This school deserves the lowest possible rating...and this is coming from a mother who is a former teacher and relatively forgiving when it comes to "kid" issues. I never imagined we would have to pull my son out of a preschool after barely a month, but I felt like we had no choice (and I was not alone...several other parents followed suit in the months after, I only found out because I ran into them around Weston)! My son was the youngest in his class last year, put into a "mixed age" room with children who were generally much older- 5 and 6 years old in most cases. I'll spare you the chronological accounts of what happened, but to be blunt, my son was picked on by older kids about things he couldn't help (not knowing how to do activities on his own, spilling food on himself, making messes in the bathroom merely months after potty training, etc.) He developed a horrible case of ringworm that spread throughout our family, he lost hair on top of his head...he contracted this at Three Village. There was an outbreak and I was furious that parents weren't alerted and the principal was of no help in answering questions. I found out about the outbreak from other parents in the parking lot! My son came home with scratches, welts, and unbelievable stories daily. Again, teachers and principal shrugged me off repeatedly. My son began acting aggressively and telling me stories about fighting with the older boys...I cannot even begin to describe the lack of accountability and completely ambivalence. I was always given the excuse that Montessori method forbids teacher interaction and therefore they don't intervene...it's garbage, I know Montessori well, I'm the product of Montessori and a teacher myself. I was never able to meet with or talk to any faculty, they blew me off over and over again. After the ringworm, his behavioral changes, and the safety concerns, we pulled him out and placed him in a school where he is now incredibly happy and much safer. There's a reason Three Village's numbers are dwindling...they seriously need to reevaluate their methods, relations with parents, and the required age of students. I only know one other parent who left his child at Three Village for the remainder of the year, and this year he has enrolled him elsewhere due to the lack of attention of the faculty. Unbelievable. I wish I'd never considered this place for my son. read more
