This is my go to in my town for Chinese. We always get the same thing.... tonight? We tried something new..... big mistake Ordered the Roma Plate... ingredients include Scallop, big shrimp, chicken WITH broccoli, snow peas, carrot, straw mushrooms, and baby corn... in a red curry oriental BBQ "sauce" what I got? A soup like concoction ... swimming in a milk like liquid... with some shrimp, overcooked chicken cubes and slivers of some scallop.... WITH red and green peppers and onions?? Wth! I'm allergic to peppers! That's why I chose this dish! Where was the broccoli? Snow peas? Baby corn and straw mushrooms? In red curry and BBQ sauce!?? Not soup! I'm not sure why people rated this poorly... but I thought this was pretty good. I went for lunch when I was craving thai food near work and they had lunch specials which was awesome because they were cheap! I had the yellow thai curry w/ rice and it was very tasty :) The chicken was a little dry, but otherwise it was really good. I would definitely go back. I think next time though, I will call in and order and go pick up, although it was a quick in and out, I'd prefer to not have to pay a tip during my lunch hour. read more

This was our first visit to Chef Sun. We went there to celebrate a my husbands award he got at work. The ambiance was good, quiet. Server was nice. We ordered Egg Drop soup which I loved and my husband found just ok. Then we ordered 2 appetizers : Chicken dumplings (steamed) and Appetizer Sampler, which had 2 Chicken wings, 2 Thi rolls and 2 Chicken strips. The dumplings were worst. Too thick cover and very less stuffing. I've definitely had better. The sampler was dripping with oil. Thai rolls were miniature and has sea weed like stuffing. We didnt even dare to have oily the chicken wings. We walked out without finishing the dinner. Overall the food was very bad. It spoiled our celebration. For what it's worth it's an okay spot, obviously if ur looking for authentic food a combo spot like this wouldn't b the best pick but the service is friendly and prompt, the place is clean and orderly, and the portions r good for the price. I've been here a few times and the food is usually ok. Chinese dishes r certainly more well prepared than the Thai dishes, but most likely because the owners are Chinese. Go figure, right? read more

We live in Worcester and I will drive up to 3 Gorges for Chinese food from now on. Nice fresh food and lots of flavor. The Poo Poo platter was so tasty and no grease in the carton. I got 3 items from here: chicken fingers, chicken wings and chicken/broccoli combination which came with fried rice and rangoons. The fried items were perfectly adequate, although a bit too greasy, and the chicken broccoli was completely flavorless. Wow. Awful! Just had Mongolian beef delivered , side white rice. Got three little pieces meat with barbecue sauce, pound of Vidalia onion. Paid eighteen bucks for crap. We had eaten here years ago. It was awful then. When I looked it up, I didn't realize it was the same dump. Boy, did we get screwed. Again. What an awful meal. My husband is a trained chef, he would never, never serve anything as terrible as this. A complete disgrace. E don't even want our money back, as it will probably have roach eggs. Ugh!!!! read more

Really bad. The Pad Thai was colorless and lifeless. It wasn't fresh. It was borderline rotten. The egg looked like it was precooked. It looked like it had been sitting around for awhile. The shrimp (while sizeable) tasted close to dangerous. And the only flavors in the dish were sugar and vinegar. Worst of all,it was grey. Pad Thai isn't supposed to be grey. The dining room was depressing and the owner tried to gouge by overcharging. All in all a regrettable visit. read more

I think this place is great!! Every time I have gone to this Chinese restaurant they have been very nice and the food is always ready on time every time. I always get the dinner combination chicken and white rice in a brown sauce and it is really good. I recommend this restaurant!! read more

Lunch was good and fast service. Tends to be on the bland side. Necessary to request extra spicy to be on par with medium spicy at other places. Extra $ for hot oil. Clean , good quality take out. Pad Thai needs more peanut flavor , had the lime tinge but no sufficient kick of the sweet chilly . read more

