This review is long overdue. I hope it reaches everyone considering hiring Bill Thresher & helps them make an informed decision based on our experience from both a professional and personal experience.
I want to preface that I am writing this months later, because I was too sick & freshly postpartum. This is truly long overdue, I hope nothing like this has happened to anyone else since our experience with Bill.
My husband was referred to Bill's company through a friend while living in Utah County. At the time, I was experiencing a severely debilitating pregnancy complicated by hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), requiring home health care. We had a newborn, bills to pay, & were simply looking for consistent work to get us through the winter until my husband & said friend could resume running their own business in the spring.
Unfortunately, my husband began experiencing a sudden reduction in work hours. We eventually had to move because the work was no longer providing the stability we needed. Although the circumstances were difficult, we initially chose not to assume the worst. We tried to extend grace, knowing Bill was also dealing with personal challenges at the time.
What ultimately changed my perspective was a phone call in which Bill accused my husband of stealing from a client's home. During that call, Bill claimed there was video footage & stated that the client intended to take the matter to court. My family & I heard the accusation firsthand.
Given the seriousness of what was being alleged, we asked to see the footage so we could understand what had happened & determine whether there had been a misunderstanding. Bill did not provide it.
We were left dealing with an accusation of theft without being given the opportunity to review the evidence we had been told existed. Regardless of what Bill believed had happened, I believe an accusation this serious deserves to be handled responsibly, with clear communication and supporting evidence.
This situation added unnecessary stress to an already devastating period in our lives. I was navigating a medically difficult pregnancy and its aftermath, we were caring for a new baby, and my husband was trying to keep our family financially afloat. Instead of simply moving forward and finding stable work, we were left trying to make sense of a serious accusation that was never adequately resolved from our perspective.
I understand that every business has its own challenges, and I recognize that there may be circumstances I am unaware of. However, that does not negate our experience or the impact it had on our family.
I'm sharing this because I wish we had known how things would unfold before getting involved. I encourage anyone considering working with this business to ask questions, establish clear expectations, and keep records of important conversations and employment arrangements.
People deserve to be treated fairly and professionally, especially when their livelihood and reputation are at stake. Our experience with Bill fell short of those expectations, and I would not feel comfortable recommending him based on what our family went through. read more
