We were fortunate enough to visit one of the more popular locations in Uncle Mike's Bake Shoppe. They were pretty busy when we arrived. Looking inside there is a refrigerated section with some homemade goods, some doughnuts and fresh baked bread, and the piece de resistance, the kringle. They had several flavors including blueberry and caramel apple which they were unfortunately out of. We ended up selecting two halves since we couldn't make our mind and you only live once. We went with the Door County Cherry and Strawberry Cream Cheese. They also had some very generous samples available. First of all, the "half" kringle is huge. Looks more like a whole kringle. We really enjoyed each of them. Both flaky, buttery and tender. Loved the Door County Cherry but we might give the edge to the Strawberry Cream Cheese. That is a really tasty and indulgent combination. They do ship their kringles however getting a fresh one is a special treat. Some of the best kringles that we have ever had!

You order at the counter and then they bring the food out to you. We ended up ordering a cinnamon roll, the roasted and the sunny along with a cup of coffee and a refill. We were shocked to see that a cup of coffee is only $0.95 in house and a refill is $0.50! That's cheaper than one cup of most and this is their own roast. Definitely recommend taking advantage of the coffee prices, since even the to go coffee is way cheaper than most. The bagel sandwiches were both very solid and left you full. One thing of note is that they do make their eggs for the sandwiches in the microwave, so if there are a lot of orders, it can take a while to get the food. That being said, the eggs are nice and fluffy and well seasoned. We'll definitely be back if we're ever in the area. Also, just have to say that their logo is fantastic! I wanted to buy all of the merchandise when we were their, and they have a lot of merchandise!
