I told her I wanted to learn to knit so we talked about the many options. I was so excited I wanted to start right away but I live here only part time. I set up an appointment for both my Daughter and myself. Our beginner lessons taught by Frenda had us knitting in no time. Katie has since knitted several baby blankets for her friends. I'm back after having a finger injury. Each and every time I walk in this store I am greeted with enthusiastic, friendly people, all enjoying some kind of needlework and each other's company. What a golden gem this place is. Betsy has put down her own project to help me correct a mistake and is always willing to advise and help!! She is so gracious! This is the place to be for both beginners and experienced and all in between. ...AND the selection of yarns and needlework is amazing! It is truly my happy place when I'm in Huntersville!!! A gentleman was there keeping watch with his puppy and they had a giant cage in there and the entire time he was rude to his dog and it sort of made me sad. Walking past the front desk, there were massive piles of papers and yarn and stuff EVERYWHERE. There was maybe a small walkthrough of room to get anywhere in the store, and an extreme fire hazard. Yarn on the floor, yarn on the shelves.. and man, it was expensive. I just felt like I was not welcome. Don't recommend.

It is a fun way to spend some time with loved ones or coworkers that isn't going out to eat or drink. The whole experience is great: easy, accessible, and all you need to do is come with a playlist and clothes you don't mind getting paint on (or you can bring a poncho, etc). Tim, on both occasions, walked us through instructions and was incredibly helpful, kind, and personable. Being able to throw paint around without worrying about spills and messes is so freeing! We all felt creative (even if you don't think you are creative) the whole time and had a blast dancing and mixing paint to create different colors. My coworkers absolutely loved doing this together, and my husband and I still talk about it and admire our work of art hanging in our home years later. I love the concept and so happy we have access to this in CLT. Tim & team are awesome, you really need to experience this if you haven't yet, there is nothing else like it!
