They took great care of our little girl for almost 2 years! My spouse and I both work (he works from home and I'm in the military) so when our daughter turned 1, we enrolled her at lil' rascals to help alleviate the workload at home. As any new mom, i was beyond anxious to "send her to a stranger" but I was so glad we found lil' rascals. I believe her teachers genuinely love their students, and seeing my daughter interact with them, I knew she loved them too. Lil' rascals also was extremely helpful with my military childcare subsidy program. It's a lot of paperwork and keeping track but between them and my husband, they were super easy to work with and very understanding (govt money can take some time to get there). Now that my child is no longer attending Lil Rascals, I felt it is time to write a review. I have had experience for daycare, VPK, summer camp & aftercare. While we did not have a horrible experience we did not have a stellar one. The last straw was definitely the Director (who had been there our daughter's entire tenor) left without any notice to the parents (she knew she was leaving). This was very emotional for our daughter since this director claimed to "love" our child and I had to explain sometimes people you love leave. Daycare: Our daughter was relatively happy. They have early drop off and 6pm pick up, so it makes it very convenient for working parents. We started at 4 yrs old so I can't speak for the baby rooms. They started on the road to learning and preparing the kids for VPK VPK: We felt that the VPK program was very good and prepared our daughter for kindergarten. The teachers genuinely cared about our daughter and she had a good experience. Summer: the summer between VPK and K, the kids continued learning to insure they didn't forget what they learned in VPK. They also had a lot of in house activities and a once a week field trip. The school age kids went on field trips M-Th. and had themed days on Fridays. All in all it was a good experience for the VPK to K transition summer. Aftercare: aftercare...during my daughter's first year of aftercare it was okay. The kids are mixed from kindergarten to the oldest school age. I was not thrilled about this. The room also had about 2 college aged teachers watching all of the kids. They worked on homework with the kids, however, it was extremely loud and chaotic. At the end of the school year the assistant director left (quite abruptly) and was not replaced until very recently. During our 2nd year, our experience did not improve. Pick up from our daughter's school was delayed due to the lack of help. She got out of school at 2 and did not arrive at Lil Rascals until after 3 pm. Cons: turn over of staff is horrible. When we finally left only 2 staffers were still there from when we started. We were only there 3 years. One was a VPK teacher and the other was the woman who took care of the food, cleaning, ect. They are not responsive to communication and don't "own" anything. They raise the cost every session and also added a fee for paying by credit/debit card. They put zero money back into the school and zero money into their staff and any enrichment for them. Summary: I would say yes to this place for toddler & VPK...no to aftercare. read more

Not good at ALL. They want kids that don't make much noise the school is quiet most of the time . They want well behaved kids that they don't have to talk to at all . The teachers only speak Spanish the English is terrible. My family was kicked out because my youngest son at the time was 5 years old gotten referrals written up on him if your kid get 3 they have rights to kick you out I never knew about this plus the parents must sign referral but in my case I never received them I seen them everyday and not one person telling me or my husband my child jump off the Picnic table and got an referral wow ...so the referrals was for jumping off the picnic tables outside during playtime twice and 1 for not wanting to put toys up when asked he still wanted to play I was never informed with any of this information until the day they called and told me my son slapped a teacher in her face wow really I asked who was the teacher guess what no teacher wouldn't tell me her name or can I speak to her or apologize nothing she can't tell me nothing they will lie on your kid they already know who they want at their school and if you don't fit it you out one way or another I can only speak for the Weston location My son looked at Director which is the Indian lady in her face and said I didn't hit anyone and started crying my 6 year old who had a speech delay at the time which they was aware of also told her it wasn't true I truly don't believe it happened also nothing adds up no teacher to talk to plus my other son said he didn't hit nobody and they was always together. read more