Love their food anytime, especially those with curry sauce. The egg drop soup, pan-fried pork dumplings, scallion pancakes and crab rangoons are great appetizers. For entree, try the chilli duck accompanied with white plain rice - it tastes really good especially during winter. The jumbo shrimp in lobster sauce is just as good, although sometimes, depending on who the cook is, it can be too salty. Overall, my husband and I love to go there from time to time as the food is cheap and it is really a home-style Asian food. And we know what we should order and what we should not, as not all the dish are suited to our palates. read more

The food here will not be missed. The building that this restaurant was in has been completely torn down as of about the beginning of June 2014. Don't bother going here as all you will find is a hole in the ground. I don't know if this restaurant will be back after the building is rebuilt. read more

I was reluctant to try Three Gorges 3 after seeing bad yelp reviews. However, we really felt like Chinese or Thai, & this business was most convenient to our address. The place was clean and most presentable, complete with an aquarium. Young woman who took my order was polite, & the Singapore Rice Noodle was beyond fantastic. Can't wait to return! read more

Bear in mind - I registered an account just to post this. The most, without a doublt absolute horrible chinese food I have ever eaten. I cannot stress to you enough how much the lo mein tastes JUST LIKE Ramen noodles. and I say that with whole hearted honesty - to the point where i think it WAS ramen. I'm in no way whatsoever picky about my food, i'm the guy who will microwave a burrito and eat it still half frozen and I ordered thinking it would be average and people are just picky on here.. NO. and i honestly DO NOT remember the last time I felt scammed, like i wasted my money that shameful feeling. This is one of those times. A whole 18 dollars gone because of this shit. I HONESTLY believe i might even get sick later with how gross it was, and guess what. I still ate it, because i don't throw food away. If you ever want to get your so-so food delivered make sure you call it in and don't order online. As it was approaching an hour after I got my order confirmation I decided to call and check. The person on the line told me they never got an order, then told me to hang on while she checked into it. After waiting what seemed like 10 minutes but was at least 5 minutes for her to return to tell me they found the order and would be out in 15 to 20 minutes later didn't offer an apology or anything. and to top it off still didn't show up for 1/2 hour. I will from now on order from a place other than this even if I have to go pick it up I can do better than 1:40 wait time for dinner. read more

First (and most likely last) visit. Got the Kung Pao to go. Not even sure if the small amount of literally minced pieces were chicken. Way too much celery and huge chunks of green pepper. The steamed rice was fine, but how could they screw that up, right? Luckily, I had a little cash because they don't take plastic for anything under $10. This tidbit of info is not posted anywhere in the restaurant or online although they do for any delivery orders (min. $15). Find it funny that they still show a notice on their website (www.threegorgesthree.com) that they will not have delivery service on December 31st, 2013. The cherry on top is that they have a water fountain right in front of the reception desk that has obviously splashed up against the desk and ajacent wall which turned to mold or mildew. I have tried to like this place as it's the closest Chinese takeout to my house and I like to support local businesses, but this is seriously some of the worst service I have ever received at a take out (or any, really) restaurant. I have probably gotten takeout from there about 10 times, and it has never once been completely right. After the first few times, I began checking the order in the restaurant so I didn't get home with a wrong order and even then they would rudely tell me that I hadn't ordered what I thought I had or that they couldn't change the order or give me a refund. The times when they did agree to fix my order, it took forever and they still acted as if it were my mistake, not theirs. I finally decided to stop ordering from them and held off for about a year. Then, last weekend I was hungry and I decided to give them another shot. I called and placed an order at 11:30 for a couple of "combination plates" for my family's lunch. I didn't have a menu in front of me, so just ordered from memory (an entree, white rice, egg roll, pretty standard stuff.) I got there to pick it up and it was almost $25 for two combo plates. The woman rudely informed me that I had ordered dinner combination plates (they call their lunch combo plates "luncheon specials") and she couldn't change the order. I told her I would not pay for dinner plates when it was lunch time and if they weren't sure whether I wanted the "dinner combination plate" or the "luncheon special" they should have asked me on the phone. She had to call a manager, who indicated that it was my mistake, but he could charge me for the lunch specials if he made the order "a lot smaller." So, apparently he took some food out of my containers and then they were able to charge me lunch prices. Upon inspecting the plates, it turns out they were incorrect anyway (ordered white rice, they gave me pork fried rice), and he begrudgingly fixed that as well while rolling his eyes and speaking in Chinese to the workers in the back who were then laughing. I gave them one final shot but that is it. If the food were really spectacular, I could deal with rude and dishonest (seriously? charging dinner prices at 11:30am just because I called it a "combination plate" and not a "luncheon special" on the phone?), but the food is just ok. I will travel a little further for kinder, more honest service and similar quality food. read more

