My family and I were relocated to Weston, Florida back in 2013, and we immediately began searching for an elementary school for our daughter.  After a few unsuccessful visits to local public and private schools, we ended up at Sagemont's Lower School Campus in Weston.  Within thirty minutes of touring the facility and conversing with the staff, I not only made the decision to send my four year old to Pre-K at Sagemont, but I decided to enroll my other daughter into Preschool as well.  My wife looked at me sideways because up until that moment, we hadn't even discussed my youngest enrolling in school prior to our visit!   We made the decision to entrust Sagemont with our two daughters for three reasons.  First, we felt like the curriculum and philosophy of Sagemont's program was very progressive.  My wife, as a former educator, recognized many current teaching methodologies, tools and processes utilized in education today.  Secondly, the staff and administration of the school demonstrated a sincere commitment to our children's progress both academically and emotionally.  And finally, Sagemont felt like a Community, a place where both our girls could learn, mature and grow in an environment with significant parental involvement complementing the support from the schools staff.   My girls are now headed into Fourth Grade and Second Grade (yes, time flies), and we couldn't be more happy with our decision. Sagemont Prep School is not just a school, but rather a comprehensive educational experience. When you mention the word school, the mind goes immediately to academics. The Sagemont curriculum is both challenging and flexible. Small class sizes allow teachers to focus and cater to the individual needs of each student. Materials and lessons morph as students progress. The willingness of the staff to create challenging lessons that engage students is top notch. Students are encouraged to take an active role in learning through centers, discussions and projects. In other programs, electives are an afterthought. This is not the case at Sagemont Prep. I would absolutely recommend Sagemont's Lower School. This is my daughter's first year at Sagemont. She is in Pre-K with Ms. Teran and it is amazing to see my daughter's growth this year. My daughter is the youngest in her class, so I was a little worried that she would be behind in her learning. However, in just one month of school I could already see she learned so much! She could identify all her letters by sight and write her first and last name. The same thing happened with her numbers, counting, adding and substracting. Additionally, she learned how to draw properly and color within the lines. She is also learning various sight words and is on track to learn how to read on her own which is exciting as she loves books. Ms. Teran is a very dedicated teacher. I love the creativity that she puts into the activities she does with the children which makes it interesting for the kids to learn. She is very approachable and willing to help and collaborate with parents. I am so happy she is my daughter's teacher. I would wholeheartedly recommend Sagemont's Lower School. It is a great place if you are looking for a school where your child will receive individualized attention with a small teacher to student ratio. What a horrible experience we had! At first, the school administration was kind, helpful, and understanding of our child's learning difficulties and bullying experiences. Before the end of the first week we received a call stating that our child was not welcomed back to class. No reason was given. I then had to explain to our child that they were not allowed to return. Our child was heartbroken! We had to search for schooling with the year having started, classes full, and a learning environment that would uplift a low self-esteem child. It took a month...a month of missed education, of disappointment with school after school filled, of trying to understand what our child did wrong. To date, Sagemont has not provided any reasoning, has not returned any of over $2500 entry fees, and caused our child's scholarship funding to be unpayable the first quarter. In our experience and opinion, it's about money and being a "normal" child. Update: After reaching out to Sagemont and sharing my concerns two weeks later and 1 day after this review was shared, I did receive a refund check for the original registration/new student fees. I am thankful that they at least did that but it still did not help our child understand and still left a financial strain due to the lost scholarship aide for the quarter and additional schooling fees. read more

I was on serious pain in my life all around my body besides my GOD YAHWEH, I couldn't find no one to support me. after all me and my wife made a phone call to SageMont School Academy, they excepted our son for us. Every since then they welcome us to the school and in to the neighborhood and we fall in love with them since then. SageMont Staffs makes me believe sometimes my son is far more better being with them instead to be with me. i do believe in that, because they are teachers, and where there's teachers, " I meant good teachers" your child should be comfortable and you should too. i can tell the whole World about that school for their children, yes it's a private school but it worth it. my message for all the teachers at SegeMont Academy is to stays like you've already been or become awesome more and more. You see, sometimes life does not make sense and though the waves of change you will find your true direction for your greatness. Our daugther did a pre-preschool year in France (for 2 years old) when she arrived in preschool at SAGEMONT last december. the welcome was warm and my daughter loved to go to her new school. The level was hight but her teacher did a so great job that our daughter quiclky had the level of the other students (who were 7 in a classroom which help to give, in my opinion, a personnal teaching to our daughter). Less than 1 year later, in august, I applied for the 2nd school in the nation (American Heritage) who asked for my daughter to sit for a test. She did so well that she had 99/100: imagine, a few months ago, she was in a french system. This is thanks to SAGEMONT who helped my daughter to get this level. The teaching is so good that we decided to continue with SAGEMONT, and because of the family atmosphere of this school (6 children in PreK, large and clear classrooms, a preK teacher, MRs CLDERON who call or text when my daughter is sick and good level to pass test!) read more

