Presentation for our wedding catering was ABSOLUTELY NOT what I paid them for or agreed on. No sauce. No garnish. No presentation effort

I really was hoping to give 3T a raving review. However they did me in one too many times. I will not share it all but a couple thinks that still wrk me. I went through 3 account managers and communication was bad. So much so they sent me an invoice 50 ppl over our guest count after I had asked for revisions 5 times over the span of a month. My last day of contact went to another event day of wedding and didn't even mention to me that she wouldn't be there until the night before. LARGEST point that I would like to share is that the food they served me at my tasting and then the food my guests were served the day of was sooo incredibly disappointing compared to what I thought 3t would deliver. The photos below were for my mother in law and sister (2 people they should be trying to impress ) The apps (that I don't have photos of) were not what I ordered at all. I was embarrassed at what came out to be truthful. It looked like a naked piece of chicken with Mayo squirted down it when it was supposed to be a honey citrus chicken with herbs and a fennel sauce. I told 3T so many times that presentation was my biggest care about. And as you can see, I was not heard. When I called the owner to express my feelings and show him these photos, he told me that my opinion was subjective and several chefs he would ask would say that my tasting experience and day of were equal. Please take my opinion into account before planning your wedding with 3T. Some of their staff was lovely the day of, and the owner really does have a big heart. The food at the tasting was delicious. From the looks of their website and this page, it looks like they do wonderful work. However, I did not receive that and did not feel heard after investing in this company for the most important event I will ever host. I share the info above so that you are aware of the lack of communication and delivery before making final decisions on your wedding caterer.

I used Three Tomatoes to cater my wedding at the Denver Clock Tower in April and I couldn't have been happier with the results. Abby, our event coordinator, was excellent to work with. Starting with creating the initial menu and suggesting different options, to coordinating the rentals (e.g table linens, glassware), to suggesting decor and layout options. She is great to work with and goes out of her way to make sure you are satisfied. Day of, all the food was presented beautifully and was placed exactly where we discussed. (If your unfamiliar with the D&F Clock Tower, there are 5 floors you have the option of using for a reception. This means food is typically spread throughout the venue as a "progressive style" of eating.) Although my husband and I weren't able to enjoy much of the food day of, we did receive several compliments from our guests on the taste of the food. If your looking for a catering company and an exceptional event coordinator , look no further than Abby & Three Tomatoes.

The driver who cut me off

One of your drivers ran me off the road at Santa Fe and Evans on 9/10/2020 @1:35 pm. I attempted to call and couldn't get an answer and the voicemail was full. The driver was distracted on her phone. I have two horses in my trailer and she endangered myself and them. I am pulling a 50 foot rig so she had to of seen me. I wouldn't do business with someone who drives dangerously and has a total disregard for others safety!

I am from Denver but live in CA currently and am planning from afar. Sent an incredibly detailed inquiry with day-of event timeline by hour, menu ideas, location (just a few blocks from their prep kitchen) and a bit about the event. Received two separate responses from he and his wife, Holly, seeking details already provided in my initial inquiry like guest count, location, time. Sent several emails back and forth clarifying capabilities, menu ideas, rentals etc. and finally had to set up a call in October (initiated by me after many proposal mistakes) to align. There was constant confusion regarding the style of the event and rentals - TBH, the many proposal revisions due to their mistakes maybe should have been the hint this might not be the best fit. But we went ahead! Terrence was late to the call on October 15 but let me know ahead of time and I genuinely didn't have an issue with it. After aligning, I paid $100 to have a menu tasting on Monday, December 22 when my husband and I would be visiting Denver from CA. So, this is a tasting that has been on the calendar for at least a month. When we arrived at our tasting (after confirming via email the week before and day of) 15 minutes before (6:45p) the scheduled time of 7pm, Terence is irate. Mistakenly, the event in my calendar was in PT (since we live in CA) instead of MT. He says that he refuses to serve us because we have "disrespected him and wasted his time and he has a 4-month-old at home." He continues to say that we are disorganized and lack care and that in addition to not offering a tasting, he will not put in the effort to cook for our wedding after how we've treated him. We are SUPER apologetic - this is something we've spent money on, confirmed via email and have been looking forward to. When asked why he didn't call to check on our arrival time, he said he "doesn't have my phone number. And you confirmed with Holly so that should have been enough." Because I filled out an entire inquiry on their website and spoke with him personally to schedule this tasting, it's BUCK WILD to say that you don't have my number and think sending an email is problem solving enough. We would have literally hopped in the car and been there in 15 minutes had we been given the courtesy of a phone call. All of this to say, we made a mistake, were very apologetic and were treated super rudely and given no tasting despite paying. 0/10 for TBD Foods.

Tony's Catering - Ceviche with Tequila cream

    Tony's Catering

So, their pricing was in line with other high quality meals and it serves 10-12, which is perfect for 8 people on Thanksgiving ;) I ordered the whole roasted turkey (they have several types of turkey available) and the side dish bundle which included mashed potatoes, sage stuffing, praline sweet potatoes, green beans almandine (with tons of yummy bacon), gluten free gravy, cranberry relish, and brioche rolls. The non-contact, drive through pick up the day before Thanksgiving was staffed by very helpful, friendly people wearing masks. They put my order on my back seat and I was through the line in less than 10 minutes. When I got home, I immediately started unpacking everything so I could divide it up into "to go" orders for my family Zoom on Thanksgiving. I thought the turkey was frozen and started to panic but when I called them, they said it was not really frozen but very chilled and the shrink wrap made it seem frozen. They had me submerge it in hot water for about an hour. The directions say to heat it in the oven for about an hour, then tent it to rest, then slice it. Since I didn't have time for that, after it warmed up, we were able to slice off enough for my daughter's family so we could give her her share when she dropped off the pies. I split up the meal 4 ways and with her pies, we delivered everything just in time for our 1:00 pm Zoom. We all had different favorites for the food but we all agreed that everything, including the turkey (after we each heated up our own part) was delicious. My favorite was the praline sweet potatoes. They were creamy and had a great praline flavor and came with candied pecans to sprinkle over the top. I highly recommend this complete meal from Tony's and it would have been so easy if we were having people over. The fact that I had to divide and package it up made it a little more difficult but still much easier than cooking. They are offering more meals for the holidays that include turkey or prime rib, beef tenderloin or Applewood smoked ham. I'm betting they are all delicious! Thank you Tony's for making my pandemic Thanksgiving so much easier! You are my new "go to" for family meals.

We especially loved the cornbread stuffing and potatoes. We also had ham which I was expecting to be generic processed "ham in a can" and that was not the case. It was really favorable. They were here early and set up really quickly. I was also worried about not having enough but the portions were generous.
