This store has been redone. It's really nice. Very, very organized. EVEN THE BOOKS!! Lots more stuff than it used to have. Longer hours (now open on Monday). They are having a grand re-opening now. 3 stars for organization and service. WOW! This may be the highest priced thrift store I've been to. Seems like they're marking prices higher than full retail. I've seen some items there that I've bought retail that are double at this Value Village. I've shopped several times since the new owner to give it a chance. I won't go back. Annoyed bc I before making my purchase I asked the cashier what was the return policy she informed me that I had 7 days and the tag must be attached to the item. I said okay cool and proceeded to pay after taking my payment she continues to go on and say that I can only exchange there're no cash refunds. THIS IS IT CHIEF! WANT CLOTHING? How about a filthy, stained gaping HOLE puffer coat? Only $46.69! What about a now "off brand" vintage jacket that's been piled close to death? Environment feels safe and friendly. Store Associates are knowledgeable about products and are eager to serve customers. People might give thrift stores a bad rap. My thing is, I would seek those thrift stores out and shop there. Why? Because I like slightly tacky, old, unfound clothes that the 'normal' shopper would hiss at. That's right. I like the Memorial Value Village because it is just that. No one in my subculture goes there, therefore I find gems. GEMS. Gems guys, vintage dresses, cool t-shirts, rad shoes, the best of the best. I can spend hours here. Its my 'secret' spot. SUPER cheap! I always come out with a treasure! I have found old trophies that make AMAZING gag gifts for about 40 cents, business suits in my size for about $10, brand names like Anne Klein, Banana Republic, and I've bought a lot for my little niece there as far as clothing. TONS to look through. Be prepared to spend some time but very little money and I'm sure you'll find a great trinket. The furniture prices don't seem discounted at all. The clothing, housewares, and stuff behind the glass counters are always full of great items. The staff is super friendly and nice too. read more

I visit this Value Village location probably once a year or so as it's not near anything I typically need to go to. I've never been disappointed, however, and always leave the store with something in hand. This past visit I came on a Wednesday and found that most of the store was 50%, excluding furniture. It was a freaking madhouse. To get through the aisles, to look at the rack you wanted to, to check out...just a ton of people looking for a deal. It took me a good 15 minutes in line because of the shear amount of stuff people had in their carts. I went to another Value VIllage about a month ago and found that they had the same deal on a Wednesday. Not sure if all the locations in Atlanta do this, but it is a really great bargain on already affordable stuff. I walked out with 5 shirts - 2 of which were a New York Jets jersey and a local hockey jersey - all for $5. Personally, I enjoy the clothing selection the most at this location. Tons and tons of racks. I've also found a unique table to hold my record player and records some years ago. read more

Went to this thrift store and was pleasantly surprised how much stuff they had. And their prices are very low especially if u get the 50% tag items of the day. They also said the allow returns sign they don't have a fitting room on site. Which is awesome most places all sales are final. read more

It's the luck of the draw with any thrift store, but with the surrounding area being lower economical, it means that the items donated are already of low quality. The lines for check out were each 20+ people deep but that didn't get the numerous employees that were idly chatting to open more lanes. read more

Hell yeah! I found a flat screen and a keyboard for my computer and they both came out to 12 bucks! I put together a Linux box for practice at home and this is the place to get cheap computer parts and Ethernet cables. I even found a smoothy blender for 6 bucks! This is gonna be one of my thrift stores for real. read more

This store is a really good place to shop. It is very inexpensive, and you can find items with a good value for cheap.My favorite day is the half price off, when everything is 50% off.It can get pretty crowded, but its totally worth it. This is an average thrift store. Many items I wouldn't wear and a few that were very cute. I filled my cart with clothing...but couldn't find a dressing room. Being a curvy lady, it takes trying on a lot of outfits in order to find one which looks flattering and fits me properly. Turns out, this store doesn't have to a place for you to try on clothes before purchase!! Their policy is that you can return clothes for store credit-only within 7 days of purchase with your original receipt. It isn't reasonable to repeatedly return outfits until I find something which fits. Maybe I'm cheap or old-fashioned because I believe in making sure clothes fit before spending money. Either way, because of this store's policy, I won't shop here. read more

