    Mongolian chicken
    Wendi K.

I love what they've done with the place. Very cozy spot with a TV. I ordered the chicken Mongolian with the expectations of loading my own bowl with tons of veggies. Nope! There is a list of veggies that are included and you just let her know what not to include. I was little concerned about how the food would come out because the cooking technique was a little simplified compared to the previous owner. The food is still cooked on the large wood stove. It was more like cooking on a griddle technique. BUT! I must say the food was good. It did remind me of yakisoba. Had tons of flavor. Carrots were delicious and sweet. Right amount of spice. I only wish the portion size was a little bigger for the price and that they had pineapple. Recommend!!

3rd visit to THE NEW & INCREDIBLY IMPROVED, THREE FLAMES BBQ. Javier & amazing Chef Anthony presented us with many culinary delights. Two of which were the Seafood Mongol BBQ, the other the hands down best & most creative CrispyPork Belly Taco Ever. It great to have a new great go to restaurant in our Westchester neighborhood. Thanks Frank & Staff from Monica & Bobby. BTW, really booze as well!

So what do you get when a family takes over an old school hole in the wall Mongolian BBQ restaurant in a strip mall on a quiet stretch of Manchester Boulevard in Inglewood and brings in a Michelin-starred chef to create a Mexican-inspired menu of tacos and tostadas? Magic, Kevin. You get magic. My wife read about Three Flames on NextDoor, a website I generally hate, but this time it was a score. As soon as we entered, we were greeted by Frank, who introduced himself as the husband of the owner. He immediately made us feel welcomed and proudly gave us a brief history and walked us through the menu. The small dining room is adorable and the vibe is impeccable. The other patrons were friendly and welcoming. It's not fancy. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. And the food! We ordered the fish taco, the scallop taco, the albacore tostada and the beef Mongolian BBQ. Everything was delicious. My personal favorite was the tostada, which was awesome with a drizzle of the house pineapple habanero hot sauce. My wife had a hard time picking a favorite, but really enjoyed the BBQ, which comes as a dish, hot off the grill and was one of the best versions I have ever had. The bottom line is that we spent a lot of our dinner talking about who we could bring with us next time. It was a long list and we can't wait to come back and continue working our way through the menu. But honestly, you shouldn't take my word for it. You should check it out. Not only because the food is amazing, but also because supporting small family run businesses is more important now than ever.

Before I added the sauce! Very Delicious

I really liked the vibe and the food was next level. I had a few things and the item that stands out to me was the albacore tostada, amazing in every sense of the word. I recommend this to anyone who likes great service and crazy good food...

Franks way burger with crispy fries

We had the albacore tostada, the ceviche tostada and the kids had the burgers. Everything was very flavorful! Definitely coming back to try the tacos . Anthony the chef was fast and friendly . Great music and the Dodger game was on! Cozy seats, nice decor.

    Great Menu!!!

Great Food!!! Delicious Tostadas!! Service is awesome!! I love the TV to watch Dodgers games!! Thank you Three Flames!!!!

Nice cold beverage with a mixed seafood tostada.

I have been coming to this restaurant since 2007. Yes it's under new ownership but the original noodle dish still is made . In addition new items have been added like seafood tacos and tostadas . You can come alone or with a group and mix and match dishes and enjoy your dining experience. Because that is in fact what has been created an experience you will all love . I will continue to support and look forward to trying all of the new dishes. Thank you for the welcoming service.

And I/WE came here specifically to try the pescado zarandeado...which is a whole snook fish splayed, grilled and seasoned Nayarit style. Myself and friend ordered the smallest size which starts at reasonable $33/ whole fish. Side orders we had were rice, caramilzed grilled onions, extra tortillas and grilled whole shrimp. Preparation and wait time was about 30 minutes. We opted to dine in the covered outdoor patio. What a fantastic meal. It was enough food easily for 4-6 people with hearty appetites. The fish was beautifully prepared and came garnished with sliced red onions on a big platter. You just dive in and grab your fish with fingers, forks, spoons or tortillas. It was perfectly seasoned, not fishy...a mild flavored fish similar to red snapper or bass. It came with the head too that has pockets of meat. I dribbled a but of salsa on my fish to seal the deal and dived in ! Was damn delicious and filling. Even had some to take home. Was definitely a Sho'am good seafood experience!

Really fresh, nice starter to share. We tried to order the Filete de Pescado à la Plancha but were first told it would be ten minutes extra, then told it would be 20 mins extra, so we ended up ordering the Seafood Mixto instead. Disappointed that the filete is not readily available, especially since it's a pretty basic item. The Mixto was very flavorful, great seasoned broth, but so much more broth than seafood. Tacos al Gobernador were a nice surprise - full of shrimp and cheese with a nice crispy exterior, probably the best dish of the night. Shrimp à la Diabla was also full of shrimp with a nice sauce, not too hot. Service was inconsistent - rarely checked on us and it took a while to get our bill. Also, parking is tough. You will have to find parking in the neighborhood behind the restaurant. Overall solid for a first time - food has real flavor and the Governor tacos and Diabla are worth ordering. Just wish the filete was available without the long extra wait.

Parking is a bit tight, with only one spot in the back and limited street parking, so keep that in mind. They do have a small patio outside, though, which was really nice to sit on and enjoy the breeze. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the whole fried tilapia, but take my word for it--it's a MUST if you're in the mood for cooked fish. The outside is perfectly crispy while the inside stays flaky and tender. It comes with fresh cucumber and Spanish rice with corn, which is a great complement to the simplicity of the whole fried fish. But if there's one thing that sets them apart and is an absolute MUST TRY, it's the Aquachile. The balance of citrus and spice is perfect. The raw shrimp practically melts in your mouth as it soaks up all that delicious sauce. Seriously...my mouth is watering just thinking about it. We also tried the Mango Ceviche, which was good overall, but unfortunately the cucumbers were a little bitter, which threw off the flavor for me. The trash was overflowing, the toilet seat covers were smashed into the inserts, and there was paper all over the floor. Bathroom: 1/5. I sat down, and the menus were already on the table. I wasn't quite sure what I wanted to order, so we started with a lemonade and a tea. We ordered the Clobster roll with fries, and I ordered the Connecticut Style lobster roll with no fries and a side salad. The side salad with ranch dressing definitely hit the spot! Unfortunately, the Cajun shrimp roll didn't do it for me. It needed more flavor and mostly tasted like mayo. After two bites, I decided not to eat it and gave it to my son. He enjoyed his meal, though! I also ordered another lobster roll to go, along with a soda and fries, for a friend of mine who works down the street at the barbershop. I was also gifted a juice and a huge cookie, which was a nice touch! If there's one thing I'd change, it would definitely be the bathroom. Other than that, I enjoyed the TVs, the overall look and feel of the place, the area, and especially the guitars and décor. Those details really gave the restaurant some character. Would I come back? Yes -- but I'd definitely try something different next time. Thank you, Rudy! Overall rating: 3.8/5
