He fixed the irrigation line but re-installed the pot backwards with the seam to the front (very ugly). The pot was also installed way out of level. Pics below. I sent him these pictures and asked that he make this right. He refused to come out and suggested I find someone else. I understand that people make mistakes, but when they do not stand behind their work, it is not acceptable. I will not be using Sergio again for any jobs big or small. And will not be recommending him to any of my neighbors.

After many unsuccessful attempts of hiring a hardscape contractor, Saloman arrived punctual to provide an estimate for my backyard project. He completed the work timely as promised and left the entire area better than he found it. Impressed with the backyard hardscape, we asked him to start on our front yard. As expected, Saloman is a true artist that loves his work. Unlike previous contractors, he meticulously trimmed and shaped our palm trees without damaging the trees or any surrounding plants. Also, he even cleaned our roof that was full of debris. The most impressive thing about Saloman is that he works on each project with such care and attention to detail as though it's his own house. And unlike some of the other contractors (we got many other quotes), Saloman's prices were very reasonable and lower than all the other contractors. Called Barnyard Specialties to help us address a water issue we were having inside a storage room…read more The building is an old house that was converted into a commercial retail space. The concrete in the rear area was poured over the wall weep screed so water was slowing being absorbed into the wall and creating a mold situation inside. Micah from Barnyard met me onsite and he spent a lot more time than expected measuring and talking over options. Micah was very knowledagble and found creative ways to remedy the situation while still considering our budget. During the design conversation he made quick calls out to his subcontractors to verify costs and timing so everyone could jump in and tackle this project as a team. I've been a contractor in San Diego for 40 years, have run crews and worked along side many other long-time trade professionals. I was impressed with this initial meeting so much we hired Micah and his team at Barnyard the next morning and we couldn't have been happier. The pre-planning we did and coordination from the start made the entire process run smoothly to the end. We ended up removing all the existing concrete that was poured too high and sloped toward the building. Removed more than 8-tons of dirt. Sawcut the exiting slab tight to the wall for a good look which required removing 36" of stucco to get the big sawblade tight to the wall. Re-stuccoed the walls with a new weep screed and installed several new in-ground drains and down spout connections. big jobs, small jobs all add up to many small details, if someone pays attention to all the details you have a winner. They insisted I needed weekly maintenance despite the fact that I have been getting bimonthly service for over 20 years. They then came up with a monthly fee of $245! If I wasn't so disgusted at the ludicrousness of the quote, I would have laughed out loud thinking they were surely joking.