Three Gorges Three in Westborough, MA is an uber-filthy Chinese takeout dive. It is gross. The bathroom looked like it had not been cleaned in 6 months. My 6 year old went in there to go to the and it even freaked her out. I looked around the restaurant and I noticed tons of dirt on the floor and a couple old dirty vending machines. I should have just left but idiot me still ordered. The food was OK, but the experience in the bathroom ruined my meal. I will never go back to Three Gorges Three again. read more

I have been going here since around 2000 since it was Chef Sun! Granted it has gone through different ownership and names over this time, and a few decor changes. This is the only place I will eat Chinese food from. The food is consistently delicious. Generous portions and I typically have to take some home. Fast service. I always get the wonton soup (the best wonton soup I have ever had. No wonton soup compares to this). I also always get the General Gau's chicken and fried rice meal which is always well prepared, fresh and tasty. They used to serve complementary green tea when you arrived but that hasn't happened the last two occasions. Highly recommended. I was coming to this location and had been ordering delivery from here for years when it was Chef Sun. Ever since they changed it to Three Gorges they have continuously displayed bad service and terrible greasy overpriced food. They only have one delivery person who is late bringing food 90% of the time even if it is in the middle of the week not during dinner or lunchtime. They use wayyyyyyy too much oil and grease in their food and I know Chinese food depending on what you get is expected to have "some" grease but the food is definitely not supposed to be swimming in it.. The woman who answers the phone most of the time is short tempered and rude all the time. If you go there to eat the place looks tacky and not clean and when it was Chef Sun it looked better and was always clean and had an excellent staff. I have given this place numerous chances but I can finally say I'm throwing in the towel and using my money to buy a frozen bag of PF Chang's to make at my house or going to a different place from now on. Save your money and don't come here it's terrible. read more

Wonderful lunch buffet - cheap and has a delicious mix of Thai and Chinese food. It usually has the makings for pad thai and at least one Thai curry on the buffet. The hot and sour soup has a nice depth of flavor, the Chinese offerings are varied and the staff is great. read more

We do get delivery from these guys occasionally, but because they're the only ones that will do so! I've definitely had worse chinese food but these guys are nothing to write home about. I feel like quality has declined since they merged with Chef Sun. Recently the wings have been super dried out, smallest beef teriyaki I've ever seen, and the ribs tasted spoiled the last time I ordered them. We were hoping to see an improvement after the merger but it seems to be the opposite. It's really a gamble on the quality depending on who the chef is it seems. This small, family-run place is strictly for take-out. They do have a few tables, but when we ate there recently they had only plastic flatware, paper plates, and no ice for a warmish soda. That being said, the food is very good and very fresh. They have all the popular Chinese dishes and make a very good mushroom egg foo young. We also had a dish called ginger chicken which had a mildly spicy ginger flavor and lots of large mushrooms. Of course, there are plenty of offerings without mushrooms. After 2 1/2 hours, they still had not delivered. I called the restaurant and was told that they would cancel the order and he hung up. They are rude, and the delivery sucks. Ordered some chinese delivery last night. First of all, I could order online. Which was sweet. The order arrived in 30 minutes. Food was very fresh. We liked every one of the dishes. Kids also said they loved the food. We ordered satay chicken, chicken lomein, Gao's chicken, pad thai and some other stuff. Everything was very good.