First of all the place smells, like old dirty socks. Clothes are sorted by color not size, so you basically have to sort through everything to find your size. I don't have that kind of time or patience. I'm sure there are plenty of good finds but sorting by size would save a lot of time. Also something I found disturbing were used wigs hanging on the back wall! How sanitary is that?? Disgusting!! You probably have to be a real flea market junkie to enjoy this place. To whom it may concern. Hello, I am a frequent patron of your business (usually the Marietta/ Cobb Parkway Store). Today I attended your Decatur Store ( Value Village #7 3503 Memorial Dr Decatur, GA 30032 770-840-7283 ) and experienced the WORST treatment I've ever had at any business. It all started when I'd first entered the Decatur Store. As I walked in the store I'd noticed a Worker (whom I later understood to be Manager Daniel ) standing at the front of the store discussing out loud with the security lady of how he takes joy in catching thieves at the store. We then made eye contact as I searched for the Men Clothing, and instead of a greeting or maybe asking if I needed help, he instead stared at me with the look of SUSPICION. I then walked the opposite way of Daniel in search for an employee that I thought could point me in the direction of the Men Clothing. I was then directed to the Men Clothing by another employee. As I checked out the clothing that I intended on purchasing I noticed that I was being watched the entire time by Daniel while he discussed out loud his encounter with a potential thief in the store. I then made the decision to purchase 9 PIECES of clothing and decided to proceed towards the register. At this point I will say that I might have been in the store for about 15 minutes, and as I was being watched by Daniel the entire time I over heard him trade stories with the security of lady of how frequently he catches thieves and how proud he is of that skill. As I walked up to make my purchase of my chosen items, I'd notice that the path to the register was blocked by Daniel and the Security lady, which I had to say "excuse me", before the Security Lady reluctantly took one step to the side as they both ( Daniel & the Security )stared me down as they carry on with their stories of encountering thieves at the store. As I approached the register, another level of my ill treatment kicked in, I was then rudely instructed by Jodi or "Cashier: jdelp - Register # 1 to remove the HANGERS from the 9 Pieces of Clothing and place them on the RACK behind me (Per Jodi aka jdelp Register # 1 - "you need to take the hangers of the clothes and put them on the rack"). And as she rung me up she too carried on a conversation with another male employee standing at the Register (Per Jodi aka jdelp Register # 1 - "do you miss me? Do you? Do you miss seeing my face? I know you miss me" ) as she scanned the items I intended on purchasing. Furthermore, I was finally given my total to which I'd used my debit card to make the purchased. As I walked out the door, I heard some banging on the glass wall, and as I turned around to inquire I realized I was being pursued by Daniel, the Security lady, and Jodi (jdelp Register # 1). As I turned to asked what they'd needed, Daniel then proceeded to make the comment "Man... I was so ready to chase you down! I thought you was stealing" (I FELT VERY INSULTED BY THE COMMENT). I returned to the store and realized that Jodi (jdelp Register # 1) had made a mistake and gave me the wrong receipt. This is the WORST treatment I've ever experienced at any business, and I'll suggest you do something about those 3 extremely rude and unprofessional employees (Manager Daniel , Jodi / jdelp Register # 1 and the Security) of yours if you care anything about customer service. I love Value Village. I am so, so happy that they built one near me. I can't show my appreciation enough. The only way I can is by shopping there as much as possible. I have went to every value village in the U.S. when I go on trips. Including the stores in Canada. I love you guys so much. I have shopped in many thrift stores & Never had to write a review, let alone one like this! But, I think consumers should know this one!!! Purchased a cashmere long coat from lawrenceville value village, with a tear around the pocket(not a seam, but the fabric). Thought it could be repaired, since paid nothing for the coat. Decide not to repair... Take the coat to memorial drive, because its closer to where I live. special trip to store to ask if I could bring the coat there for refund or exchange. (Told by a manager, only an exchange). Returned a few weeks later and manager wrote out voucher for cost of coat ($6.29). To my surprise went back to the store looking thru the coats, cashmere coat was there still ripped and now tagged @ $16.29, WOW thats interesting!!!! A month later, go to same store to use the voucher. Only to find I needed to use it the day I returned the coat. Spoke with manager... (thought it was the same guy that gave me the voucher). He snapped at me that "he wasn't the one who wrote it". At this point I'm thinking ..Customer Svc, SUCKS!! He further informed me that I had to use it that day. I told him It would have been nice if the person who gave it to me would have told me that. Rather than watch me walk from the counter out of the store. How would I know store policy!!! He insisted that I could not use it. Again, UGLY Cust Svc...Since I was getting no where, is this worth $6.29? Oh well, can u say "Store donation". I left the voucher and the store. Now, lets tally up.... Value village received a damaged coat (purchased like that, mind you) listed at $6.29 - marked it up to $16.29 and refused to allow me to use my voucher worth $6.29 = these people made a cool $22.58 off of damaged goods. I find that incorrect.... Run from Memorial Drive location - FIND ANOTHER VALUE VILLAGE TO purchase with your hard earned money!!! Crooks.... read more
