedicure. Soaked, pointed to see if wanted my toes shaped, then put scrub on my legs, then massaged, then attempted to get the wax and then warm towel. I began to question him and he promptly got one the other nail techs to finish the pedicure. As she was performing the lack of services I was attempting to tell what I needed and noticed that she did not speak any English either. {Smiled a lot---and not to be rude--but it was startling---black something was all on her lower teeth.} (I do speak at two other languages including signing and unfortunately their language was not one) She painted my toes in the wrong color from which we tried to point it out. What did I want for my mani/pedi you ask--- I wanted two colors with some designs and that did not occur. Instead I got toes that were polished as if I did them! (Yes, that is not so good, I am terrible) the manicure was even more disastrous and I had to just leave. A couple of people who called ahead arrived and left after the salon could not service them in the time the salon said they would. Over promise and NO delivery of services. So these customers left with no services being performed. The male I perceived as the owner attempted to make the atmosphere more pleasant offered drinks-water, coke, wine etc to customers but it did not change the experience. All this happened while the same Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston songs- played over and over again (remember how long I was there) it had a scratch and someone would restart it. Maddening to say the least! The one positive the chairs for the pedicure did feel good even though for the rest of my experience it felt like amateur hour (cosmetology school with a student tech) and this salon spa did NOT live up the prior reviews!!! The photos on the reviews when I looked more closely were not as great on some photos-(I glanced over them when I initially was looking). I would not recommend Thunder Nails at ALL to anyone until things do change and for those who love their subpar service more power to you. I will not be one of those customers. You should at least get the service you pay for with the money you worked hard for because YOU pay for it. If I could give negative stars I would've to alert anyone who is willing to try this salon enter with a caution and hopefully your experience will be different from mine. (PLEASE READ BEFORE GOING) This place is awful I went there with my sister and after the long wait we told them what we wanted which was a basic maroon color with one nail with silver stripes and my sister wanted a maroon color with a Santa claws hat on one nail the lady doing my nails was constantly talking in Chinese to her friend and at one point they started laughing and once I asked what funny they replied with "NAILS NAILS SO PRETTY" and then left for 5 minutes just to walk to the side and talk to her friend in the middle of doing my nails then when she dipped my hand in "melted wax" it was not melted nearly enough but she was to busy talking to her friend to notice then when it came time to paint my nails she was rushing which resulted in nail Polish on my skin then she forgot all about the fact I wanted silver strips on my index finger I showed her what I wanted (which was incredibly easy) all she had to do was put like 2 silver strips on my finger but instead she put a flower on my finger and said go sit there to dry and then I sat at the dryer to dry next to my sister and after about 1 minute the lady came back and without saying anything picked up my hand which was not even close to dry and put some type of oil on my finger she did the same to my sister and once we got home both mine and my sisters nail chipped like not even an hour after leaving the salon. So, first of all - I really liked this place for a long time. I told everyone how great and reasonable priced they were, and how I loved getting my SNS dip nails done by some of the techs here. BUT, now I will mostly likely not be returning even g though I have a full discount card. One reason is they ran off the tech that did a great job on the dip nail and made them thin, and last three weeks. Another is because I went in last time to get a basic manicure and they burned the crap out of my hand forcing it in to hot wax! I told the guy that it was too hot and he grabbed my hand and said "No, it's not" and put my hand in. I immediately took it out and shook my hand and he raised his voice at me! Hello, it was hot! Then he decides somehow that rubbing the hot wax into my hand would he helpful? Needless to say, I immediately went to rinse it with cold water. No one acknowledged it and I had to pay to have myself burned. I wrote about it this on their Facebook and they have deleted the review. So professional. Also they're "selective" about who they offer drinks to, they'll offer to the person next to you, but won't offer one to you. Customer service needs work. I have been there twice lately and keep getting the wrong girl who does not want to use sterile tools but gets hers out of the drawer and pours alcohol on them which does not sterilize them. I asked her to get clean tools and she did with an ugly look on her face then opened them and put alcohol on them. She was very rough and did not do a good job! One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a nail salon...and I've been to many around the country. At least three different nail techs took personal calls on their cell phones while giving pedicures and manicures. Mine and my husband's tech being two of the three. And they each took two separate calls. The other nail tech took a call on speaker phone so we were all lucky enough hear the conversation. So many people talking at full voice and yelling across the salon at each other, both staff and clients...and it's not a large salon. I got the deluxe pedi with gel polish, so not the cheapest pedi...i hardly got much of a massage at all. She took my old gel polish off by pulling it off with clippers and then using the dremel file to get the rest. Never seen that before since it absolutely destroys your nails to do it that way. I used to enjoy this place until I went yesterday and was double charged for one pedicure then when I went back for them to correct it they wanted to act like they didn't want to correct it and give me my money back. Then try to act as if I was at fault for them double swiping my card. I will not be returning client. They have lost my business permanently. A warning for others always check your bank card after you've had a pedicure or any kind of services from this place. Six stars. Grew up in OKC moved to Atlanta, and visiting parents November 21, 2017. Came to Thunder nails because of the good reviews. They are Polite, clean friendly, a job well done. I didn't have to wait long at 3 pm ish. They even fixed a big toe nail ( I had dropped a brick on it 6 months ago and still oh so ugly). They put acrylic over it , just like a fingernail, and now it is not ugly, and looks normal. Very grateful. I will return. read more

If i could give this place less than one star i would. The customer service was TERRIBLE!! I was treated awfully and the lady managed to cut me four times and then put some weird nail alcohol on the cuts which made them burn! I felt like i was in WWII and was getting my fingers chopped off by the natzis !! The whole time i was there despacito was playing on repeat on full volume! I was transferred to three different women within ten minutes! The whole time i was not asked one question about what i want and if there was a question asked it was not asked in a friendly tone! There was a drunk man in the corner that was hitting on my friends (which were done by the time i got started)! I noticed a black spot on my nails and i pointed it out to the lady. THIS LADY HAS THE AUDACITY TO TELL ME THAT ITS FINE AND YOU CANT TELL ITS THERE!! I HAVE BEEN HERE FOR OVER AN HOUR AND I CANT EVEN GET MY NAILS DONE GOOD! My nails are so crooked that they couldn't even use the excuse that it's "just my finger"! The first time I went to the salon I had the same experience. I was seated on the opposite side of the salon, away from my friends when there was an empty chair next to them. I was transferred to different nail techs and they told me that they would not make my nails any shorter! When they were painting my nails, the nail tech messed up and blamed it on me!
