Also, the AMA requires it if all medical offices--it isn't optional for them to not require. Be kind to the staff: it is not their choice or decision. We are new and finding a pediatrician is a bit overwhelming as reviews are all over the place. To compound it, my kiddo was already sick and I needed to find someone ASAP. I was very impressed with St Alphonsus Pediatrics from start to finish. The receptionists were helpful, and the Dr we saw was great. Coming from out of state, I was used to very cold doctors always in a rush and making you feel awful for taking too much time. I was so grateful to NOT feel that way here. The whole staff was helpful from start to finish. I appreciate feeling that the doctor listened to what I said, and my concerns, without judgment, and she didn't make me feel stupid for my requests or questions. If you are looking for a doctor for your kid, I recommend this place.

It was around 4:15 and we hadn't been seen so I asked the front desk if they could confirm our appointment which they did and assured us we would see his Dr shortly. It was then after 4: 30 that we went back to a room. The nurse took his vitals and told us the Dr should be in any minute. At 4:50 I stuck my head out the door and didn't find anyone initially, but eventually found a nurse and she said that he will be in any second. At 5:15 we still have yet to see the Dr. I had my son get dressed again and we looked in the hallway and the lights were all turned out the computers were shut down and there was no one in the lobby area but a lady vacuuming! There was no one even there that we could tell that we were now late for his sisters ballet and would have to be leaving so I called the office and left a voice mail. The Dr called me back and apologized and wanted to schedule a new appointment right then. I was too upset at the time and told him that we needed to get home to try to get his sister ready to go to ballet (late). I called the office the next day to talk to an office manager and no one was available to take my call so the receptionist recorded my message and assured me that it was not acceptable and someone would be giving me a call back asap. A day goes by nothing. The next day some thing. I called the second time and again wasn't able to speak to an office manager. I again left a voicemail. A day goes by then another with no word. I finally call them to let them know that we would be leaving the practice as this wasn't a mistake, but a pattern of behavior.

I have never been Charged for so many "items above and beyond a well child check" prior to Primary…read moreHealth. We only came here to follow our pediatrician when saltzer closed, but we are not staying. We have had 5 (maybe 6) well child checks here, across my 3 kids... After 3 of these well child check visits (50-66%+) I was "surprise-billed." This is probably a huge issue everywhere to be honest, but it was never an issue for me prior to Primary, especially not at 50-66% of my visits... Of the 3 charges, I paid the one (after calling in to ask why) because I knew I had made the inquiry. One was waived after a few phone calls... But the most recent one was the breaking point... Our pediatrician pointed out, that for the first time in his life, my 9 year old had slightly crossed from the normal BMI range, into the "Overweight" BMI range. Her verbatim advice, that I am now paying $113 for, was "just means more movement and less treats like ice cream" . . . while we also discussed that at this age a growth spurt could be right around the corner which would drop him right back into the "normal" BMI... I have taken my kids to 26 annual well child checks, and the information discussed is literally their height and weight. But I was Never aware previously that the well child check was no longer a well child check if my kid's growth pattern had changed... aren't I literally using my insurance to have my kid's growth checked... After calling twice about this charge, it was confirmed to me that when your kid's BMI-range changes, they will be given a new diagnosis and you will be charged for an office visit. . . Parents need to feel safe going to a well child check - Drs should be required to say "this will be outside of your WCC if we continue to discuss it". - But they aren't require to say anything, instead, we as parents are required to sign that if our kid is treated for anything outside the scope of a WCC, we will pay for it. Slight changes to BMI being outside the scope of a WCC is beyond my patience. Hoping our new Pediatrician's office will do their part to stick within WCC visits when I go in for WCCs. Otherwise, I may be better off just paying for sports physicals and not using my insurance coverage for preventative appointments.

Recently I needed to ALSO find a provider with my own personal needs as a mom/women, and made an appointment with Erin Shumard. SHE WAS SO PATIENT, and truly listened to all my concerns/questions and didn't make me feel silly with not knowing certain things. I have had pretty horrible experiences in the past with doctors out of state, and so finding the right one that could understand that I'm a BIG BABY and just someone that didn't make me feel like another number was important. I feel so so so blessed to have found them! 10/5 stars.

There is a column on the side showing orthopedics and urology, a sign for OGA and a number to text for voice and swallow. Voice and swallow was close to what ENT would do so I texted them and never got a text back. I stood there for a few minutes then asked at the OGA who said to ask at the other location. We stood in line and by the time we reached the counter I was 10 minutes late and told to reschedule. That's when I saw the tiny number suite 200 A. I would have been right on time had they of put a sign out by the column where it could be seen not at the counter where people stand in front of it and you cannot see it from a far off. There was no way of knowing where suit 200 A was on that floor or that it was combined with the orthopedics and urology. Just very frustrated that I cannot get in for another 10 days.
