Woo hoo! Just what we needed out here in PoMo -- a reasonably priced, high-end, doggie boutique and bakery for the influx of dog-children around these parts! On my dog's birthday a week ago, I was at Bosley's picking up a few utilitarian dog supplies (replacement industrial strength dog toys and her usual dog food). I struck up a conversation with a couple of customers and the staff, and it came up that it was my dog's birthday. A lady, purchasing about 35 cans of cat food asked "Did you get her a cake?" Well no, I hadn't, but I suddenly felt guilty. As a self-proclaimed obsessive dog-mom, I should have at least bought her some silly, dog-appropriate baked goods. So I decided to stop by Three Dog Bakery at Suter Brook Village and pick up a few things. I've seen a few Three Dog locations around, but have never gone in to one before. As soon as I entered, the smell of vanilla and graham crackers made me hungry. A lovely little Sheltie named Radar (I think) came by to say hello while my ill-behaved hound yanked anxiously on the other end of the leash. While the gentleman behind the counter assisted another customer, I browsed the random (and plentiful) doggie non-edibles: fancy leashes, toys, random accessories. They even have a doggie massage section! The main event, though, is the bakery counter. It looks and smells just like a human bakery. It was really hard to decide what to get. They had a huge variety of cookies and cakes. Eventually, I settled on the pupcake and these fake-chocolate cookies (I can't remember their punny name). I also left with a sample of their house-made dog food, and a hilarious "poop-tart" toy. While the store itself was fantastic (clean, well-organized, well-stocked, with a huge selection), the service was above and beyond. My dog is crazy-picky, and he helped me choose the perfect treats for her size and breed. Also, the variety in their fresh products was incredible: cakes of various sizes and types, cookies that look more delicious than most of the human variety, and with different ingredients to provide for dogs with specific dietary needs. He was even whipping up a batch of doggie ice cream while I was there! I'm really glad to know that there is a great place to stop in with my pup for a treat within easy walking distance. I will most certainly be back -- maybe later today! read more

Casey loves to come here and shop. They have a good selection of fresh baked dog treats that any dog will do back flips for. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. Last time Casey was there we got him a nice little birthday cake, something every dog needs on their birthday. Bring your dog in and perhaps (s)he can visit with some of the other shopping dogs in the store, this place is for dogs what Starbucks is for humans. read more

My pup Kona & I love Three Dog Bakery. The staff are always friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, the selection is excellent and they often have sales that provide great deals on their general merchandise. I usually pop in once a month or so to stock up on doggie baked goods and Kona still hasn't made it through every variety of treat. Everything he's tried, he's at least finished and some of those treats have him begging for more. We've also bought some cute dog sweaters & jackets here (1/2 chihuahua = freezing dog in winter) & at the end of last winter I got a waterproof, fleece lined coat for 40% off! One of the best Dog stores around. Very helpful owners with a wealth of knowledge. Fabulous personalized baked goods (including Birthday Cakes ) and super cute accessories in addition to the regular dog food and supplies. Reasonably priced and loads of selection. These guys are great, and I always like coming in here. Location is convenient and I have always had really friendly service. I never feel pressured but I do feel like the staff are knowledgeable when asked a question. I did all my doggy Christmas shopping for my dog's 'cousins' here this year and it was a one stop shop that made things easy. Yes. They're a 'touch' more expensive than your big box store but if you're not expecting that when you come in to a local place you need to adjust your expectations. Shopping local is important to communities, so I'm happy to pay their prices. Again, the prices are minimally different. Their selection of both toys and treats are great and I like seeing that they have a lot of Canadian brands. I also love the 'bakery' feel to it with their display cases. My dog loves their bulk itty bitty bones and the twirlly bully sticks and the ducky feet. read more

Dog owners are insane. Like just straight up crazy people who pretend their furry animals are children. Fortunately for us psycho dog parents, Three Dog is here to satisfy our need to spoil our pooches. The store is very well kept, extremely clean and best of all, stocked full of fun unique dog treats and accessories! Over the past few months, I've purchased a birthday cake (yes, they personalize it with your dog's name), a rain jacket, squeaky toys and numerous packaged and fresh bakery treats. My dog has loved them all! Their customer service is also top notch and I really feel like everyone who works here just loves dogs. The first jacket I purchased was too large and they allowed me to exchange it even though the tags were off. They even gave me a courtesy call when a sweater I wanted came back into stock! Even human retailers aren't that kind sometimes. read more

The minute you walk in your notice that the display cases of treats look as good as a human bakery. Dogs can't tell designs, therefore, the designs were pure indulgence and manipulative creative marketing of the baker on site (with good fun and reason). The high light of this store is the bakery and the treats were are all very reasonably priced. Made with quality they're good enough for people to eat (I've eaten dog treats in the past with Freedom 'cause there's only sugar and salt missing, however, they're just as good as regular dog treats). The lady at the til was very friendly and you could tell that she loved dogs, however, was a bit perplexed by her lack of networking skills. They have doggy brunch that is complementary. The other items in the store were general items that you would get at any other dog store, therefore, highlight is the windowed treats. read more