When reviewing summer camp options for my two children, it is difficult not only because we want to make sure our kids have a good summer experience but also that they are being engaged in activities that foster continued growth and learning. We chose Sagemont for these reasons. However, this review is for the administrative staff and the director of the camp's activities, Sean Leonardo. As we know, things can happen during any organization that deals with children and the daily logistics of their programs. It's not necessarily that it happened but what the organization does to try and correct and how they respond to feedback. I reached out to Sean with my experience and was met with empathy, understanding and immediate corrective action. I was amazed with his timely action and response. Kudos to you Sean. This school year 2020-2021 was a difficult decision in regards to placement for my child. Although we value her educational experience we didn't feel comfortable sending her to school. Sagemont gave us the best option possible by enrolling in their virtual program. It has been such a positive experience for us. Her first grade teacher, Mrs. Grove, has gone above and beyond to make my child feel welcomed and included. Mrs. Grove has been extremely responsive and has helped guide us all in this new virtual learning experience. Although we are not physically in school, our daughter feels she is just a part of her class as those attending in person. She ended each day happy and excited for the next lesson. I have observed some of the classes and Mrs. Grove truly engages her online learners as well as those in her classroom. Such a terrific balancing act! Sagemont is an excellent school and I couldn't have chosen a better school for my daughter. The curriculum is liberal arts based and excellent. There is a good balance between science, reading, math, writing and art and music with plenty of enrichment activities available. The after school enrichment activities are phenomenal. If you want your child to learn and have fun after school before going home or to play sports or whatever, Sagemont has something for every student from sports to science, chorus, baking and languages. The Head of School, Dr. Mockrish and the principle of the Lower School Ms. Vigna believe in balancing life and school so while there is a times homework it is not in anyway burdensome, too much or too often. The staff are extremely professional and friendly, and almost like an extension of your family. The class sizes are small and the teachers are excellent. We are very happy to have made the decision to come to the Sagemont school. We have a son going to 4th grade and a daughter going to 2nd grade. This is our 3rd year in the school. Once you join the school you are really part of a family. There is a big sense of community here. Every single staff member knows who my kids are. The curriculum is excellent. They personalize learning inside the classrooms and they focus on the whole child. They also focus on problem solving and critical thinking as part of the curriculum. The character education is amazing and you can tell the kids are raised to be good kids here. I also even visited the upper campus and was impressed by the robotics, pre-professional internships giving the students real life experience, mock trial classes, AP capstone program and a very impressive college counselor program. read more

My daughter has attending Pre K and now Kinder at Sagemont and the difference I have seen in her socially and educationally has been huge. she went from a shy 4 year old with no friends to a social butterfly with a handful of very sweet and loving friends. The staff and teachers go above and beyond to make sure everyone feels welcomed and seen, it literately feels like a big family to both my daughter and I, which I feel like it's the most priceless thing about this school. Academically my daughter has grown so much as well, learning how to read with Mrs Teran and now improving so much in math and writing with Mrs Batlle. We are very happy at Sagemont Lower School. Since day one we felt welcomed by the staff and the other families. Class sizes are small, teachers well prepared and easy to talk to. The curriculum is competitive, however the small class size minimizes the risk of a student falling behind. Additionally, there is a good selection of extracurricular activities. What we really appreciate is the easy access to any staff, including the principal. We were pleased to witness an almost seamless transition to distance learning during the Covid-19 situation, with the teachers going above and beyond to ensure content delivery, and seized the opportunity for unique experiences such as an interactive Kenya safari (live via YouTube) thus maintaining their students engaged. read more

As a Mexican family, we came to Weston without knowing which school would be the best for our daughters, we did our search and thanks God we found this amazing school. We were looking for a school with a familiar environment, small enough to feel a part of, not just a number, not just a name. My daughters are so happy there, the teachers are awesome, they really love and enjoy their jobs and that's something hard to find. The principal is UNIQUE, she knows each and every student's name, she always listen if you have a concern and she's always there if you have something to share. This is our 3rd year at Sagemont Prep and we now have 3 children enrolled from Preschool to 2nd grade. Our youngest just started Preschool and what an amazing transition it has been. She has become more confident and social since she began. All 3 of our children love going to school each day. They have formed amazing friendships with their peers and strong relationships with their teachers and administration. This is my son 2nd Year at Sagemont and I'm delighted to say that it is an amazing learning experience , Teachers and Staff are always attentive personally and academically, I like to recognize ALL the teachers they have made an extraordinary job with the students.
