Before during the first six months at this new house, we constantly worried about the pool; we had the bottom resurfaced, a whole new pool system was installed, and a solar heater as well. After all of that and all the money spent, the pool still had issues our old pool guy kept brushing us off about. Examples: mold at the bottom, constantly low water, the pump was erratic, leaves all over, dirt, the list goes on, but then we found Dante. I have struggled a bit with keeping my pool maintained. I searched high and low for someone in the area that would really be diligent and attentive. Really glad I did. Dante discussed the benefits of a salt system for my pool. Being someone who likes to research I followed up on his information. He was right, and so I followed up with him to help me get one installed. Within a week it was installed and ready to go. With the price of chlorine now and other chemicals it should prove to be a money saver long term--both in terms of ongoing chemical consumption but in overall maintenance as well. He explained why that happens and what could be done to fix it. He went to the effort to rearrange their schedule to have someone over next day (at his suggestion not my urging). (It'll be worth your time perusing this lengthy review.) I'm extremely grateful to have found Dante+crew. They've: A) repaired Major Pool Cracks (holding 2-YRS strong!); B) handled Equipment Fixes & Upgrades; C) provided no-worry Wkly Service. Pool Cracking severity -- H2O levels were dropping below level to run auto cleaning equipment. This, the culmination of 15 yrs of issues. Professional Leak Detections performed twice (2010, 2015). Latest Recommendation: Punch holes to obtain Core Samples. Removal & analysis necessary to determine repair needed. (Brentwood pool pal verified this as industry protocol.) But it made no sense to me -- $500 (Hole Punching) + $450 (Leak Detection already spent) = Zero towards the $$$-Unknown repair?!? Dante came to my rescue. I was outside his service area, but he was willing to talk over the phone. Learning of above leakage history, he agreed to drive over & perform a visual inspection himself. Finally, sensing my desperation at wit's end, he took on the Job. Dante's approach: What's the CAUSE? (He's the ONLY person in 15-yrs to look at neighboring properties by climbing ladder to look over high perimeter walls!) It was only then that I learned our pool cracking was due to pool's location on a hilltop.) A) Crack Repair. Because Dante possesses a background in Concrete, he was able to offer an alternate Resolution -- Drain pool; Open cracks down to their level of structural integrity; Assess & repair (e.g. some needed add'l Rebar reinforcement; all cracks were stapled along length, then concreted over.) B) Equipment Repair-Replacement. Leak Detection Co's repairs were performed by my (then) pool guy. Saved me $150, but req'd 6-months for completion. Flagstone finishwork was so sloppy (from his untested subcontractor) that it required redo. (It was just 1-1/2 months afterward when Pool Levels took a nosedive.) Dante's assessment: old Pool Guy did NOT implement Leak Co's recommendations, opting instead for a substandard workaround. [Wish I'd found Dante-SC Pool Techs earlier.] C) Weekly Service. Have not had any worries or complaints since Dante's Cruz took over. Payments are easy (auto-paid via credit card); no more check writing. LOOK NO FURTHER for ALL your pool needs -- crack repair, equipment maintenance; weekly service. Pool Resurfacing, Equipment Upgrades? For those, too, I will use Dante. I wouldn't consider anyone else -- Dante's a nice/caring individual who takes pride in his profession; he's a sound communicator who gives honest assessments, fair pricing, & no up-sell pressuring! We called South County Pool Techs to see about having our salt system repaired. We were not having a good experience with our regular pool service, who had not responded to our calls for service after six months of trying. When we called South County Pool Techs, Dante responded to our call immediately, came out to look at the pool and offered us a very good rate for pool service and repair. He insisted on earning our business, and boy did he so far. He immediately set up both a weekly service and a time to have a tech look at our salt system. he was completely upfront about the problems with salt systems, and also their benefits. He also look at other aspects of our pool that might need service, and let us know with no pressure to have the repairs done ... but that he could offer us very reasonable rates if and when we decided to do the repairs. So far, I think this is a very ethical business that wants to earn our business through quality and reliability. Fantastic spa repair company - look no further! My spa equipment was ancient - and I'm talking 1988 ancient. The pumps were LOUD and leaking. The heater sounded like it was going to blow up every time I turned it on and it would take 6 hours just to get the water temperature to 100 degrees. Oh and the filter was rusting out and the filter media was back flowing into my spa. Did I mention the brown rust stains on my white spa walls? Ok - I needed to fix this broken eyesore or remove it entirely. It was time - actually - it was way past time. I made some phone calls and I started with 2 bids - one guy was really delayed in getting back to me and his bid was crazy high. The other company was really quite responsive when answering my questions, but they weren't going to install the best equipment. Then I found Dante. I emailed him and called and left a message. He came out the same day to look at the problem even though I couldn't be there. He gave me an estimate by the end of the day and answered all of my husband's questions regarding exactly what equipment he was going to use so we could do our research. He started on the job the day after I signed the contract. He performed the job fast and perfectly. He even found a cover for my old timer for free instead of charging me to install a new one. The whole job was done within 3 days and it was a complete overhaul of the 30 year old spa equipment. My spa looks AMAZING! The red rust stains are gone. The filter media is gone. The pool water is sparkly clean and pristinely clean. Oh - and the heater heats the water to 104 degrees in like 10 minutes. Pumps are quiet and the heater doesn't sound like it's going to blow up. So here's the crazy part. I've never actually met Dante! He did the bid, the work, the cleanup and took my payment over the telephone with a credit card. No down payment. I called SC Pool Techs to ask about repairing the rooftop solar heater for my pool. Dante answered the phone and explained that they did not work on rooftop solar water heaters. HOWEVER - when I explained to him that I was having problems finding anyone to do it, he immediately said he would go find someone for me. Today he called me back and said he had found someone he trusted to come out and fix the problem. There was no money in it for him, and I randomly called him after finding his website. In spite of this, he went out if his way to help someone in need. This is the type of customer service that will be rewarded and he went well above and beyond what I would have expected.
