I had a friend passing through town and staying at a hotel that was close to here. I gave her the option of a few places to meet up for dinner, and she chose the three dollar café. I love that the restaurant is sort of half sports bar and half bar and grill. What I mean by this is that there's a space if you just wanna hang out and do adult things, and space if you want to bring the family and sit down to a meal. there are TVs literally all around the restaurant area. There is not a single angle someone could be sitting at where a television is not viewable. This is great if anyone is, your table is really into the game that's on. No one will ever have to train their neck in this restaurant to check a score. They have tables for all sizes of groups, but what's really great is the role of extra large booths in the center of the restaurant. We had a party of seven-- two adults, two small children, and three teenagers. We fit extremely comfortably in a booth with space to spare. Our waitress was excellent with the children and teens alike. The pacing of the service did lag a bit, but it was fine for us since we were taking the time to catch up. Everyone enjoyed their food. The adults both ordered cocktails off the $3 menu. Those were tasty, but (depending on age) you might do better to upgrade to top shelf alcohol. read more

We visited TDC last night. First, our waitress was very nice however, we waited near one hour for our food to come out. A party of five came in after us and got their food within 20 minutes or so of being there and all of their food came out at one time. After we got our food the food was cold, I let the waitress know and she took it back. She also said she was going to get her manager to comp the meal because of the wait. The manager comes out and asks what the issue is. I was a bit annoyed at that point because I was certain the waitress had already told her what the problem was. The manager said there was something wrong with the order screen in the kitchen and that's what took so long with our food. But again, a party of four came in after us and got all their food and drink long before us. The manager said she was going to have them re-cook the meal. The meal comes back hot but at this point it's been an hour and a half approximately. I asked for a to go box and my partner asked for the check. He looks at the bill and notices what I ordered has been taken off but then added back on later. He asked the manager why this was. She said that it was taken off when I sent the food back but added back on when they cooked it over and that's done because all food has to be accounted for. I'm like- what? So, the initial order comes out 53 minutes after we ordered it, comes out cold, you take it back to re- make it and you charge me still? No compensation for the near hour (well actually an hour and half including the re-cook) I waited for our order to come out? We won't be going back there again. The only reason why I have this visit a two star is because the waitress was attentive and nice. read more

