Back wall tv playing Seahawks game on a rainy Sunday.

Really enjoyed this place! It was hard to find from the street because it faces a parking structure but I'm so glad I did find it! Lots of seating outside with inside having bar seating, long high top communal tables and a few lower tables for groups of 4ish. The staff were so lovely and made great recommendations. We were pleased to know they make non alcoholic beer and refer to them as self care options. My husband couldn't believe he was drinking a hazy ipa non alcoholic beer! And they had even more to choose from! When we were there, the Seahawks were playing and there were only. A few people inside. A great option when you're annoyed with the over crowded sports bar scene. There was only one food truck which we didn't try but the worker there said any outside food is welcome. They do sell snacks such as candy, chips, nuts, microwave ramen, etc. I really liked it here and will be back soon!

Cool location downtown near the courthouse. Indoor and outdoor seating is avail. Indoor seating is a mix of traditional tables and communal long tables... it was a little dark but I suspect it was the time of day and such. Had the fish and chips... hell yeah!!! 3 generous Cod Portions and hand cut fries... the starter sauce was pretty dang tasty as well. The server was very friendly and attentive. She knew the menu and her service was spot on. I think this place likely hops at lunch and in the evenings. If I'm not off my mark... the owners owned/own Darby's which was featured at another location on DDD but has since been absorbed here as they had to compress their interests due to a Budding fam. All said... I'd certainly recommend and eat here again. Kept kicking it folks.

Great brew pub. Plenty of beers to choose from and a nice menu. Food was great. We had the beer cheese soup with salad and the fish and chips. Soup per my wife, was awesome one of the best she has had. Fish and chips where great. Beer Batter was very good. Make sure and check out the stained glass above the bar. It was an original piece from the Olympia beer brewery. Pretty cool piece.

Good spot to have a bite to eat or a cold beverage on a hot summer day with social distancing! They have about 10 picnic tables setup all over the back of the restaurant/brewery that fit 6-8 people each. The contactless ordering and pickup system is easy and efficient. It was nice to be able to enjoy what they have to offer outside properly distanced from other groups. Someday we will enjoy the inside but for now this is a great alternative!

Been here several times. Great variety of "their" beer and guest taps. This time I had the Cuban (again). Pork was great flavorful and mostly moist. The fries we really good too. Paired with a Double IPA. MMMmmmmm

We first came across this hidden gem while doing the "Sip-n-Stroll" in downtown Olympia. At that time we only saw the private event space but were impressed with the sampling of food & beer served for the sip-n-stroll. Recently we went back on our own and were pleasantly surprised with the vibe in the main restaurant space and I myself was overjoyed to find out they serve spirits!!!! I thought it was just beer/wine. We had eaten before we went because we expected it to have your standard bar menu, but now we can't wait to return to try out the menu...so many options...healthy and overindulgent!!

Is it the ample bleu cheese crumbles, candied pecan chunks, or dried cranberries??? It's all of it. Maybe it's the low lights and inviting sense of brewery in the air. Maybe it's just the beer. Maybe it's the bartender who tries to get me to drink more of this delicious beer... maybe it's just magic.

He wasn't particularly friendly when we first got there, and it did feel like the bill came pretty quick once we finished eating, but nothing that ruined the experience. Where I was disappointed was the portion size. I ordered the grilled chicken club, and for $15 for the sandwich alone, I was expecting a little more. That thing was tiny. I swear it was gone in about 3.5 bites. Then it's another $3 to add fries, which were good, but now I'm paying $18 for a sandwich and fries when the chicken breast itself looked like maybe 3-4 oz. A couple hours later I placed an online order for a burger for my wife since she was at an event nearby and was hungry. Same thing there. The burger tasted good, but the portion was pretty small for what we paid. That's really my biggest takeaway. The food was there taste-wise, the portions just weren't. I don't mind paying restaurant prices for good food, but at those prices I'd at least like to leave feeling like I actually ate something. I'm not saying I wouldn't be back, but maybe just for the beer and some fries.

The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about this place. It's fun, lively and has a really great vibe. The restaurant itself is beautiful, and there's a nice little shop right up front with all kinds of cute merchandise. I always enjoy looking around before or after we eat. The food has always been good every time we've been. We've tried several different dishes, and we've never been disappointed. And of course, the beer is really good too! We especially love their Juicy IPA. We usually end up buying a six-pack to take home with us because we enjoy it that much. The only downside I would mention is that the staff can be a little slow and not always the most attentive. They're never unfriendly, which I appreciate, but sometimes it takes a while to get someone's attention or get what you need. It hasn't been enough to keep us from coming back, but it's definitely something I've noticed on our visits. Overall, we really like Talking Cedars. Good food, great beer, a fun atmosphere and a cute little shop make it a place we enjoy coming back to. We'll definitely be back again!

