I've been to dozens of "old fashioned" candy shops around the country that are either really cheesy or just are so overpriced you won't want to buy anything. This candy shop has really nice variety of old fashioned US brands, current novelty ones that kids like, and quality imports. Prices on candy are very fair. They have a good selection of regional sodas that are pretty $$$ individually but you buy in sets of 6 it's more reasonable. Also the staff is INCREDIBLY friendly and helpful.

Next day went to the store checked hours and same thing thing. Closed early. Was able to see through the windows and found all kinds of plants I needed to add to my collection. And bam! Closed.
