Chris and his team at Organics Outback did the landscaping and hardscaping at our home back in 2020 and we couldn't have been happier with the experience. From the beginning, Chris was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and easy to work with. He helped guide us through the design and made sure everything came together exactly the way we envisioned. The quality of the work has really stood the test of time. Our yard still looks fantastic years later, and you can tell the attention to detail and craftsmanship that went into the project. Chris takes a lot of pride in what he does and it shows in the finished result. Beyond the great work, he's just a genuinely good guy who cares about his clients and the outcome of the project. If you're looking for someone who is reliable, talented, and passionate about landscaping and outdoor spaces, I highly recommend Chris and Organics Outback. read more

I really cannot recommend Chris and his crew enough. My project was almost two years in the making and Chris was accommodating of my schedule, my delays, my on-the-fly delays and my indecision. Once he got started, he and his crew were quick, polite and professional. I had my front yard and backyard redone, including concrete work, new plants, lighting, minor electrical and everything in between. Even when the project hit unexpected road blocks or I wanted to change things mid-construction, he was happy to work with me and offer his advice. He was never pushy and never salesy. He went with my wife and I pick out plants and even added a few extras on his dime when she got excited about certain items that were out of my budget. The finished product turned out better than I expected and neighbors I don't even know have stopped me outside of my house to remark about how much they love the redesign and the new plants. I'd give him 6 stars if I could. I was a novice to this type of project and needed help from a professional who also understood that I needed help and Chris went above and beyond to accommodate. Don't think twice, just pull the trigger, you'll be happy you did. read more

We hired Chris & his team to do our backyard project for us & he did an amazing job! He worked within our budget to accommodate what we wanted & was very present throughout the work. He even met with us personally to help us pick out some plants. He's a pleasure to work with & we're very happy with the results. Would recommend Chris & Organics Outback without hesitation! read more

I couldn't be happier about the work done by Chris Garcia and his team at Organics Out Back. I had my entire backyard refurbished. When Chris got his hands on it, it was nothing but dirt and concrete. He then landscaped it beautifully and the team did a wonderful job of putting in all the systems, and making sure the systems and all the sprinklers and lighting worked. I also want to complement him on his company's follow-up for me. I put in a sound system, and Chris got his team to come back out immediately when asked to dig the necessary trench and then return to refill it so the ground looked untouched. I also wanted to make one change to the original design. This was a more extensive project. Again, Chris had his team back to my house in short order to make the changes I wanted. The work was extremely well-done and it has enhanced the look of my yard. It has now been 9 months. Everything is growing in nicely, the systems continue to work as designed and my backyard has become such a peaceful sanctuary. I'm truly grateful for the professionalism of he and his staff and the friendship that developed Patrick read more

I highly recommend Chris and his crew. I first reached out to Chris as we were ending a very bad experience with another pool and landscaping company. I still needed our plants, irrigation, and lighting to be done, and was hoping to get it done before my daughter's graduation party. He was very empathetic, and he and his crew got right to work. They were always on time, very receptive to texts and calls, and did a beautiful, high quality job in a timely manner. Chris and his crew saved the day and were a pleasure to work with! read more

I've done several projects with the Organics Out Back team and they are the best. Chris' attention to detail is unmatched in the outdoor space. Chris Garcia and his talented team put together the most beautiful yard for us. He was working with a lot of existing hard/landscape that needed to be demo'd and/or removed and repositioned to other places on our property. He and his team came in with gusto. From day one Chris has excellence in mind. That work ethic stays until their last day on site. I can't recommend Organics Out Back enough. Great people to work your project with. read more

Chris and his team are absolute professionals, and we are extremely happy with our landscaping project. They walked us through every detail from design to completion and the project finished on-time and on-budget which is rare with projects like this. We had countless questions during the project, and even a few last-minute changes in direction, and Chris and his team handled it all patiently and professionally. Once the project completed Chris and his team were still available for questions, comments or concerns and that level of dedication is hard to find. We have enjoyed countless hours of quality family time with our new landscaping and have had zero regrets. We have and will continue to recommend Chris and his team to our family and friends. read more

Chris and his team are absolutely the best . I highly recommend them. As a local realtor it is so important to have someone like Chris at Organics Outback that you can trust and refer clients to. I recommend him to the highest degree, so much so that when my parents needed a contact to redo their beach house he was my immediate go to. He did an amazing job and on top of that has always been a pleasure to be around. Thanks again for everything I truly appreciate your attention to detail Chris!! read more