We tried the artichoke dip with crab, which was really good, along with the cheese curds. Our meals were generous portions, and I ordered the salmon cakes--they were flavorful and something I would definitely order again. We finished with the bourbon bread pudding. The dessert portion was on the smaller side and it was definitely sweet, but still very tasty! The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with a casual distillery feel that made it a comfortable spot to sit and enjoy lunch. Overall, we really enjoyed our lunch--the food was good, portions were generous, and the service made the experience even better. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in the area!

The whole building has so much personality, and I love that they fully lean into the weird, playful aesthetic. The tiki bar downstairs is my favorite part, every so often they do these little lightning and rainstorm effects that make the whole experience really fun. The food is solid, the cocktails are good, and there's a huge beer selection, so it works really well whether you're coming for dinner, drinks, or just wandering around. It's also a great date spot because there are so many different rooms and bars to explore, and you can keep moving around and trying different things instead of sitting in one place all night. Service has always been really friendly too. I'd come here as for the venue and the drinks more than the food, but it's one of those places I always love to take people who visit Washington.

It was quite busy, and we may have not gotten a table if we hadn't. We were greeted kindly, and taken to our table while we waited for our family to arrive. Our server was nice, we ordered some drinks and waited for our family. I started looking at the menu, realizing it was a brunch menu (it was Sunday) which I didn't realize is what we were getting when booking. So, no Boilermaker Dip for me. I looked the menu over and decided on the biscuits and sausage gravy. Our family ordered pizzas, burgers, a tuna salad sandwich and I had my biscuits and gravy. Everybody said their burgers, pizza and sandwich were good. However, my biscuits and gravy were strange. There wasn't enough gravy for the two large biscuits, and where in the world did the chives and bacon come from? It said buttermilk biscuits and sausage gravy. I had chives and bacon thrown on there somehow, totally weird. The service was ok. Our drinks we not refilled unless we asked, nor did we get our alcoholic drinks without asking for another one as they were clearing tables without asking. The atmosphere is cool, and we all had a good time. The food and service could definitely take a big step up to make this a fun and great place to go.

Service was nice! Shoutout to the volunteers holding down the stage and ensuring that tips were being collected after each performance with mindfulness of the audience that they may be in the way of. They even offer exchanges for singles if you brought cash and want to break it. No need to stop by atm if you forgot to do so before the show. 15 minute intermission at the halftime of the 2-hourish burlesque show, which was enough time to do what you need. I think that they have bathroom here, but unsure of the cleanliness because I did not go. The stage that they perform at is cutely decorated with sparkly streamers and the volunteers do their best to clean the stage after each performed so that no slip-ups happen...and thankfully that did not occur during my time there! I like that the burlesque was prop-heavy for some performances because apparently it is not common in the burlesque scene. The emcee, dulce, did a great job to ensure that the crowd was enjoying their time while performers got ready. I wish that for the ticket, they specified how long the shows were. All tix said 1800 or 6PM start time, so pls look at your entire ticket order because you may be out in for the late-night show at 2100 or 9pm...espscially if that is what you ordered. anyway, the performers were super duper great. No complaints. Got my money's worth for my general admission ticket of $28.52. It is near the vip chairs, but vip got more crowd interaction with the performers dancing on them. if u want that, get vip tix! Not that much of a difference in pricing from what I remember. Another thing was that it would have been nice if they listed who the performers will be on the ticket order or on the front of the spot when you enter the door. Just better advertising would be nice so that even more people can see the talent!! Parking was good with the side street. Car did not get broken into...Read the signs, though! Usually, the side street parking is on the weekdays from 0800 to 1700, or 8AM to 5PM.

Now if I remember from what I read correctly the folks that run this place were employees of Wild Man Brewing which had a location here (but closed). After studying the tap list it looks like what they carry here primarily is guest tap beers and meads from local breweries and meaderies and doesn't appear that they make their own like the predecessor of this space. But that's okay as it's a really cool place. The guest taps they have are good... nice and cold. The food is good as well. I got a pulled pork sandwich... something that I haven't had in a really long time. I enjoyed it... it was nice and tasty! It was a nice sized lunch along with the fries. The people that work here are nice and friendly and the space here is fun. Definitely a cool place to come and hang out in!
