They were very thorough where we had to meet the foster family with the dog twice to ensure we were a good fit. Dog Gone Seattle adoption coordinator and foster mom were really responsive to our first couple of follow up questions after our successful adoption of our new heeler. 6 months later, he's settled in so nicely and now we have a wonderful, loving dog added to our family. I also appreciated that Justyna continued to support us after the adoption. Olive was barking a lot during crate training, and they were ready to give me tips and advice. I could tell they were super committed to finding the right fit for the dog but also to supporting me. I am now looking to adopt again and have loved that they host meet and greets at local breweries and wineries. I also really like that they continually update their dog listings as the foster family learns more about each dog. I feel like when I look at the listings, I can learn a lot about the dog and feel like they keep it real. Excited to hopefully adopt with them again very soon!

YELP COMPLAINT AGAINST SIAN, GINGER'S PET RESCUE'S CURRENT OWNER…read more I adopted my second dog from Ginger's Pet Rescue on April 16, 2025. In the case of my new dog, I had to pick only from a photo (from Korea) on the website, sight unseen. Upon receipt of the dog (Millie), she arrived with 7 cracked teeth and both back knees were outside of their sockets (patella luxation), an apparent birth defect (information the vet diagnosed later). Allegedly, the new owner of Ginger's Pet Rescue knew nothing about Millie's health concerns. Sian said all the Korean vet was responsible for, was to administer its required vaccinations. Unfortunately, Ginger Luke passed away a while ago and this very much impacted my poor experience with the new owner, Sian. Upon taking my dog (Millie) to the vet, I found out her health issues (7 cracked teeth, patella luxation). I contacted Sian and from my first interaction she was very negative, I felt she was trying to bully me, she was very aggressive and rude. First, Sian said the only thing she would do is to send Millie back to Korea to have the work done by the Korean vet. In addition, I had to pay an additional $1,000 for someone to escort her back to Korea. Sian's explanation was that she is billed on a monthly basis so she could pay Millie's bill on a monthly basis ( irrelevant and not my problem). * I had just come from a cruise in Korea and the plane ride was 14 hours one-way. I felt it was unnecessarily cruel and inhumane to make the dog travel for 28 hours to/from Korea when she just arrived. * I asked if Millie could be treated by a local vet and this was absolutely not an option, per Sian. * The big difference is Ginger's Pet Rescue no longer sends dogs from other countries before they are adopted (so people cannot take the animal to a local vet). They no longer have foster parents. When Ginger was alive, foster parents were very happy to foster dogs who would eventually be adopted in the U.S. * Regardless of whether I sent Millie back to Korea or I wanted to return Millie, I would have to keep her until it was convenient for them to take her off my hands. o Obviously, the longer I had to keep Millie, the more attached I became to her. * Sian said she would not give me a refund. I complained to the Luke family and it was through the Lukes that Sian clearly, begrudgedly agreed to give my money back. It was obvious Sian was very angry because she stated repeatedly that they will not and have not ever given refunds. The end of the story was that I felt I had to keep Millie. One of the reasons why I have not completed this Yelp complaint letter until now is because: 1) the 7 tooth extractions cost me a total of over $2,000 and 2) Millie has had to be operated on both back legs and this has cost be over $18,000. This could have been avoided if I was able to take Millie to a local vet and if Sian disclosed her health issues. The adoption process was such a very negative experience for me, and I will never again use this pet rescue ever again. Others considering adoption from this pet rescue need to be forewarned prior to using them. Someone needs to change the name of Ginger's Pet Rescue because this is no longer a credible organization. Ginger built such a positive reputation and she truly was concerned with the animals' well-being. I would have loved to remember Ginger's Pet Rescue as Ginger left it, before she passed. The staff was very kind and helpful and answered all of my questions. Tiana stole my heart so I took her home with me and she has been a wonderful addition to our family. I took her to our vet within a week of adoption to establish care and get a booster for one of her vaccines. Our vet doc and staff were very impressed with how well Tiana had been cared for by MEOW, especially given the circumstances from which MEOW had rescued her. We are so grateful for the wonderful work that they do.

Like many shelters in the area, we were required to fill out an application before being allowed a visit. Luckily, we passed the test. In fact, we had a response within a 1/2 hour of sending our application, very late on a Thursday night I might add. By the next morning we had made an appointment for 11:30 that day. When we arrived at Caesars, I couldn't believe how much love the owner had for her rescue dogs, cute, funny looking, shy or not. We proceeded to check out the little black lab mix we had come to see. The Owner used this time to share everything she knew about the dog, where he came from, how she got him, all the shots he had gone through, etc. She had taken him to the vet, poor guy had kennel cough and not-so-great stool. She gave us every last detail in order for us to be fully informed new parents. They even did a home inspection to make sure what we said on our application was true. We have had a couple follow up questions a few days later and have received almost immediate replies to help us on our way. We were provided all the vet paperwork available. Our puppy already had his chip and was neutered, we received all the invoices with that information as well. You could tell she had a definite passion for what she does and takes the greatest care in ensuring the animals are nursed back to health if needed, provided a loving and attentive environment and placed in good homes.

I waited through a list of 8 people and when I got to the top i was randomly dropped to number 5 again. I waited again. the third time i was at the top, I went to the adoption center they said my name was nowhere on the list at all. it went on and on! I was there for 2 hours of this. I know that you are underfunded but really--why is this so bizarrely inept and broken? Just make a PAPER LIST and call us, like a restaurant hostess would do. We didn't adopt, but we will from a good organization. And the place we adopt from will also receive our donation money.

I was in a pretty helpless position as I was not due to be home for several days. My son came up with a great idea and checked online to see if our dog had been found and turned in to the RASKC. Sure enough, she was there. My wife went down the next morning, paid the fee and picked her up. She had been well treated, and we are very thankful that they found her and gave her a good safe place until we could come get her. My son said that she was so excited to see him. She cried and whined, and fell asleep in his arms in the car. Thank you very much