I had high hopes when I contacted Chris for a small front yard & entry way landscape makeover. I had visited his online Site and seen a few of his projects and was impressed with his modern planting design. He came by and discussed what we were looking for, made a few suggestions, and indicated that he would prepare some ideas and provide plant photos to illustrate his concept, and get back with us in a week. I phoned when we didn't hear back and left a message. No return call? Phoned a second time and still no response? I was certainly surprised. If he wasn't interested in the work, he could of at least phoned to explain. Not the way to run a business. read more

Beware potential customers, if you will not give the business a good review on yelp, here is what is going to happen: Mr Garcia, instead of taking ownership of the flaws in his business communication and using customers feedback to improve, he researched to find out where I do work and made sure to place his review about my person on the business, where I work at, yelp page...Seriously...??!!! Very immature and unprofessional Mr Garcia, it says a lot about your temper and behaviors. I highly recommend you save your energy and time to work on improving your business and communication instead of harassing people at their work place because they gave you their feedback. I thought this update also might be helpful for your potential customers to know what kind of business owner and structure they will be dealing with. read more

Organics Out Back - Mr Garcia's posting on customer's work page - Landscaping Near Me - San Clemente, California

Very disappointing follow up from a new home project. We tried repeatedly to get Chris to come back and check out some of our plants and trees that were not doing well. We have a long and lengthy text string with no answers or no response to our many requests. In fact we also chased down the architect that referred this company to see if they could get him to respond. They also stated that they have had other customers recently that were equally disappointed in his follow through. Was very responsive at first when we were trying to get a quote and when the job was underway. I know he has probably gotten very busy with everyone investing in their homes, but his unprofessional lack of follow through has been a major surprise and disappointment. We tried to be patient before leaving this feedback, but after months and months of no response I was left with no choice. read more

Chris and his crew are the best!! He is my go to guy for all things edible and organic gardening. We have worked together for many years and they are always extremely professional and knowledgeable. I am always impressed with the quality of work that they put out over and over again!! read more

Amazing work! I now have one of the nicest fences and landscape in town. Organics Outback was super conscious and respectful of both my house and the neighbors. Everything was organized and done fast. Could not be more satisfied with both the work that was performed and the customer service. I have already referred Organics Out Back to 2 friends and they were equally as satisfied. Really looking forward to the next project, thanks for all the help! read more

Organics Out Back has helped this black-thumbed gal "grow your own" and I couldn't be more pleased with their plants & service! Chris and his team transformed a couple of dead dirt patches into lush veggie gardens and we're enjoying lettuce, beets, peppers, strawberries, herbs, tomatoes, cucumbers and more. The Organics Out Back crew not only did the hard work to properly prepare the soil, but they also built a beautiful fence around the gardens to keep the critters out. We're also taking advantage of the maintenance program and love that they come out every week to weed, fertilize and plant new plants based on seasonal availability. We went from wasting hundreds of dollars every year on plants and never getting a single edible thing out of it to having a full garden that consistently provides delicious organic produce year-round! I recommend Organics Out Back to all my friends!!! read more

I used Organics outback for a good sized re-landscaping job of a 11,000SF lot. The yard had some hillside, along with some new concrete, sprinklers, and lots of privacy trees installed. All the work and trees were very reasonably priced compare to others we talked to. The guys were professional and got the job done quickly. They also guaranteed work and we had 2 larger, mature olive trees that died after getting planeted. They cut those down, and replanted brand new trees, which was amazing. All the landscaping is doing well and nice to have a local company to rely on for planting but also guaranteeing their work too. read more

100% satisfied. Actually, I'm 100% thrilled. Chris and his team set up 3 large raised beds with irrigation, which are thriving. I haven't shopped for produce in months. He also did all of my landscaping in my front and back yards, and it all looks beautiful. I gave very little direction, and I couldn't be happier. I would not hesitate to recommend Organics Out Back to anyone. read more

