The best Greek food in town! The restaurant has parking up a steep ramp or on the lower level, same level as the street. The restaurant has either a building with elevator access or down the stairs around the corner, so lots of accessibility. The people at this restaurant are amazing. They definitely go above and beyond to make your experience wonderful. The restaurant has a section for private dining and a larger casual area. It's clean, it's spacious and nothing but tip top service. We had catering from them for approx 1000 people and they did not disappoint. Djole and his team worked hard to get the food prepped and delivered on time and more importantly - hot and delicious. They listened to what our needs were and adjusted accordingly with their expertise. Chicken souvlaki - 10/10 super juicy and grilled beautifully Moussaka (vegetarian) 100/10- the vegetables were layered and cooked to perfection. The creamy mix of potatoes on top add a lovely depth to the dish. Three Kretans plated up a sporting saganaki to heighten hopes, a passable moussaka to temper them, then: shamefully horrid, unswallowable "grilled" vegetables, what I imagined was Greek flavoured Rice a Roni, Greek stew harbouring a Club House flavour standoff with cinnamon holding high ground, stale potatoes in a cloak of acidic lemon sauce (so sad about that one) and gyro meat like wood chips (good ground cover next spring) to shatter any chance at a pleasant culinary experience. Quaint, cozy, great food, great service. Our server was a real character, fun, and knew the menu. I'd come back here any time. The food was authentic, tasty, and the drinks were reasonably priced. It's also across from the Theatre we were going to that night, and so it's a great dinner and a show place. read more

Delicious Greek food and it's made fresh every time! Lovely staff and great decor, located right downtown and I've been here with vendors we have treated and they loved every experience. KW is lacking in proper Greek restaurants. I think it's because nobody in their right mind would try to compete with Three Kretans. I have had supper at Three Kretans twice - once several years ago and again last week. I can't explain why I had not gone back in so long, perhaps I was being foolish? This place _feels_ greek. The atmosphere is delightful. If you order some water with your meal the waiter brings glasses of ice and a glass bottle of water (it's the european way). We ordered more than water :) The food is fantastic. I had the Three Kretans pikilia (a bunch of meats) and my wife had moussaka. For dessert, it was the best Baklava we can remember eating in the city. read more

I don't eat Greek very often but I love to try new foods. On this week long trip in Canada this is my second Greek Restaurant. Simply put I would recommend the Three Kretans is you are looking for a good restaurant. The food was very good (except too many red peppers in my salad but that is nit picking). Service was very friendly and I had a great time. Parking is kind of confusing as every spot in the parking lot is reserved for this or that. I can't tell you how authentic everything was or if they used traditional herbs and spices but what I can tell you is I will eat here again. read more

I have been to Greece this year for my honeymoon & I must say, Greeks know how to cook! My standard for Greek food has definitely been heightened. I have been searching for a place around here that satisfy my cravings. Three Kretans was delicous. My husband and I shared their Red Pepper Feta Spread with their delicious warm bread (called Htipidi). Really reminded me of an appetizer we shared on our trip. We also got the Three Kretans Pikilia entree, which was very delightful. It contains chicken and pork souvlaki, gyro, and dolmadakia ( sides : rice, potatoes and Greek salad). Very nice! The gyro was particular good. The only issue I had was that it wasn't really a big enough portion for the price. I have been to several authentic Greek restaurants on this journey in hopes of finding true authentic greek food. I have been to places in London, Burlington and Toronto which have been more authentic and less expensive than this place. The lighting was a bit too dark, but our server was awesome and very friendly. All in all- a good experience, but my hunt is still on going for a true Greek food place in Kitchener/Waterloo. read more

Blend food, OVERPRICED and feels like the place has not been updated since 1999... Portions wer small and Taziki was a mouth full pure garlic.... Save your money and go to A&W and or Burger King....And parking there is a ZOO !!!!!!! good luck.... read more

I must say my experience with Thee Kretans was that of a very disappointing one this afternoon. Not only am I really thrown off by how the staff reacted to my concern but especially the management/ owner of the restaurant made me feel when expressing my issue to him. Earlier today I had a 30 min lunch break, a few of my staff members and I decided to visit the restaurant during our lunch to get some food. After ordering our take out food and paying an increased cost for a soup and salad combo to upgrade my order from the Greek salad to the village salad I decided to look over my order while my coworkers waited for their orders to come out the kitchen. After reviewing my meal I noticed the salad I paid an unreasonably increased price for was only half full with a very limited number of veggies. I was confused and unsettled with the fact I just paid $15.00 for a soup and salad combo only to receive a salad that only consisted of a half hand full of veggies. After brining my concerns to the waitress she told me shed bring me the manager to discuss things further with me. I simply expressed I felt unsettled about paying an upgraded price for a salad I was going to be receiving less for, and thought the management would have been to kind to understand my concern and top up the salad to at least fill the container. Unfortunately he was extremely nasty towards me and told me that I'm paying more because veggies cost him more than lettuce. I told him that from a customers stand point if I am going to be paying more the portions should at least be comparable to the price I am paying. He proceeded to act in a very degrading way towards me and told me if I wanted to add lettuce to add more filler to my salad he needs to change me AGAIN!! At this point I was so disgusted and disappointed in their costumer service I held my displeased emotions out and told him he simply disrespected me as a costumer and that me and my peers would not be returning due to his horrible cx service practices. I overall felt very degraded how he dealt with my concern and how as a corporation how stingy and cheap he reacted to my concern. Overall I would NOT recommend this restaurant to anyone due to how disrespectful him and his staff were. read more

My friends and I had the most amazing authentic Greek food at Three Kretans! The chicken souvlaki was perfectly seasoned and the tzatziki was to die for! We also got Saganaki, the flaming cheese! To our surprise they actually flambéed it right at out table with a big "OPA!".... not like other place we had been to in the past. The dessert was the best part - home made baklava... amazing!