When I say that the crispy chicken club is absolutely amazing. It's my favorite thing to get when I come here. The flavor is consistent and the quality is always fresh. It's a casual dining place and it has all the touches of a game day bar. It's clean and the servers are efficient and kind. Went here to catch a Thursday night football game and grab a bite to eat. They have a spacious inside space and an outdoor patio with televisions. I sat outside and received excellent service from a nice young lady. The food did take awhile to come but once received it was delicious. I've dined at Three Dollar Cafe before, but this was my first time ordering from this location. I placed an online order around 11-11:30 PM, so I went with the late-night menu since the full menu wasn't available at that hour. The selection was limited, but it worked for a post-event craving. I ordered a few things, but the lemon pepper wings really stood out. My partner ordered them, and although I'm usually not a lemon pepper fan, these were honestly some of the best I've had super flavorful, wet (not dry!), and cooked just right. The ordering process, however, was a bit frustrating. I tried to create my own Cobb salad, thinking I couldn't order from the full menu, and ended up paying about $15 for a tiny house salad with bacon and egg added. For that price, I definitely expected a larger portion or at least a proper Cobb salad. Overall, the wings won me over, but I'd recommend more clarity on the menu options and portion sizes during late-night hours. I've been coming to Three Dollar Cafe in Stockbridge on Hwy 138 for the past three years. I've never really had an issue or complaint. However, lately the front desk Customer Service is not been the best last few times I've been here. I had to wait up thehost desk from 5 to 15 minutes before anyone comes to seat or take your order. I've watched numerous people walk out because the weight was just too long. On this day with three tables with customers at it and approximately three customers at the bar I waited approximately five minutes before I was seated. I ordered the grilled salmon requested that it would be blackened and well done and substitute the vegetable medley with broccoli. After waiting 20 minutes for my meal to come out, the server (which was a new server) comes to the table and tells me they do not substitute and if I wanted to substitute there will be an up charge. I explained to him I get this same meal every week and I have never had a problem substituting nor been up charged for broccoli. Broccoli is on the menu as a regular side as is vegetable medley. Nonetheless, he goes back and talks to the manager (JoJo) who told him "no substitute"decided to go ahead and give me my broccoli. I waited for a minute before I started to eat because I wanted some more lemon so I could put it on my broccoli, he never came back to the table until I was done eating the salmon and mashed potatoes. The server finally brought the lemon. I then started to eat the broccoli by the fourth piece of broccoli out of about six broccoli sprouts I'm bored I felt hair in my mouth. I pulled the hair out and I laid this silky slightly curly hair on the edge of my plate. The manager, who at the time I didn't know she that she was the manager, walks by the table to go serve the food to another table. As she walked by, I asked her can you please ask my server to come to the table for me she says OK in a very haste, almost snappy attitude. While I'm waiting for the server to come, she steps back to my table and ask, was there something that I wanted to say I said yes I'm waiting on the server or a manager. She then lets me know that she is a manager "what's wrong?" I said there was hair in my broccoli and I pointed to the plate. Without her, even looking at it, she said well we only have Mexicans in the kitchen. I said, "are they all hairless Mexicans?" because this is a silky piece of hair that could possibly be one of the cooks. She then proceeded to tell me no they all have straight hair. And this was the manager's response to me showing her the hair that she never took a glance at. She then says oh I'm sorry about that and walks off. Never comes back to the table. Didn't offer me a discount, a coupon. NOTHING. I would've settled for the 50% off of the dish. But, no that's too much like right and she probably thought that I planted it there myself. Nevertheless, my check comes out and it's the full price of my meal and I also ordered lemon pepper shrimp to go. Which I didn't expect to be discounted. Once I see that I was charged full price I tell my server I'm not satisfied with that. "Can you get your manager, please." The manager (JoJo) came back with the receipt and handed it to me and said I took 25% off. I'm sorry about the hair your food. Me not trying to be confrontational. I accepted it. However, I knew I was going to write a review. I myself have been in the service business industry for over 30 years. I am a stickler for great customer service. We called at 7, were quoted 15-20, got there at 7:45 and order was still not ready. They remade the order with the ONE removal and yet forget other pertinent ingredients (that came with the meal initially) and forgot the accompaniments that should come with them as well. Tonight was my 2nd time coming to the Stockbridge location & I'm adding it to my rotation. The first time I went was a few months ago & I had the TDC burger with sweet potato fries (burger was delicious & SP fries were okay). My dad had the country fried chicken (he said it was great!) & we ordered the Black & Bleu chips (they were decent). My uncle had the TDC burger with fries. This time I ordered the TDC fish sandwich & OMG IT WAS AMAZING & massive. I could eat it every day! The fries were so good too. I'm trying to stop myself from returning tomorrow & ordering it again. Steak fries are regular cut here, chicken fingers are actually the size of a finger, coleslaw more like vinegar base cabbage. My husband and I came here for the first time. We noticed that the restaurant was pretty empty, there was about 3 other guest here as well. Our waitress, I believe her name was Chaela (may be incorrect spelling- if so I apologize!) was extremely friendly and very tentative. She checked on us regularly and I believe she gave good customer service. The food was OK. My husband received a burger and he said the burger itself was dry. I got some wings and I was under the impression they were going to be hot, but unfortunately they were not. I love hot spicy food so this was a disappointment. The wings were a tad bit overcooked as well. As an appetizer, we got the spinach dip. I thought it was a little weird they put Pico on top of it as I've never seen this before. I did not think that was needed honestly. The spinach dip was good. I'm not sure if I would come back as the food was a bit of a disappointment me. We will see :) read more

After a mixup with my order - that I took responsibility for - I waited 30 minutes for my food to come out again. My son finished his meal in that time. She refused to bring my food or my check.
