Upon arrival at Springfield MO airport (SGF), I checked in, got my car and walked to parking lot to pick up the car. It was a 2 seater! I walked back and talked to the staff. I said I reserved a Chrysler 300 (or similar) car, she stated that is what I received. I said there is a big difference between a 2 seater and a regular 5 seater sedan, especially when you tried to book a Chrysler 300. Her reply: "we can go round and round all day, that's what you reserved, that's what you got" I was told, at midnight, she can issue me a refund or take the car!! If you can, go next door and avoid Alamo and National (same office runs both). Go next door, better service! End of story: They rebooked me with a MID SIZE sedan at the SAME price!! Sorry, but I do not call that customer service! Terrible. Spoiled my whole weekend.

Whereas Dollar and Hertz and the other companies had big signs and were easy to spot the Alamo sign was minuscule by comparison, and set back to one side of the counter. What I can't forgive was the totally disinterested girl working the counter who appeared thoroughly irritated that I had the gall to show up to her counter to ask for my rental, when she clearly had more important text messages to pay attention to on her phone. The attitude rolling off her made me wonder if my daughter had a twin sister I was unaware of in Springfield.

Our house is off a dirt road, so the car is never brought back super clean. It will have normal dirt on the floor boards, but nothing insane. This has never been an issue. Today I returned a rental car I got Saturday. I had got a little Chevy spark for the "mystery vehicle". The car was in poor condition on the outside & inside wasn't clean when we picked it up. I ignored this given we're going off a dirt road. I get an updated agreement and they charged me $75 for cleaning on top of the $400 for the 5 day car rental of a piece of junk car! Don't rent from these shady people, they need to wash the car when it's returned anyway. The car was returned to without any trash left in it, or any new damage. I will be disputing the charge.
