They have cheap prices and the staff is great. Every time I go in there I come out with something. Please go there and support.

I picked out a REAL Michael Kors bag that was only $8. But the fake bags they had marked at $50 a piece. I can understand paying $50 for a used real bag. But not for a fake one. I asked if they knew they were fake (based on the price not matching what it is) and the manager got super hostile with me and claimed it doesn't matter because that's what they sell fake bags at the store for. Uhhh it's illegal to sell fake bags in real stores so I don't know what kind of stores she's talking about in Decatur but in big cities you can only buy fake bags on the street corner. You can't even buy them on Facebook marketplace anymore. LOL Anyway, the woman was just so overly rude when I was just trying to ask about the prices. I really didn't understand why the attitude? I don't come to goodwill to be screamed at in front of the entire store where other customers in line are asking me what happened. Goodwill perpetuates itself as a "charity" but the customers like me that travel all over the country going to these places get treated like garbage? I don't think so. Get a grip goodwill manager. Oh I just noticed that they double charged me for a $9 item. When I was checking out I asked the cashier twice if I could wrap the porcelain items I got, which she got out paper for so after she rang a few up I took them and wrapped them. But then when she finished ringing all of them up I didn't get to wrap them and she was just throwing them in the bag all together. I had to ask a third time to wrap them because I said the paint was really fragile and she was just like "oh".

I started a new job this year, after years of working from home, my office wardrobe needed a serious refresh, but with the inflation of clothing prices I had to rely on buying second-hand. Once you are a Woman of a Certain Age, you can't get away with cheap and cheerful, plus, quality is better constructed, so the fit and wear is better. Second Life was an essential to me: I found Cole Hahn and AVL leather flats (almost unworn), numerous silk blouses (Marchesa Voyage, Annie Griffin), two silk skirts (one bespoke, the other from Anthropologie), dresses, jackets, a string of cultured pearls, Chicos and Eileen Fisher trousers - oh, and my last trip there, I actually scanned the books, and the selection is equally good there. Prices are higher than your average thrift, but, as you can see, so is the merchandise. It's always fair, and they run sales on the regular. I've been inspired to start putting aside some of my almost unworn or lightly worn clothes so that I can contribute to this community treasure, and keep the cycle going. This shop reminds me of everything I love about Avondale Estates / Decatur / Scottsdale / Clarkston.

Since I had a Friday off and nothing to do , I made the drive to the other side of town to check out this spot. I am going to make it quick, I did not find anything worth purchasing. As is the case of most thrift stores in today's economy the prices don't align with the items being used. In this case , the clothing items appear to be very worn. I only saw a few items that were in decent shape. However, the brands they carry just don't align with the price point. I would say if you are in the area, stop in, you may have better luck than I did!

It's a large open space (think warehouse) with racks on racks on racks of items. Upon entry, I was immediately overwhelmed and considered leaving. I'm glad I pushed thru the desire to run away. To make it manageable for my brain, I decided to just tour the store to see what was in there and then lock in on one item (women's dresses and skirts) I would look through. I left with four unique clothing items for $18 and some change. Two of the items I purchased had blue price tags and blue was one of the colors of the day that was 50% off. However, I learned that if I shopped on a different day, the items with those color cards would've just been $.99 a piece, so I could've gotten out of there with the same items for even cheaper on the right day. Sort of like any store, at the checkout lane, there is shelving with small items you could grab. Many of those things were like party decorations that were unopened and brand new in the package.
