However, once I told them I am not renewing my lease, things took a turn for the worse. They started scheduling bookings every single day including the weekends. This is extremely frustrating as a teacher who needs some downtime on the weekends. As the picture shows, management gave me a blanket response saying they are moving ahead with the showing, regardless of the inconvenience to the me as the current tenant, because legally they gave me at least 48 hours. I emailed them multiple times and told them viewing times did not work out for me. I was greeted with another blanket response. If you decide to work with 606, I would highly recommend working with Stan as he always communicates with both parties to confirm showing times will work. Another agent ignored my emails and just showed up at the times I told him wouldn't work for me. Kurt is also very receptive to concerns and will respond promptly.

TLDR: DON'T SIGN WITH 606 REALTY…read more Genuinely the least accommodating property management company I've ever worked with. From the very beginning of our first year we noticed the AC units were extremely run down, to the point where only one of the three units functioned reliably. Upon requesting maintenance, our landlord George told us he 'couldn't do anything unless the units were completely broken'. As a result we dealt with only one working unit to cool our entire apartment for most of that first year. Once we realized that one of our units had produced a sheet of ice blocking the actual vent itself (see image attached), it seemed appropriate to once again ask for a replacement. This time, 606 actually sent out an HVAC specialist to investigate the issue, who concluded 'not only are these units upwards of 40 years old, but the wiring in your apartment makes it impossible to run more than one bedroom unit simultaneously without triggering the fuse breaker' So naturally, he recommended we have both units replaced and update the accompanying electrical arrangement. However, there was no follow up thereafter and I only received an email saying 'maintenance completed'. Now another FULL YEAR LATER, we have asked again and have waited for an absurd amount of time without even confirmation of an appointment for these units to be looked into, while our apartment consistently sits around 80°. Similarly, during a period of time where the city was gutting and repairing the back alley (a two-month endeavor), flyers were placed all over the affected apartments saying that we would need to 'find alternative parking for the 8-weeks of construction'. We found another parking space as instructed, and we were charged a prorated parking fee by 606 for the first weeks of the construction. Expecting that we would not continue to be charged the full rate for a parking spot WE COULD NOT ACCESS, we paid for another full month of alternative parking as the construction continued to drag on. However, 606 began charging the full parking rate for the next two months despite the spot being completely inaccessible. When I called George about this, I kid you not--he said, "Well, we shouldn't have to lose out on parking revenue because of a project the city is doing". Those were his actual words. Needless to say, 606 has little to no regard for the satisfaction of their tenants, particularly when there is any kind of cost they might have to incur. If you sign a lease with 606, just know that you're seen only as a dollar value, not a person.

Absolutely the Worst Management Company We've Ever Dealt With…read more If you're a renter, avoid this management company at all costs. If you're a building owner trying to get rid of your tenants, congratulations--you've found the perfect partner. We've dealt with consistently rude, dismissive, and borderline hostile treatment from day one--especially from George, who somehow manages to make every conversation feel like a personal attack. He doesn't offer solutions, just criticism, threats, and apathy. He's petty, unhelpful, and clearly doesn't care about the tenants he's paid to serve. Their process is a joke. You're told to submit maintenance tickets through their portal, but those tickets are completely ignored. Then they act surprised you didn't "inform" them--even though you followed their process. It's a lose-lose game, always stacked against you. Real examples: * Our A/C completely died. We submitted a ticket, called over a dozen times across an entire week, and got zero response. No update, no repair window, nothing. It was nearly 80 degrees in our unit with a child, and they didn't care. * Our fridge broke. Submitted a ticket, emailed, called--again, silence. It's been over 24 hours, and still nothing. * We've been repeatedly threatened over where we place our belongings--then when we move them exactly where they say, they still throw them out. No notice, no attempt at communication. Just garbage bags and spite. * Rent a day late because of mail delays? Too bad. George doesn't care. You'll hear from him instantly about that--but go ahead and wait forever if you need actual help with a maintenance issue. Every issue we've ever had required us to beg for basic service. Calling their main line? Useless. Submitting a ticket? Useless. The only thing that might work is catching George on a good day--if those exist. I would not wish this company on anyone. If I ever moved into a new unit and learned they were managing it, I'd break the lease before unpacking a single box. It's been nothing short of hell.

Mary was very rude and unprofessional. I have worked in property management myself for years and…read morethe practices that this company follows is a disgrace. I applied to an apartment with this company and was told by Mary I had an eviction on my account which is not true. I never lived at the address she stated and I am confused where this information came from, she never answered that question for me. She went on to look at my credit report and named things that are no longer on my credit or effecting my credit to state "It looks like you cant even pay your bills on time, not even your credit cards so how can you even pay your rent?" she also stated "You cant afford to pay rent and your utilities" This is completely unprofessional. With both of me and my co applicants income and credit we are way over qualified for this apartment! Mary then continued on to tell me that my co applicant was never even screened or looked at because of my eviction/credit history even though we both were required to pay an application fee to run BOTH of our information. I was so excited to possibly live in the unit I applied for and people like Mary and the unprofessional practices of Optimus Realty give management companies a bad name. This company does not follow equal housing opportunity laws. UPDATE: I applied for an apartment elsewhere where they were very strict on NO EVICTIONS and long behold... I was APPROVED for the apartment. The owner stated that I had NO EVICTIONS. I am not sure where this company gets their inaccurate information from. Since I was never given this information such as where I can find my so called eviction on my record I guess we will never know. Pitiful.