Chris is THE BEST landscape designer I have ever worked with. I have employed many over the years in multiple houses. We have been out of the country for two years and came home to find our yard in ruins from bad maintenance by the community gardener. Chris and team came in and worked within our budget and gave us the most beautiful garden and yard for exactly what we had requested. This is a team of hard working professionals who know their job. They take pride in the work and go the extra mile. Chris is always in the job. He doesn't just sell it and show up on the first day and then not come back until its finished. He was on the job everyday, inspecting and directing. We love this group! read more

About 7 years ago I plucked a business card off a board at Plant Depot. The card was for Organics Outback, owned and operated by Chris Garcia. I liked the business name, as I wanted to build up an organic vegetable garden and needed ideas. Chris came out for an estimate and I immediately loved his enthusiasm about his work. I didn't bother to get more estimates and Chris designed and built my raised plantar boxes, planted everything and then (for a monthly fee) his long time employee, Rambo, tended the garden for me until I learned enough to do it myself. Since then I've hired Chris to redo my front yard with succulents and native plants. His motto? It will be the "Best House on the Block,"he said. And of course it is! We've had a ton of compliments from neighbors and passers by. Since then Organics Outback has grown to a multiple crew operation, going from strictly vegetable gardens and maintenance to full scale architectural landscaping, both hard and soft scapes. He does organic gardens for restaurants as well and his designs are always beautiful! Check out his photos and short videos on Instagram and see for yourself. read more

I just had my raised bed put in and I love it! I can't wait to reap the benefits from my garden. I've never had a green thumb. It's a wonder that my indoor plants have survived over the years! I look forward to being able to have my vegetables and so do my kids! Maybe I can even get them to try some new ones! read more

I've tried raised bed vegetable gardening for a few years, but had spotty success--no matter how much Sluggo or organic pesticide I used, my produce got well nibbled before I could harvest it. I didn't know how to keep crops I eat a lot of, like lettuce, in rotation so I don't over or under produce for my needs. And, I wasn't sure of placement--I just didn't know enough to keep tall plants from shadowing lower plants, etc. Chris set up raised beds with irrigation and planted them for me. I was really impressed with the quality of the soil/compost/fertilizer. He used a combination of seeds and transplants so I could harvest some things within a week and within five weeks, the seeded plants were beginning to be ready to eat. What I like best is the maintenance. The seedlings are magically thinned. And I don't know how Chris and his crew do it, but my veggies aren't getting attacked by bugs and slugs! I also enjoy the surprises Chris leaves--he'll sneak in a crop of onions and garlic in an unused patch of ground. And he understands that I'm using his maintenance service not just for the convenience but for the education--he is always ready to teach me how to tell when root veggies are ready to pick, or how to thin the seedlings. Chris seems to love and to believe in what he does. His positive attitude is a joy. If you want to eat clean--to be sure you're getting organic, non-GMO produce in your diet, call Chris. read more

Chris and his team do a fantastic job! They built a large vegetable garden, orchard and vineyard for us on a steep slope. It required a lot more work than anticipated, but Chris stood by his quote, went the extra mile to make sure it was done correctly and made sure that we were happy with the result. He was meticulous about the design, the build out, the vegetable selection and the surrounding plants. He wanted it to be safe for our children, produce a lot of produce and be a beautiful addition to our property. He succeed in all areas! Perhaps most importantly, Chris is a very nice man...honest, patient and dedicated. It is my pleasure to recommend him! read more

Organics out back came and installed an edible garden along the back wall of our yard. They really love what they're doing and it shows in their work, we are more than pleased with our new beautiful garden. It's only been six weeks and we are already enjoying delicious beets, leaf lettuce, spinach, chard arugula, kale, strawberries and tons of herbs. Our zucchini is almost ready to harvest and it will be followed with tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, artichoke, peas, watermelon, carrots, onions, garlic and more. I was so amazed at the amount that could fit in the area that we are using. Chris is great at creating his vision and was not only able to make our garden functional for everyday use but he also put a lot of thought and effort into the aesthetics. Behind the veggies is beautiful lavender and rosemary, strategically placed down the whole line. In front of the veggies is culinary thyme and some little white flowers placed all the way down the line. Chris set it up so that thyme and flowers will grow to drape down the front of the raised wall. The kids love picking strawberries from the garden and going out to check the progress, because every morning, things look a little different than they did the day before. Organics Out Back is a great local choice for anyone who is looking for a healthy, sustainable and beautiful way to enjoy the space that they are living in. read more