As the school year is ending, I have to say that it has been a great year for my son! He was in Mrs. Rosa's VPK class. He loved going to school everyday! I never thought twice about leaving him there everyday. From the door code, to sign in sheets, Bright Wheel App check-ins, I always felt so comfortable with Lil Rascals. Throughout the year they had many beautiful events where the parents were invited to attend as well. Natalia at the front desk was always so kind in answering any questions and was so concerned if my son was out sick. The graduation ceremony was amazing! They went above & beyond. My son is so sad to leave his Lil Rascals class, especially his teachers, behind. And we loved it so much that my younger son is starting VPK in the Fall! Thanks for a great year! read more

My daughter started at Lil Rascals in March of this year. I can honestly say that I visited other daycares/schools in the area and chose them because it just felt right. Within 2 weeks my daughter and I got over the usual separation anxiety. Yes, she did get sick, but to be expected at 3 years old. The teachers and caretakers are AMAZING!! They are so calm with the children and constantly post pictures through an app they use. My daughter constantly yells out "I love my school mommy!". It's hard to find someone you can trust with your child, especially if they have never been to daycare like my child. Check them out! read more

Both my daughters are at Lil rascals academy and they started August 2017. The little one was 1 year old and the older one was 3 when they started. I placed my baby(1 year old) at the toddler's room. The first couple days were very tough because she had separation anxiety, not eating at all and besides the nap time she would cry all day. The teachers paid close attention to her and on the 3rd day of my 1 year old being placed at the toddlers room they advised me and my husband maybe the environment at the babies classroom would be more appropriate for her since all is so new and so we did. Kept her there for a couple of weeks until she was ready for the toddlers class. I liked the fact that the teachers showed that they truly cared about my baby and when it was time to transition to the toddlers class they told us so. She is now 2 and smiles and hugs her teacher every morning she goes in. My 3 year old, had a slow start because of trying to get used to a new school and a new teacher, but with Miss Ruby's care and attention she got over that phase and enjoyed the whole year. She will start tomorrow the VPK and we see her being super exited about that. The reason I put 4 stars instead of 5 is only because of the high turnover of teachers especially in the babies, toddlers class which it makes it hard sometimes for your kid to adjust to. But other than this I would definitely recommend the place. read more

My three month old daughter started there March 3, 2014 till I SAW the "care giver" covering.. Not one, not two, but... three infants faces with the baby's own blanket, two were put in the swings and the other was put into a bouncer where her face was covered and bounced with the "care giver's" foot, while she played candy crushed on her cell phone When I told Miss Heather the "director", her fake concern said it all. How my kids and I miss Lil Rascals!!! We moved to CA and haven't yet found a comparable preschool to date. The office manager, director and teachers were exceptional! Ms. Patricia and Ms.Kelly were especially special to our oldest son. They received a great education from a loving, experienced, nurturing and kind staff. The facilities are well maintained and the children get to spend time outdoors in a great, secured play area as well! Security was another bonus! Very convenient because they have early hours and closes at 6pm. The only thing I didn't like is that the staff changed frequently. There are no long term employees. My son has been going there for 8 years and we have seen many teachers and office staff come and go. Once my son go use to a teacher, they would leave. read more

This was the worst pre school ever. Couldn't wait to get my son out of there. The only reason i stuck it out the entire year was because I had already transferred him from another VPK program (due to location) and family central would not pay if I transferred him again. Yes, my son learned his basic ABC's and 123's. He also watched a ton of movies, was outside in hot hot hot weather, he learned how to hit and how to misbehave. My child was by no means an angel, but their overcrowding, lack of supervision and lack of structured playtime led to a lot of problems. The teachers were nice, but also seemed quite frustrated and overwhelmed. The woman at the front was always on the phone with personal calls and when you can get her attention, you could barely understand her due to her very thick accent. As a matter of fact, she was the low light of the vpk graduation as she gave a speech and also announced the children leaving half the audience looking really confused. I do not recommend this school at all and wish I would have kept my son at Chesterbrook Academy in Pembroke Pines. That was a real school and not one that pretends to be one. read more
